We are just a short bike ride / walk from the Park/lake, we are not on the lake, but we are the closest location to the park for camping.
Its only a couple of acres but its surrounded by woods, with only .03 miles to the Park Entrance, there are a couple security lights, lots of walking trails in the area, a boat dock one mile away, Lake Wedowee is a huge lake, which is great for fishing, Kayaking , swimming and relaxing!
