Learn more about this land: Setup camp on the banks of Dorsey creek in Bug Tussle. Wooded area with shade in the warm season. Flat ground for tents or plenty of trees for hammocks. I truly enjoyed my time at the site. We got in super late, around 10pm, and still were able to find everything we needed for our stay. The host has thought of everything, providing simple instructions, rapid replies to questions/concerns, and has a handy assortment of site amenities that would make any experienced camper sigh in relief, and a newbies like us say "holy cow that's so smart!".

2 nights at Bug Tussle Creek Bend

Got to take advantage of a couple unseasonably warm Feb days so I headed up to Bug Tussell. What a great camp spot. Loved the drive down the gravel road. The side of the mountain was cool and saw a nice size buck. Then driving thru hay fields was fun. The hay field was wonderful to just go find a cleared spot and look up at the sky. Even in the dead of winter, the trees & creek were beautiful. Looking forward to booking in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

My two night stay in #3 was just what I needed while in the area. Sites are all pretty private in that you have some distance. More great sites are further down the farm road and in the forest. There was some traffic from the local airport and a little noise from houses nearby, but nothing too much. Pinned to Favorites.
