Enjoy Alaska, that's what this getaway is all about - we look forward to your stay!
You cannot drive to the tent sites it’s park and walk but they aren’t far, 500ft at most. There is now a well on site let us know and we can help you grab you a few gallons if you need.

Other local activities include ATV rentals, glacier helicopter tours, exploring the town of Palmer, the Alaska State Fair, a trip to the Reindeer Farm, Independence Mine State Historical Park, the Musk Ox Farm, horseback riding, touring our breweries, enjoying the local golf course, sled dog tours and so much more!

Our time at Talkeetna Lake Retreat was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in peace, beauty, and warm hospitality. The setting is stunning—nestled among the trees with quiet views of the lake, it’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly unwind.
The site itself is thoughtfully curated, cozy, and sparkling clean, with little touches that show just how much care and intention Jessica puts into hosting. Speaking of Jessica—she is an absolute gem. Kind, responsive, and full of heart, she went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed. You can tell she genuinely loves sharing this place with others, and her warmth made our stay all the more special.
Every moment here felt like a gift. We left feeling nourished and deeply grateful.

We loved the cozy cabin, the wood fired cook stove, the beautiful river right next to it, and all of the very helpful kind staff, would stay there again and again if we could! Sauna was an especially nice feature after rafting six mile river. No running water or working stove other than wood fired one, be ready to go back in time a bit, but everything you need is just over the bridge at the main cafe building

Lulu’s is an absolutely beautiful location! Sitting right on the Knik River with Mountain View’s all around. The land feels magical. So relaxing and renewed my energy. Whether camping in the meadow or one of the beautiful glamping tents Lulu’s is an experience one won’t forget. Laura is an amazing host.

Great property with great views. Hard to beat being right on the river. Close to some goods hikes as well. Property is very well equipped. BBQ, pots, pans, utensils, coffee machine, hot water, shower, and clean toilets. You can also "rent" a solo stove for campfires. I say rent but it comes with a bundle of wood and starters so it's basically free. Host Lulu was quick with communication and very helpful with anything we needed. She even let us barrow a few things during our stay. Would definitely recommend staying at this awesome property.

We had a wonderful experience at this peaceful lakeside campsite. The setting is serene and scenic — ideal for a relaxing getaway. What truly stood out was the hospitality of the hosts. They were warm, communicative, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay was comfortable. From the moment we arrived, they offered assistance, answered questions, and provided thoughtful touches that made the experience feel both personal and welcoming.
We chose to set up our own tent rather than stay in one of the on-site rental tents, and the space was perfect — flat, clean, and easy to access. We also purchased firewood on-site for only $7, and the hosts went the extra mile by including a fire starter, lighter, and materials to help get the fire going quickly and easily. Those small details made a big difference.
The campsite was well-maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Their dog, Nugget, added a fun and friendly presence — well-behaved and full of personality.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-hosted, scenic retreat with outstanding service and attention to detail. We look forward to returning and getting a chance to stay in one of their own tent for that experience! ^.^>
