Description

Go big or go home! Blue Mesa Reservoir is the largest in Colorado, and Stevens Creek Campground makes the most of that designation. People make the trip out here for one thing: water activities. And boy, are there plenty to choose from. There’s your standard boating and fishing endeavors, but Blue Mesa is also a hub for wind surfing. Let the steep, deep walls of the Black Canyon surround you by day as you explore the area, then hunker down at your waterfront campsite to get some well-deserved rest (sites 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9 are closest to the shore). Just remember your sunscreen--there aren’t any shady trees in these parts.
