Elevated on a 20x28 wood deck, surrounded by lush landscaping and many extras, this campsite is less than an hour from lakes, rivers, natural springs, and the famous Emerald Coast. Roam the small fruit and vegetable gardens, where, depending on the season, you can pick grapes and other berries, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, or vegetables like tomatoes, okra, peppers, or squash. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape for two or a family adventure, this glamping haven provides something for everyone. We love the outdoors, so naturally, we love to camp. We were looking for a few properties that would allow us to get away and camp in a secluded area where we can enjoy nature. We found this property, and with its proximity to Lake Eufaula and George Bagby State Park, we knew that it was a perfect location. So now we want to make this property available for your enjoyment as well! Learn more about this land: Come and enjoy the great outdoors at Lake Eufaula (Walter F. George Reservoir). With your private RV site being located next to the entrance to George Bagby State Park, you will have easy access to all the activities and amenities that the lake and park have to offer. Whether you enjoy fishing, swimming, biking, kayaking, canoeing, wildlife viewing, a nature walk, or if you just want to relax by a fire at your campsite, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors during your stay. The Park has a really nice boat landing, which is less than 1/2 mile from our lot, so it is very convenient to launch your boat. It also has a marina that is only $10 per day if you want to leave your boat at the lake while you are there, or you can just tie it up at the park if you want to head back to your campsite for a break during the day.  When you get back to the park with your catch you can make good use of the fish cleaning station as well. There are also picnic tables, a playground, a really nice swimming area, large pavilions, a restaurant, tennis courts, and a golf course at the Park as well. If you like wildlife viewing, you can take a walk or a bike ride on the paved bike path which is over 3 miles long. It is rare to walk or ride this path without seeing deer or other wildlife (refer to the pics section for more detail of the walking/bike path).  We also see deer from our campsite, more often than not, when we are there. Even though there are other residents on this drive, our lot backs up to a large wooded parcel of land and the lot next to this site is vacant, so you will have plenty of privacy during your stay.  Our RV is on another site on this property, but we normally won't be there if the site is booked so that our guests will have the whole property to themselves.  However, sometimes we have to come in on Friday evening to complete landscape maintenance on our other properties, if so, we will leave on Saturday afternoon.  This site has the following amenities: 1 acre of land with plenty of shade, a level gravel pad, and a fire pit. It also has a full hookup with electric, water, sewer, and free WIFI. We pay for garbage pickup as well, so there is a large can provided for your convenience (pickup is usually on Monday around 8 am).  This 1-acre site has more privacy than most campgrounds because there are no other campers 20' away and very few people live on this drive. The site has easy access, as it is just a short distance off of the paved entrance road to the park (refer to map in pics section for more detail on location). NOTE: Our site is not on the water, the pics of the lake are from areas within walking distance from our site.  When it comes to tent camping, we don't mind if you add a tent, but you must have an RV with a bathroom because there are no bathroom facilities on-site. Can you picture yourself here for a relaxing time at the Lake during the day, or enjoying a campfire at night? If so, go ahead and book this RV site for a getaway while the dates are available! Helpful Information:   If you need to shop, there is a Dollar General, Rubos Grocery, convenience stores (gas and bait), bulk ice machine with filtered drinking water, etc. in Fort Gaines which is only 3 miles away.   Also, there is an annual park pass available ($25 for seniors) that will allow you to visit any Georgia state park as many times as you would like throughout the year of purchase, which can be purchased at the lodge in Bagby. Other parks and places to visit-  Historic are of Fort Gaines 4 miles, East Bank Park 2.5 miles, Kolomoki Mounds State Park 17 miles, Providence Canyon State Park 37 miles, Yoholo Micco Trail 22 miles. We also have a 2 bd/2bth mobile home on a 1-acre lot across the road that we rent out as a short-term rental.  So if you need more room for family or friends, this may be an option for you. Weekend Trip to Twisted Trails Camping

RV and primitive camping spots are located in close proximity to a few lightly traveled roads, but worth mentioning if someone has concerns about trying to camp in a really remote location. I like that they have some wire fencing around perimeter of the property to help keep out most wild animals and to indicate it as privately owned property along with the signage. I really like that there is an outdoor under cover potable water deep sink available and hose with nozzle for rinsing off sand from boots or other things that you should not rinse in a sink. The port-a-potty was spotless and has an automatic light that turns on when you open the door. It is worth mentioning that there are dogs that bark on occasion from what seems to be neighboring properties that are quite some distance away, as well as early morning roosters, but was not really a concern for me due to the white noise that I had running inside my sleeping setup (fan and light music). These are all sounds to be expected when visiting a country setting and nothing that seemed to go on for an unusually long period of time. One of the owners Sherry is incredibly friendly, responsive, flexible, understanding and accommodating. When I visited it was around the holidays and I think I was the only "camper" on the property. I booked three nights, however due to family obligations I was only able to stay one night. Even though I didn't ask for any refund for my unused booked nights, Sherry was quick to do so...very kind.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise

Ronald and Pat are a wonderful couple who created a special spot, super cozy and equipped, under the amazing high pines. We spend 2 nights with our baby and had a relax quiet family time. First time in nature for our trip and loved it! The garden is slowly developing in to a jewel between the forests trees. The gas heater did the work, we had nice and warm inside the tent.

Glamping in Paradise is a gem! The site is well appointed; we were surprised to find many amenities and thoughtful touches. Our stay endured chilly nights, warm days, and a quick downpour - no worries here with the fireplace, A/C and fan, and thick tent. The lights outside were so cozy at night and we enjoyed looking at all the plants. Host was communicative and quick to respond to app messages during our stay. A unique and enjoyable camping (glamping) experience!

3 nights at Glamping In Paradise

This was the best campsite that I've ever been to. The campground is beautiful and secluded. The interior of the tent is super cozy, I slept better there than in my own bed at home! The owners put so much thought and consideration into amenities that make the stay so much nicer. The kitchenette is a super nice addition, with multiple cooking utensils for use with the charcoal grill. Not to mention the owners themselves were super kind and accommodating. I can't wait until I book another trip here in the future!

Absolutely fantastic experience! It had everything you could possibly need (sink, hammock, campfire, s'mores stick, picnic table, portapotties, fridge, AC, blankets, coffee maker, and even a nice little bowl of candy!) Weekend Trip to Pondview Acres Campground

The trip was so pleasant, it was our first trip in hipcamp. The Site was clean and gave the feel of isolation, which was very nice. This site had WIFI and a potty. It also was very secure, with a gate at the road access. The host was there to meet us at our request, they help get us started and settled in. Super nice folks, heck they even loaned us a couple of fishing poles to fish with, now that is above and beyond.

What a beautiful property! I had the whole place to myself for the week. Idyllic is certainly appropriate. And the owners were wonderful, kind folks. If your a big rig just be careful, as the sites are on the side of a hill and it's all grass. If you have 4 wheel drive you'll be fine.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise

This place is so beautiful, especially at night when all the lights came on. The photos look great, but it is 10x better in person. There were many little things that made the experience nicer, too. There are k-cup coffees, tea, and many things that helped make it memorable (like bbq tongs and mits and a refrigerator!). The air conditioning in combination with the powerful fan kept the tent comfortable in the afternoon and that, along with the plush bed covers, made sleeping awesome. The noise from the fan drowns out any nature noises, too. My one suggestion would be to have a light in the toilet building. The lantern was okay to carry along, but it would be nicer if it had a light. Will definitely camp here again. Maybe later in the Fall. Oh, a word to other campers.... bring OFF because there are some mosquitoes, just like everywhere in Florida.

We enjoyed staying at this site it’s nice and quiet but close to everything! We loved the trails and wildlife there was to offer as well as the beach to swim at. The owners were very nice and welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect!

Weekend Trip to Private RV Site Full Hookup

We were attending a family reunion in Ft Gaines, this "Private RV Site" was perfect!! This site has full hook ups and is easy locate. Following instructions of the owner and we were able to back into the site with no issues with our 36 foot fifth wheel. Robert is excellant in communicating and answering questions. This is our second time staying here.

Super cool affordable spot to stop if you’re heading towards Panama City! Has a nice covered shelter, picnic tables, wifi, and a porta john that was clean. They also have like a 4x4 track/trail thing if you have a built out Jeep/Bronco!

Weekend Trip to Pondview Acres Campground

PondviewAcres is a very beautiful spot. Quiet and serene place to listen to the birds and frogs serenade you as you take in the beauty of nature. Set on land that once was a farm that supported the surrounding community. On your way, you will drive through beautiful back country roads, passing heards of cattle, goats and other farm livestock. Rolling hills of hay and hardwood forests. Enjoy beautiful sunsets reflecting off the water sending rays dancing on your campsite. The hosts are very friendly and will help with any needs you have. Unexpected storms were approaching and the camp hosts helped me tremendously as I quickly broke camp to get out from under the trees with my first time camp out with a teardrop camper. In the dark the host set my camper on high level ground while his wife assisted and walked with me across the grassy area, making sure I arrived safe!. You can camp off grid with a tent or teardrop or come with a small camper for water and electric. Either way you can enjoy a disconnect from the hustle of everyday life on this quiet pond and enjoy connection with nature while you sit by the fire.
