From interest in the site to booking and staying the night our experience with Tao was timely and seamless. We found the site easily, parked and quickly relaxed in the hot tub. The site was creative, truly unique in the middle of the high desert. Rain fell for a bit, allowing us to take in the scent of creosote. The moon was full! We had a lovely stay and would return.

I really enjoyed this campsite. I definitely recommend arriving in the daylight! All of the communal areas are so beautiful. My dog and I hiked up the mountain, prepared breakfast in the outdoor kitchen and swam and ate out by the beautiful pool. The bathroom area is perfect! The outdoor bathroom has trees growing through the roof. I wish we could have stayed longer!

I loved how even when camping we were able to have access to home amenities like a hot shower and full kitchen. We were able to take in the views of joshua trees in the valley and breathtaking sunsets and sunrises. We will definitely stay here again, it was so peaceful.

We very much enjoyed a 3 night stay at vanarchy 1. Magically created and curated place for those wanting a unique stay in one of the most beautiful high desert locations within yucca. It's way off the road, secluded and provides the type of quiet that a desert dwellers and city dwellers crave. We happen to hit it just at the tail end of a storm and got graced with rainbows and mystical skies but it would serve us just as beautiful had it been a bluebird weekend. We enjoy the jacuzzi and all the other shared spaces were inspiring. Also appreciated getting to wander off and hike and enjoy the vast indigenous plants this place has to offer.
Thank you for making our first hip camp stay the best!

From the fully stocked kitchen to our door grill. Showers and bathroom were centrally located on the grounds making it a short walk no matter where you stayed. I would love to return!

What a well kept property and I have to mention it's 18+! So nice to mentally get away from innocent minds, I'm a mother myself and being able to just be an adult and not worry about being appropriate around little ones was so nice. I was so impressed with how well kept the property was, cute little touches with disco cactus and a warm fuzzy around to lay down on inside the Hut, the communal areas were inviting. Sara was present and was so nice to talk to happy we got to meet her. We will defiantly be back! We brought out pop up trailer and used electrical hookups and ground was leveled nicely for our trailer.

Gorgeous site and a very cool little compound, we had a great time lounging in the pool! Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Amenities were great too, having a real bathroom with a shower was a big plus, and we got lots of use from the kitchen area. Would love to go back!

Weekend Trip to High Desert Protocol
EVERYTHING went well, literally no complaints. Can't even believe how amazing, magical, mesmerizing and wonderful this place is. The prop. Manager was so nice and caring. The amenities are top notch for any camping style you choose. We could not get out of the pool it was so beautiful and breathtaking. So many times we stopped talking to just stare at the views. Even at night, the lighting around the kitchen and pool and the Joshua trees in the distance created the vibe of my dreams. The attention to detail with the design of this place is true art. I absolutely loved this stay and location and hosts. I've got gratitude to the moon and back, Thank you thank you! Knowing there are amazing locations like this in the world, created by thoughtful and caring artist and visionaries gives me hope for humanity. Would 100% come back. <3 Thank you again for this space, and what is now cherished memories.

I honestly don’t know where to start. This place is so beautiful and special, everyone is so welcoming and it is just such a calming and zen place to be. Watching sunsets in the hot tub, chilling reading and looking out at the incredible views. Me and my partner never wanted to leave and stayed an extra two days. Really was paradise!

This place was amazing! Tao was a great host and I don’t think you will ever find a set up like this. Truly one of kind. We chose a Vanarchy site to test out our new truck camping set up but will definitely book one of the air stream options for future visits. The pool, the communal areas, everything really felt like home!
