Escape to a private campsite in rural Alabama. The property is surrounded by forest and wildlife. There are several places to hang a hammock and plenty of room for outdoor games like cornhole. The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away. The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile. Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site pretty easily. The property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly. Meeting at the front of the property is not needed, just drive to your hipcamp and set up 🙂 Please message me about any concerns! About us: My wife and I bought this property in 2020 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. We plan on building a home eventually and have cleared out our homesite. My mom and stepfather live at the front of the property and can help you if needed. My stepfather is retired and my mother works as a nurse assistant in town. We loved our stay! This is such a great campsite. We had the best neighbors and even better views! Our dogs enjoyed roaming the property and there was everything we needed and more. The host, Sam, was super accommodating and even drove out to us to guide us to camp when we got there later on our arrival! This location is perfectly center between Opelika and Columbus, so we enjoyed visiting both.

I stayed here for a few weeks and would HIGHLY recommend it! It was very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The only downside is the shower (it’s outside, and the hot water runs out quick). Samuel is a fantastic host and was very quick to respond if I ever needed anything.

Weekend Trip to hideaway cove

My husband and I had the best time celebrating the long holiday weekend at hideaway cove. We were able to bring our senior dog and were so impressed with the layout and everything that was provided. We slept comfortably even in chillier weather, and made sure to take advantage of the canoe. The lake was gorgeous and we fell in love with the area. I definitely recommend!

This place is very peaceful and quiet. There is not much light, so the stars are stunning. There is an outdoor shower and bathroom with hot water. The road to get there is all grass but smooth if you go slow. We only stayed for one night. They do allow pets off leash which is nice!

Weekend Trip to Gullatte Acres

It was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Well, the finish sucked because we had to leave. We pitched our tent next to the pond, had a shaded seating area next to our fire pit. Bathroom and shower were a short walk. Fishing was peaceful and the jon boat was super fun to go out on and fish. Super quiet. Plenty of firewood, FREE. Early check in and late check out was lovely. We didnt feel rushed at all. If you forget anything (like leaving your day 1 dinner in your refrigerator at home), there is a small grocery store as well as a dollar general within 5 minutes. All around an awesome camp site! I want to go back, SOON! thank you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us!

Weekend Trip to 20 acres for Private RV Camping

A hidden gem only minutes away from FDR! As much as I love GA State Parks in general and FDR in particular - I won't camp in FDR as long as this wonderful place is available. Exactly as described: you have the entire campsite for yourself. Peaceful and quiet! At the same time, you don't feel lost in the wild: there are other houses (nearest is maybe 2-3 hundred yards away, you can't see it, but you know it is there) and you can still drive to Warm Springs for your morning coffee. FHU worked perfectly, the site is flat and easy to back in. You may want to bring a flashlight because it is dark at night. Also bring outdoor table and chairs is you wanna sit by the campfire.

We have visited this site before and it was clean , well stocked , and the host was very responsive. Sometime you find something very special and in my opinion , this is special. Lots of time and effort has got into this site. The grasss is always cut, there is a trash can at your finger tips, a outhouse that has bug spray, stink spray , toilet paper and other items. The trail to walk your dog around is well kept and inviting to walk. The host takes pride in his site and truly wants to see folks happy at his place, they even left us a nice campfire treat.

My wife and I love the outdoors, but we love the feeling of being isolated, and for the most part Williams land feels just like that, we have no kids so I can not say if kids would like it but we do... the directions were fine and being near a family dollar and dollar general within 15 miles makes it 👌 to forget something and run up and get it. Love the lights at night, William did a very nice job on the site.

My wife and I were returning from a long trip to west Texas and stopped for a good rest at Emily's land- absolutely beautiful, peaceful spot with lots of solitude. Basically simply a large field with trees and a pond- perfect for us. Emily was delightful providing prompt and easy directions. Would love to come back again and spend some more time rather than just pass through!

Cute creekside campsite. It is near a road, so there is some road noise. Secluded, private and peaceful. Andrea left a cute welcome packet, and is right up the hill if you need anything.
