Really cool place to stay. The river was super chill and relaxing. The whole place was comfortable, bath house area was lovely and convenient. Several trails to explore. Host was very responsive and welcoming. I would love to stay there again!

The host has seriously thought of everything here. From the outdoor games, comforts in nature, vintage soda machine, and watercrafts available, it is awesome. We absolutely loved our stay! We enjoyed the private site, pedal boating, swimming with our dogs, and the luxurious shower house. Taking a bath while overlooking the water was stunning! It was amazing to have comforts like a bathtub, shower, and flushing toilet while camping! We can't wait to go back.

Weekend Trip to Bluegill Hill

I love camping here! Although we did have to leave earlier than expected due to rain. Charles has a great location that is secluded, and super well kept!! Would definitely come back!!

Weekend Trip to Caddo River Camp: Tent, RV, Cabins

The site was clean and it was very family oriented and accommodating. Tent camping is first come first served and there were plenty of spaces to choose from. Firewood can be bought on site as well as ice. We were there on a busy weekend so it was more recreational than rustic and there were plenty of people in the area. The owners were sweet and introduced themselves.

Weekend Trip to Diamond Glamping

This was a great site!! It was peaceful, relaxing and I loved the added benefit of a clean bathroom and shower. We enjoyed it so much, we even extended the day another day. I would highly recommend this experience.

We had an amazing time there! Charles our host was extremely careful and just made our experience all that more memorable! He offers firewood at reasonable prices! This was a very much needed time away to reconnect!the campsite is very private and beautiful! We had a 16' Sibley pro 600 bell tent that just fit (but this tent is huge! I'm mentioning this for people to get an idea of the main place is capable of big family tents. This place is right off US70west but sits back pretty far and is quiet and even during the week day you barely hear the semi trucks passing by. His listing is exactly what you get. It is primitive and definitely looking forward to returning in the future!

3 nights at Bluegill Hill

This was my 1st Hip camp experience on my own and I gotta say it was the best!!! Very clean and quiet even with it being so close to the road it was quiet! We have a 16' Sibley 500 bell tent and it fit tbt the area is honestly designed for a smaller tent and would be perfect for a hammock. It is a primitive site so bring water and a power source if your needs require it. Just a heads up we did shower at Jim Wylie rec area but tbt I don't know if we were supposed to or not since we weren't camping at that location but there wasn't anyone around to ask but if your willing to chance it like we did just know I might be a risk. Charles and his sweet dog and chickens were a highlight and super friendly and the best hosts! Firewood reasonable prices too at the site. We stayed 3 night and booked 4 total just so we could take our time packing up and not rush and enjoy it a bit more. We would love to come back again!!! Another heads up for those who might be thinking of visiting crater of diamonds: stop at a dollar tree and get trowels and bring buckets and a canopy or yard umbrella for shade and look up making screens and by doing this saves you over $100 in rental fees and such. Also do bring good tick and mosquito spray!!! Highly recommend permethrin as well as tick body repellent. We (my husband and I) had a blast mostly just relaxing and reconnecting and Fox Nook was the perfect spot to do just that! The stars in the sky at the sight were so pretty and listening to the owls.

Really enjoyed our time at Fox Nook. Clean and quiet, directions were clear and our host Charles was responsive. Would definitely stay here again. The lake is just a very short walk down one of two trails and very secluded. Just check yourself for ticks as 2 of the 4 people in our group had them.

We loved camping on Todd's land! The outdoor bathhouse was great after spending the day on the river/trails. Appreciated being able to use the kayaks. It rained quite a bit, but we had a good time hanging out on the porch.

This was a wonderful camping experience! The host Charles was extremely kind and hospitable, and the site was a great location and perfect for tent camping. The lake made this experience even better too!! I would highly recommend Fox Nook.

We were a group of 8, and we found a spot where we could have all of tents close by each other. The amenities were very good, and the site itself was beautiful, and well taken care of. There were easy to find trails thanks to the signs and some amazing views of the water. It was very private and a great experience for the inexperienced campers we had in our group. Charles is very nice and a very accommodating host. Site is about 30 minutes away from crater of diamonds state park which is why we were there to begin with! Definitely worth camping there.

Our trip to Thunder Mountain was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were completely taken by the beauty of the place. It's the perfect secluded spot—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and set up to be super comfortable. It truly felt like we had stepped into our own little slice of paradise. Todd and Elaine have done such an amazing job creating a space that feels both cozy and rustic. From the well-kept grounds to the thoughtful touches throughout, we felt so cared for the entire time. Communication with Todd was a breeze. The blog they put together for the site had everything we needed, and the directions were clear and easy to follow—so both getting there and settling in was completely stress-free. Definitely one of those trips that stays with you. We're already talking about when we can go back!

80+ acres all to yourself!! This beautiful and very secluded property, with river, kayaks, trails, and creeks is offered to only one group at a time to ensure peace, quiet, and seclusion. No other guests will overlap your stay. You will enjoy the peaceful solitude in nature completely alone! (Note on trails: Some trails are a little rough due to forest thinning operations that were done in Dec '24. We hope to have the trails back in great shape soon.) It's a great location for romantic getaways, silent personal retreats, yoga, playing in the river, or just spending quiet one-on-one time with your spouse or significant other. The last 1/2 mile of dirt road is sometimes rough, so cars with low ground clearance are not recommended. Campers on Thunder Mountain enjoy the entire property, including the unique outdoor bathhouse with outdoor tub and shower, amazing multi-level decks, kayaks, grill, trails, hammocks, and tubes - without the cost of the cabin. The cabin will be vacant during camping stays, but you can still enjoy the WiFi and other amenities outside. The Crystal Camp Campground is a rock hounding paradise and is less than two minutes from the Crystal Vista, Wegner and Avatar Crystal mines. This area of Arkansas produces some of the finest quartz crystals on earth and your chances of finding real treasure at any of the nearby mines is pretty much guaranteed. If your kids like to play in the dirt and hunt for treasure they will fill their pockets with real gems at any of the nearby mines. Please Note: This is a beautiful property and ready for your trip but guests should expect a work in progress as well. The property is newly cleared, we installed new picnic tables and have fire rings, but that's the extent of the amenities right now. This property was basically a 2 acre blackberry patch. About half has been cleared and 4 campsites created but the rest is still in progress. Work will not be performed during your stay. You may see tools and signs of recent work etc.. Located on a paved section of Owley Road in Mount Ida Arkansas. This is a large 2 acre property with four cleared sites that offer plenty of room for any size tent(s). Generators are welcome and pets are too. The property is bordered by old growth national forest and an ice cold spring fed stream is located in the national forest behind the property. Like all wooded areas in Arkansas ticks should be expected while hiking and camping at the Crystal Camp Campground. Please bring tick defense for yourself and pets.
