There are 33 giant sequoia groves in our Southern Region of the Giant Sequoia National Monument, some easily driven to, and some remote. Our ranch is a nature preserve and an education demonstration site, teaching sustainable and regenerative land use practices. River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public. Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Our home is 1622 sq ft with plenty of space to make yourself comfortable. As you walk into our home you will see our open living room and oversized couch. You’ll then immediately see our kitchen and dining room. Our kitchen table seats 4 and we have 2 barstools in the kitchen for the bar area. Down the hallway you’ll see our first bedroom with a Queen size bed, the laundry room, and a hallway bathroom. Then straight ahead you’ll see our master bedroom with a bathroom a walk-in closet, full bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Our home does have AC/Heating by mini split units that are all new & purchased & installed in June 2022 and are maintained monthly. We also have 2 twin folding beds that can be set up in either bedroom or the living room. Purchased August 2022 for additional sleeping. Ring cameras are located on the outside of the property. No cameras are inside. Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio enjoying nature. A propane barbeque is located on the front porch. Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in & around the area & Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY. BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park.
