For the less sports-minded, we've also got the petrified forest and several museums nearby, a number of local antique, gift and woodcarving shops, and plenty of wildlife and bird watching! Hunters Haven for Elk, Deer and Turkey We receive just enough winter snow to truly enjoy and appreciate the season, and often just in time for holiday fun! A terrific place to stay while cutting down your own Christmas tree! Winter activities include sledding for all ages on our nearby hills and slopes, bird and squirrel watching, and other wintry fun!
