Heavener Runestone Park

17 sites · RVs, Tents55 acres · OK
This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive. The RV sites are not typical with limited hook-ups and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items but the gift shop is stocked with camping supplies, as well. Variety of small wildlife in the area. All sites allow campfires UNLESS we are under a county wide burn ban. *Note moderate cancellation policy for most dates - full refund 3 days before check-in time. April 5 - 11, 2024 there is a strict cancellation policy - full refund within 30 days of check-in.

3Ponds Beaver Dam

30 sites · RVs, Tents38 acres · Waldron, AR
3Ponds Beaver Dam offers 38 acres nestled between the Ouachita Mountains. If you enjoy pitching a tent and connecting with nature, there are many unique spots to choose from. If you can pitch it, you can pick it! The site offers woodlands, creeks, open hilltop views, and 3 stocked ponds. To maintain an exclusive and intimate setting, we are limiting the number of tents and RV parking during the April Solar Eclipse. The open sky views are amazing and beautifully reflect off the water in harmony with natures symphony. There is an abundant wildlife residing and visiting this location and the chances are good that at the right time you will catch a glimpse of the beavers at work, geese flying in, deer grazing, turtles crossing, and yes, slithering snakes. If fishing, please only take what you will eat that day and throw the others back into the pond. Two boats are available for guest, but feel free to bring your own floating device. There is a trail throughout the property for hiking or leisurely walking. There is a portable toilet and a clean water station. Campfires are allowed and a firepit is available. Trash bags will be located near the toilets, along with covered trash bins. Please do not leave any food outside or unattended because of wildlife. Seal all food containers before disposing. Picnic tables are available. Pets are allowed but leash and aggressive behavior rules apply. Pets running free will cause you to be removed from grounds. There should be no more than four guests per tent. There is a camper available to rent, but you must message us for availability. All liability and policy forms must be signed upon arrival.
