We are currently *under construction*. Our forest was damaged by the draught and so there are changes underway. Please excuse our appearance as we shift toward becoming a food forest.
Solomon's Garden is a 5 acre homestead located in the Black Warrior River valley. Our site is currently under land work construction, as we are recovering from the pine beetle disaster that has ravaged Alabama. Our beautiful pine trees are no more and we are in the process of rebuilding the campground, planting a food forest and adding an additional shower/toilet facility.
We currently have a semi-private camping area in our small orchard that is flat and grassy that we recommend for tent campers on any day. We also have a larger, more remote camp area available on dry days. We expect land work to be complete in June and are eagerly awaiting the grass, wildflowers and native herbs to return following all this spring rain.

Campsites are approximately 40' x 40' allowing plenty of room for tents, overlanders, car or hammock camping. Extra amenities, depending on availability, at additional cost, such as towels, all natural bug deterrent body wash, all natural bug deterrent laundry detergent, firewood, fire pit, fire starters, bbq grill, etc. Additional options are subject to change and highly recommended to submit request ahead of arrival to help better assist you. The property is spacious and former home site on beautiful Lake Tuscaloosa. There are full hookups (50 and 30 amp), sewer and water, and Wifi. There is lakefront access via your own personal boat dock, fire pits, and various seating areas. We recently added an outdoor building with washer and dryer, bathroom/changing room, outdoor shower AND a hot tub that overlooks the lake. There is a public boat launch just down the road along with lakefront restaurants and boat rental establishments nearby. There are multiple convenient stores, grocery stores, a Dollar General and even a hardware store just down the road.
At this time, we are allowing guests to camp in our RV on-site (what we call "transient occupancy").

We absolutely love our stay at Happy hooves. It was so quiet and peaceful that we felt like we had the entire area to ourselves. Our host was very gracious provided extremely detailed directions. Make sure that we got checked in OK and even saw saw our next location. I would definitely recommend anyone stopping and staying here for a little getaway on your getaway. We loved glamping at OMSP. Sarah’s tent was great and she was a very responsive host. The second night we lost power because a tree downed a power line. Some of our group said they prefer primitive camping so they were loving the power outage. We did the hike to the Peavine Falls. We skipped the 6 mile trails before and drove straight to the parking lot at the end of Terrace and you can take the blue or white trail. When you see two benches, follow that trail to the falls. There is so much to do. We look forward to going again.

We loved the site. Our entire trip, my husband wanted to be out in the wilderness and enjoy the country view in the morning. We found it at Hilltop. Brian was very responsive and accommodating. We had to make a last minute booking at 9pm and he not only responded immediately, he made sure we were taken care of and had good info and directions. We were easily a le to pull in and get hooked up. In the morning we were able to set up chairs and drink our coffee looking out over the trees. Very peaceful and private. Exactly what we wanted. The kids played while we made breakfast. Then we had fun walking down to the farm and petting the goats. Their dog came out to greet us and was so sweet and fun. The kids played fetch with her. It was a 1-night stop in our travels and the kids are already asking to go back. Thank you Brian and family for a great stop in our vaca.
