I moved to my dream home and property March 1, 2020. I refer to it as a hideaway because not only am I at the end of town, this is a dead end street so it stays quiet of traffic. Being downhill, next to the creek, I feel, is safer from tornados, as well, the echo goes uphill instead of downhill toward this property. I am learning town history from a friend that runs the historical society, here in town. As I learn things, I hope to share the information with anyone that may be interested. Learn more about this land: Peace, quiet, alone time or get away from the hustle. Located in the Ozark's. No freeways for miles. Lots to do around and at edge of small town community. I will be setting up the horseshoe pits soon and have board games as well as cards. I enjoy and look forward to sharing the beautiful land I live on. The front of my property is very flat and grassy, from the creek fence to the front side of my house. Mature trees that line my property provide nice shade in the spring and summer, however, the property is open air. The stars are spectacular. There is no light pollution. (once it is dark, you can't see your hand in front of your face) This is a small town of about 2000 people or so. There are quite a few shops as well as a grocery store, hardware store, a couple auto stores as well as a couple dealerships. There is a drive through coffee shop as well as a couple drug stores available in town. There are 3 to 5 different repair shops around. There is a beautiful golf course, 5-8 minutes away, just around the corner. . I live in a peaceful and extremely tranquil spot here. A good hideaway, if thats what you’re looking for. Hide away and recoup before your next big adventure. There are a few kids around that love to ride their ATVs, bikes, walk, skateboard and skate up and down Conniebrook Lane. We have bike rally's coming through town often, in the summer. Mt. View, AR, the bluegrass music capitol of the world is about 45 minutes away. Beautiful drive, to get there. Scenic overlooks on the way. Wheelchair Accessibility: I am sure any electric wheelchair would have no problem going over the grass area anywhere they wanted to go in the camping area. I hope if there are any issues, it would be brought to my attention and I would make it accommodating, immediately.. I am extremely handy and mechanical.

Batesville Mountain Campground is about "getting away from it all" with nary another soul in sight. . There are only four campsites on the entire property so you are nearly always out of sight and hearing of any other campers -- you can even upgrade for $10/night and have the entire place to yourself! It is that special!! And absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful! Sparky, the stone mason who quarried, cut and stacked every rock on every trail within the campground, has created a wondrous place to come camp and explore. We are now restoring Sparky's original homestead -- the one room Green Cabin (soon to be our new "romantic retreat" with outdoor kitchen and shower, chicken house, and two-hole traditional Swedish "utedass"–or privy. As to where to sleep ... well you may lay your head anywhere -- under the stars, atop a pinnacle, out in a field or sheltered in the woods by the river. FYI: The infamous Cadron Boy slept in a rock crevice on the property hidden from view for months before he was discovered. This is "DIY" camping -- as we have day jobs we are unable to cater to your every whim and you will have to be able to "depend on yourself" to negotiate the campground, set up your campsite and secure needed resources. Thus if there is any concern or question you really should stay at one of our other properties -- Camp Toasty or Pinnacle Springs Recreational Camp. Most people camp in 1) Sparky's Garden -- it is easily accessible, level, soft, and open to the stars. Plus the rock walls and banisters provide for a homey, safe feeling. And because it is close to privy and electrical charging station it is an obvious favorite. However, one of our favorite spots is atop 2) Deer Stand Rock which is literally perched atop a rock pinnacle -- great views but a long fall, be careful; this is NOT a place for "sleepwalkers". But you can also camp atop the bluff just up the hill from Deer Stand (and closer to your car) and still have some great sunset views. This site even has a picnic table, fire pit and level tent site (and trees for hammocks). As for privacy then we suggest 3) Piney Hideaway -- a campsite hidden from view in the stand of a large grove of pine trees west of Sparky's cabin. This campsite is so hidden we tempt you to even find it! You'll like it. And lastly, we have the new 4) River Camp -- a small campsite just above the flood plain and down close to the creek with the bluffs as your backdrop. This is your "summer station" when one needs an escape from the heat. Trails from Sparky's Cabin lead in all directions. The best trail -- the one to the creek -- descends over 100 feet to the creek and breaks out onto an overlook as you edge your way along the bluff and then descend a set of steps through a crack in the rocks. The trails from the campsites offer access to hiking, swimming, fishing and paddling. We'll be offering more info and pictures soon but wanted to get this posted if anyone wants a place far removed from everyone. You'll find no better place to "forest bathe".

First come first serve on each spot. The camp spots are not graveled, leveled, etc.. just the bare earth. The majority of this property is the woods, open fields, rough terrain, etc. So you will experience all Nature has to offer. Things like poison ivy, seed ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders, snakes, wildlife...Always check with the host on the app before arrival. Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. If you'd like to stay another night, you must reserve another night online.

If you explore our complete 80 acres here, we are located very close to many other attractions, hiking trails, and some of the best trout fishing in the world! Learn more about this land: Park your camper or RV in the lower field or pitch your tent deep in the woods or right over the cliffs on our picturesque ravine with a waterfall. Feel free to explore all around the ravine area and check out the spring downstream and our many acres of forested beauty. We have areas of hardwood forest and areas of cedar and pine. Check out the area of glade rock forest on the southern portion of the property but remember, this is nature! Dangers abound including high cliffs, loose and large rocks not to mention various animals including skunks and snakes among others! Hike at your own risk! You won't find another camping area like this, 5 minutes to Calico Rock (Stores and restaurants) with so much to do and see in the area, hiking trails, Gunner Pool and Blanchard caverns, since we are surrounded by the Ozark National Forest! Not to mention, world-class trout fishing or kayaking just 5 minutes away in the famous White River! Only 25 minutes to 2 Norfork Lake entrances, too! We now have a nice, new clean outhouse as well as offering a generous pile of firewood for just $10! More amenities like picnic tables are coming. You are free to explore the entire property (At your own risk) but I ask that you respect our privacy and avoid going close to our house and if we have any farm animals, please do not disturb them. This was truly the best camping place we’ve ever been to. The views were absolutely stunning, and the campsite itself was perfect for our tent. Robert and Susan went above and beyond to make the experience special. We even got a fun and super interesting coffee lesson (featuring some of the best coffee we’ve ever had), followed by a fresh latte handcrafted by Susan, which was absolutely delicious. Robert even sent my husband back with some of his coffee to share with the guys at the fire station, which meant so much to us. And if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped off homemade sourdough monkey bread, which was nothing short of phenomenal. Robert and Susan are honestly some of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. On top of the amazing views from the campsite, the common area was perfect—especially on the rainy day we had. We were able to relax on the couch with our dogs, stay dry, and still enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This was one of my favorite campsites of all time! The view from the bluff just a short walk down the hill is amazing! Great for viewing stars at night, too! It’s also nice to have a good shower and toilet available! The campground was full, but there are not many sites, so being able to use the shower/bathroom wasn’t a huge conflict. Robert was an extra kind host, and he brought freshly roasted (and brewed) coffee every morning to the common area! When we requested firewood through the Hip Camp app, he had it for us at our site very quickly. We were really tired and my husband was kind of feeling sick during our stay, so we did not hike on the trail down into the valley. But, we plan to camp here again and hike the trail! We have a pretty large tent (6 person tent) and we were able to fit it on the camp pad! The fire pit and picnic table were also nice additions to our camp life. We also hung up our hammocks over by the bluff and it was an amazing reading spot with a view! We loved everything! This is a great place to get away from the noise and busyness of modern life, but it still has amazing amenities like coffee, a bathroom, AND WiFi. 😄

We loved camping at Michelle’s land Rocky Creek Campground! The grounds were immaculate and the views were simply spectacular. From the mountains with river view, to the lake view, to the trails. Something for your eyes!!! Michelle and her husband were very nice and welcoming with us. Michelle greeted us at the entry and showed us around. The amenities were great! We camp with a 13ft travel trailer and usually set up our own bathroom/showering tent. However we found the outhouse very charming and fell in love with the outdoor showering rooms! Very quiet and peaceful campsite. Great for star gazing. Campsites are spacious and the lake is something to behold. We cannot wait to book again and spend more time!!!

We stayed here some nights when we first purchased this magnificent property. We fell in love with this view and the almost constant breeze.

Loved it there. It was a last minute booking for me, because my other plan didn't work out. But I am so glad I booked this. Best HipCamp I've visited so far. The view was amazing, the coffee was fantastic, the shower was hot, and the flushing toilet was more than appreciated. Robert and Susan were wonderful hosts. They greeted us at arrival, and made us immediately feel welcomed. They guided us right to our spot, and even got us situated with firewood. My daughter and I absolutely loved our weekend together, and did not want to leave. Coming back to the city stinks. I could have just lived right there on that bluff.

We loved celebrating our anniversary in this beautiful place. At all times we felt very safe, the communication was on point, the hosts were incredibly warm, attentive and very kind to us, even the other people camping at the same time were wonderful. Waking up and seeing a gorgeous sunrise in the middle of these beautiful mountains was a dream. So many comfortable things provided, warm shower, very clean spaces, delicious coffee and you can add in the payment needed stuff for camping in case you’re not prepared like us hehe. We came all the way from Houston and would come again :) Thank you guys for a wonderful anniversary memory!

The Hill Top campsite was great! The site was close to the scenic bluff overlook and we got to watch the sun set. It wasn’t too far from the other camp sites but it still felt private because it had some trees that separated the sites. Robert and Susan were WONDERFUL hosts. They gave clear directions and greeted us with such hospitality when we arrived (and when we departed). It was nice having the shower and toilet in the community area. They also provided fresh-roasted Numu coffee in the Spartan community camper and it was fabulous! And they were so sweet to bring us muffins in the morning. We will definitely be going back and we highly recommend!
