Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent or park your small trailer or RV in a picturesque orchard on the edge of Petit Jean Mountain. You'll have a backdrop of woods and grazing sheep, with the Petit Jean Farmer's Market barn -- offering locally sourced produce, cheese (some made on the premises), baked goods, honey, preserves, meat, and crafts -- only steps away. The market operates on Saturdays, when hot lunches are often served, but it is open on a self-serve basis the rest of the week. Petit Jean State State Park is a very short drive, with spectacular hiking trails, a CCC-built lodge and restaurant, and a lake. Welcome! We want to note on the front hand that if you decide to stay with us you will be staying in a pasture behind a gate. This is especially important if you are tent camping, because your things will be safe while you explore Hot Springs and surrounding areas unlike a State Park or regular campground! Our land is home to a plethora of animals that you can visit with or just watch during your stay. There are our cattle (their names are on their ear tags), horses, goats (working on getting collars with names), Pickles the mini donkey, and our chickens (when they go out to free range). We also have a stocked pond that you can bring your fishing gear and fish! There are bass, catfish and bream! The horses names are Vivian and Bonnie and they normally stay in the pasture with our campers. Vivian is the larger of the two white horses and she loves attention. Bonnie is also white, but she is a bit smaller. She is Viv's sister! There is also the opportunity to see several species of wildlife while here. Part of our land is cleared for pasture and the rest is undisturbed forest. Two different creeks and hundreds of cedars adorn the land, hence the name "Cedar Creek Farms." Come enjoy the sounds of Ouachita Mountain nature and farm life with us.

Batesville Mountain Campground is about "getting away from it all" with nary another soul in sight. . There are only four campsites on the entire property so you are nearly always out of sight and hearing of any other campers -- you can even upgrade for $10/night and have the entire place to yourself! It is that special!! And absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful! Sparky, the stone mason who quarried, cut and stacked every rock on every trail within the campground, has created a wondrous place to come camp and explore. We are now restoring Sparky's original homestead -- the one room Green Cabin (soon to be our new "romantic retreat" with outdoor kitchen and shower, chicken house, and two-hole traditional Swedish "utedass"–or privy. As to where to sleep ... well you may lay your head anywhere -- under the stars, atop a pinnacle, out in a field or sheltered in the woods by the river. FYI: The infamous Cadron Boy slept in a rock crevice on the property hidden from view for months before he was discovered. This is "DIY" camping -- as we have day jobs we are unable to cater to your every whim and you will have to be able to "depend on yourself" to negotiate the campground, set up your campsite and secure needed resources. Thus if there is any concern or question you really should stay at one of our other properties -- Camp Toasty or Pinnacle Springs Recreational Camp. Most people camp in 1) Sparky's Garden -- it is easily accessible, level, soft, and open to the stars. Plus the rock walls and banisters provide for a homey, safe feeling. And because it is close to privy and electrical charging station it is an obvious favorite. However, one of our favorite spots is atop 2) Deer Stand Rock which is literally perched atop a rock pinnacle -- great views but a long fall, be careful; this is NOT a place for "sleepwalkers". But you can also camp atop the bluff just up the hill from Deer Stand (and closer to your car) and still have some great sunset views. This site even has a picnic table, fire pit and level tent site (and trees for hammocks). As for privacy then we suggest 3) Piney Hideaway -- a campsite hidden from view in the stand of a large grove of pine trees west of Sparky's cabin. This campsite is so hidden we tempt you to even find it! You'll like it. And lastly, we have the new 4) River Camp -- a small campsite just above the flood plain and down close to the creek with the bluffs as your backdrop. This is your "summer station" when one needs an escape from the heat. Trails from Sparky's Cabin lead in all directions. The best trail -- the one to the creek -- descends over 100 feet to the creek and breaks out onto an overlook as you edge your way along the bluff and then descend a set of steps through a crack in the rocks. The trails from the campsites offer access to hiking, swimming, fishing and paddling. We'll be offering more info and pictures soon but wanted to get this posted if anyone wants a place far removed from everyone. You'll find no better place to "forest bathe".

This is a small .62 acre lot in a forested area with privacy and seclusion. Located .1 miles from Museum of Automobiles and 1.5 miles from Petit Jean State Park. A recently completed circle drive allows Class B motorhomes or small trailers to access camping area near unnamed intermittent creek. We are furnishing a 6' picnic table, 3 Adirondack chairs, and 2 wooden camp chairs with table near the creek, along with a horseshoe court and two 10' X 10' walk-in tent pads near the creek. Petit Jean SP is Arkansas' first state park and is the second most visited park in Arkansas. Fabulous day hiking or overnight backpacking in and around the park and fishing in Lake Bailey. Nearby there is also a petting zoo, horseback riding and farmers market and small airport.

We LOVED our stay!! It was quiet, great for star gazing, clean bathrooms and the farmers market was so fun to browse around. My daughter was in love with the in ground trampoline. We camped next to another couple but it was still very private. We can't wait to stay here again and spend some time on Petit Jean Mountain!

Quiet place to sleep and close enough to Pettit Jean to spend your day at the park. If you go in the summer watch out for ants at the fire pit! Ed made us feel very welcome and being able to grab a steak and veg from the market would have been ideal!

Our group of four had an absolute blast. Being October the sites weren’t filled up, so it was very peaceful. The property was beautiful and just refreshing. Aside from the showers not working when we stayed, I have nothing negative to say about our stay. We camped at site #9 and it was perfect for both tent and hammock camping. The outhouse was close and very clean. We unplugged while there. Though for those curious service was low, yet manageable if needed. We will definitely be back for another stay!

This was a nice little retreat for our family! We didn’t see the foraging garden but maybe next time we get down there we will. Very quiet and the kids loved the zip line! We were at #9 but I’d probably do number 3 next time for the perfect amount of seclusion but also close enough to let the kids go play at the ninja course and still see/hear them.

It was my first time tent camping. Was a bit nervous on night one but by night two I was so content. It was beautiful there. I was very thankful that the fire pit came with a griddle already. Ok so back to the first night, I was actually pretty terrified, I was trying to sound tough up above, it was SO dark. The road I had to go down to get to the campsite looked like they wanted me to end it all, but apparently i was just nervous and dramatic. It is steep, it is rocky, DEFINITELY wouldn’t recommend any small cars on that road but it was worth it! The stars were SO beautiful, there were so many, makes me wonder where those stars be hiding at when I look up at the sky at my house🤔 Your camera can not capture the true beauty of that sight so take a mental picture too, and keep it! We were by a creek which was a plus because I love a big body of water. The first night (in my head) it was surely the seen from a horror movie that I survived to be able to tell you that you MUST go experience it for yourself. I finally got to heat up a can of beans on a open fire out in the wood to eat because I was hungry, im not sure if I felt like an accomplished homeless person or the winner of Naked and afraid. Either way it was pretty dope. Oh so if you’re no lumber jack then I suggest you get the bundle of firewood. First night had to fend for myself, It was fun looking for the wood but it was all damp and wouldn’t stay lit. Beautiful scenery, 100/10 recommend, what are you waiting for??

Not surprising that #3 is our third most popular site == super family friendly!

We absolutely loved our night here. The site we tent camped at felt completely secluded & we were surrounded by beautiful scenery. From the creek in front of our site to the huge bluff behind us, we felt like we were camping in one of the national forests instead of a privately-owned campsite. We cannot recommend Pinnacle Springs enough - the only thing we would change is being able to stay longer.
