Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)

We're joined by 4 friendly dogs, 3 horses, 2 alpacas, 4 Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs.
We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months.
At present, we offer three areas for camping. The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) Topspot which is also suitable for tents camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills & 4WD) and the Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a caravan, motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask.
NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway) Topspot and The Lookout/Highview do have coverage.
Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times as we have our livestock and are surrounded by neighboring livestock, as well as the wildlife that frequently visits.
Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use.
Due to the extensive rains and grass growth fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

The Perfect Pitch

Honeycombe tent is sensitively situated in a woodland under an array of Gum trees. It has it's own flushing toilet and cold water basin housed in a shed 6 metres from the tent, plus hot water gas shower for exclusive use of tent occupants. Towels, soap and face cloths provided.
The 212 acreage includes a walk in only area of over 15.5 hectares of protected heritage scrub.
The site is located less than an hour drive South from Adelaide CBD, and 2km North East of the beautiful and friendly community based township of Mount Compass in the Southern Lofty Ranges.
There are nine Dams on the property, with guests are welcome to Kayak or fish for yabbies.

Willow Creek Farm, Clarendon

Set in a gully with a winter creek (Willow Creek) running through (dry in warmer months). Conveniently located within walking distance to the main street of Clarendon - five minutes to the Bakery and 10 minutes to the pub!
The property offers the best views of Clarendon via a short walk from the top paddock. There are a limited number of private, protected campsites near the creek, each well-maintained and level, with scattered gum trees that provide lovely shade in the afternoon.
Willow Creek Farm is for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
There may also be a chance to feed the sheep and collect eggs (seasonal).
Plenty of options in the area to keep the outdoor enthusiast busy, including: nearby wineries (some dog friendly), beaches, reservoirs (Mt Bold - hiking and views and Happy Valley - hiking, kayaking, fishing), Onkaparinga National Park and Scott Creek Conservation Park, ForestrySA land (including TreeClimb, Bone Gully MTB and park run or Saturdays at The Avenues - Kuitpo).

Cockatoo Valley Tiny Vacations

We have recently moved to 19D Cockatoo Valley so it's just the beginning.
Tranquil and relaxing with local wildlife is what we offer you.
You are welcome to wander down the hill into the big paddock and get a close up view of the big tracking system that services the property, and continue on and explore the scrub area where many native birds come and go including kookaburras.
The line of trees planted in the gully area are dedicated koala forage trees so also wander down there and have a look and see if you can spot one.
Our sheep may run up to you if they think you have something for them to eat. Cut apples or carrots into pieces the size of a 5 cent coin for them to eat.
There are horses in paddocks toward the dam where wild ducks hang out, and you are also very welcome to say hello to them, but please do not enter their paddocks OR feed them. There are raceways between paddocks to continue your walk up the raceways to see the horses if they are out of view at their gates. Beware of the electric fencing though, it hurts if you touch it!
Camp anywhere on the right hand side as you drive in via the automatic opening gate which you will be given access to once we have added your mobile number to the system after you have booked. We are currently planting more native shrubs and trees in this area to encourage even more bird life plus provide future windbreaks. From this area you will see the most spectacular sunsets and be able to have an open campfire during winter season.
Take a short drive down Goldsfield Rd to the Mining Museum and hiking trails. A few KM's towards Williamstown stop in and see the Whispering Wall, built between 1899 and 1903, for its time of construction the dam was deemed a revolutionary engineering marvel. Sounds and voices, even a whisper can be clearly heard at the other end of the dam more then 100 meters away.
Continue on through Williamstown and hire a kayak and explore the Warren Reservoir with the resident pelicans. The Warren reservoir was built on the South Para River between 1914 and 1916. Mt Crawford forest is then another short drive on where you can hike, ride and picnic and be guaranteed to see kangaroos in their natural habitat.
We are also ideally located being at the gateway to numerous wineries, take your e-bike and explore the towns in the Barossa Valley which are linked with rose lined bitumen trails, explore the shops, cafes and enjoy delectable food, stop in at the Lavender Farm, treat yourself to a scenic flights with Barossa Helicopters or challenge yourself at Barossa Bowland and fantastic themed Dinosaur mini golf just to name even more options!
As you can see, you have plenty of options to tailor your stay to suit the type of experience you are after.

Jacob’s Creek Farm, Krondorf

There are two creek lines joining to make a single stream with four dams also on the property. Potential for vineyard and with an airfield close by and a quality dirt road running along the Western boundary and a surveyed road along the northern boundary this site makes for easy walking and is within short distances to some of the best cellar doors in the Barossa. Kaiser Stuhl National Park is only a short drive away over the lookout at Mengler’s Hill and the Heyson Trail runs through the hill at the Eastern end. Permission may be needed to access other private properties adjoining, however.
Wineries close by include Jacob’s Creek Visitors Centre, Rockfords, Grant Burge Cellar Door, St Hugo’s, Charles Melton, Moorooroo Cellar Door or Jacob’s Creek Retreat. Tanunda is only a 5-10 min drive away where a great range of food outlets and a wider range of cellar doors exist. The helpful staff at the Visitor’s Centre in Murray St can assist with answering questions and most services are catered for in the town’s centre.
This site’s location lends itself to quite short or long term stays with close access to the fruits of the Barrosa. There are recharge and excellent public facilities at the Visitor Centre and links to Barossa Balloon Adventures if desired.
There are no facilities, so campers must be 100% self-contained, taking all waste and rubbish with them when they leave.

Edgehill Farm is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.
The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, occasionally. Large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours.
There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride there push bikes.
Fantastic Views of the Sunsets and Sunrises from all sites!
Beautiful bird noises and Kookaburras having a laugh as well.
PLease supply your own wood at all properties, NO CHAINSAWS PLEASE - only unpowered sites are available to bring your own generator if needed. Pets are allowed, as long as they are controlled.
It is suitable for all types of tents,
campers/caravans, motor homes. You will experience peace and quiet as the campsite is 2km away from busy roads. Only one booking at a time per site, for large or small groups,
so your privacy is guaranteed.
There's a basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock

Eckert’s Old Place
2 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents10 acres · SAWe are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy.
Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided).
The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ with side burner in the open end room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only basic solar lights.
