My son had cancer which motivated us to find a perfect place to live well and grow our own food. We have a five-acre grove of various fruits. A greenhouse and gardens. Appx 100 chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, ducks and vicious geese.Seasonal fruits and vegetables available. Eggs most days. Other specialty products depending on my time and interest.Learn more about this land:We have an island on a canoe/Kayak Creek. Our working farm with goats, sheep, chickens, geese and more is separated by a fence. The appx 8 acre bluff over a diving rock into the Creek. Nature provides groundhogs, deer, birds of prey and many others. Bass and trout laugh and feel safe from me. If you hike you’ll love this. We rappel down the bluff with a simple rope. The island could support volleyball or similar activities if so inclined. 

I can’t tell you what lurks in this cave.

Old Burleson Camp

City Water is available. Good trails for horses, ATVs, walking, etc. Very quiet place off the main highway but still close to a small town (Red Bay, AL). Local attractions are Tiffin Motorhomes (RV plant), a national equestrian trail in Hodges, AL, decent deer hunting, bass fishing and boating at Elliot Branch, Williams Hollow state park, etc.  All of these are part of the Bear Creek reservoir system of Franklin county, AL.

Horses are allowed to stay temporarily but no fenced in areas are available.Learn more about this land:Plenty of open space for a tent, RV, camper, etc.  City Water available. Leads to a trail head. Seven miles to a small town (Red Bay, AL) that has restaurants, grocery stores, etc.  Trail hiking is allowed.  Horses are allowed temporarily but there is no fenced in area for them to graze.Local attractions are Tiffin Motorhomes (RV service center), a national Equestrian Trail, fishing at 3 different dam areas.  FEMA-approved, In-ground tornado-storm shelter.  Deer and squirrel hunting allowed within State of Alabama game laws.

Wayland Springs, prior to 1800's was Cherokee land, gold was found, and Indian relics, even today are regularity unearthed for those who pursue the hunt.  The 1800's brought general stores, banks, hotels, hospital, blacksmith, tanner, iron ore mining and a rail line put in.  Rail line is now gone but so much history remains.Preceding the Civil War Wayland Springs was known as a resort for health and pleasure.  Word of mouth had people traveling great distances to come drink from our natural springs with the reputation of possessing valuable medicinal qualities. Today, still, the locals enjoy the springs and many of us regularly drink this delicious tasting water.Wayland Springs Cemetery is on property site  & guests are welcome to visit, just ask & please remain respectful...very old stones, some from 1800's.Fast forward to present and I find myself creating a play place for families, friends and loves ones to come, enjoy our beautiful space and make everlasting memories.  When you visit & camp with us we want your experience to be all you hoped for and find yourselves wanting to return year after year.  Thank you & blessings to all.Learn more about this land:Pick your perfect spot on our 30 acres! Bucks Ranch Retreat


Bucks Ranch is located on beautiful TN acers of farm land.  We are a family friendly retreat facility and our property is an outdoor lovers dream.  It is very peaceful and serene.  There are lot of areas for nature walks, and exploring.  We have a beautiful creek that runs through the property.  We have small farm animals- sheep, goats, pot belly pigs, donkeys, and chickens.  We also have horses and offer horse riding lessons.  Some of our amenities include a playground, gaga pit, tether ball, Food trailer (seasonal).
Conveniently located between Nashville, Memphis, and Huntsville, AL in the small community of Waynesboro, TN.  Our Facility sits about 5 miles from the town square.  Waynesboro is the county seat of Wayne County which includes, Waynesboro, Collinwood and Clifton.  You will find small town charm in Wayne County as you explore our shops, restaurants, and local music history.  Our community is bustling with local farmers and farmland and bordered on the west by the TN River in Clifton and to the East by Natchez trace parkway.  Both the Natchez Trace and Tennessee River offer lots of activities, including nature and history, the trail of tears, nature hikes, boating and fishing.  In Wayne County about 5 miles from our location is the opportunity to spend the day canoeing or kayaking down the Buffalo River. Travel 40 miles northeast and enter an Amish Community for Amish shopping and Tours.  Or go straight to the East about 30 miles and visit Lawrenceburg, TN and Davy Crocket State Park. Head 40 miles west discover all the history at the battle fields of Shiloh, just outside of Savanah, TN.  And if Music is your interest 45 min south of is "Shoals".  Muscle Shoals and Florence Alabama have rich southern history, beautiful historical homes, music roots.   No matter the interest, there are ton of things to do occupy your time.
