The views are amazing and the sky! So many stars. The camp on John’s land provides everything you need. He a conscientious host and a kind man. It’s so quiet there I could almost hear the stars singing!

Nice place & great geological place

Everything went well. Good location in pretty valley. Nice site and surprised to find had both electric and water. Great host and communication. One note is that Mosca Trailhead is about 3 miles away. We could have hiked to the great sand dunes and back reportedly 6 mile round trip and a easy trail.

Extremely kind host! We left 2 hours into our stay because we were prioritizing privacy. No shade around our camp so we didn’t have much time to enjoy on a very hot day. Overall, just not what we were expecting. The use of cold water was a nice touch for a hot day though!

Camp 2 is a fantastic little slice of heaven tucked away in a valley on the way to the mountains! Adam (John) is a great host! If you're a 14er tagger or fisherman, contact Adam about accommodations! He's been at that location for many years and knows all the secret trails and fishing holes. We climbed Mt Lindsey, Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle while we were staying there and it couldn't have been better! Adam and Kirsten watched our camper for us during our hikes. Things couldn't have been more safe. David (I won't spoil it...you need to meet David) is a treat! He was always around and would just talk and talk and talk! Aside from being windy, which is common for the valley, the weather was wonderful, the sunsets were sublime and the location was the best! Thanks Adam and Kirsten!

It’s a really beautiful spot tucked into the mountains, and the sunrises are so amazing. Yes there may be a lot of wind, but that’s given this time of year. And if your animal lover the barn cats on the camp site are really nice and will come up to you. But the Camp host is very friendly and gave me a run down of the campsite along with some the history in the area.

We were glad to get out. It was easy to find and was pretty peaceful overall. Unfortunately there was a burn ban so no fire but they had the set up for it. John was helpful and nice would love to go back when we have more time and maybe when it warms up a bit. Was still a bit chilly at night.

The orchard site was perfect and secluded. I was car camping with my dog, and we had a cozy evening by the fire, under a sky lit up with stars. Having the toilet nearby was convenient, especially with how cold it was the night we were there. We walked over to watch the horses in the morning and enjoy the views. I would stay there again!

My wife and I resently stayed with John at Corner Camp. What a beautiful location and safe and welcoming place to spend the weekend. Great access to Huerfano gulch and Mount Lindsey.

Corner camp had a good, open beautiful view and there was a fire pit and picnic table. The sink came in handy, but the toilet could use improvement (the toilet is located at the orchard camp). It was about an 1.25 hr drive to the sand dunes and the nearest gas station/ conscience store is abt a 40 minute drive (keep that in mind). Overall, the stars were amazing and it was nice being away from the sounds of the city.

This campsite was surrounded by beautiful views and no one to bother you. John, the host was super chill and friendly, even gave me some fresh green beans from his garden. There is great hiking nearby and a river for you and your dogs to play in. Definitely recommend. Thanks John!

This was a perfect stopover on our way to Great Sand Dunes National Park! The camp was very well maintained and the directions were easy to follow. We were treated to an unbelievable sunset, a gorgeous starry night, and stellar views to wake up to. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Loved this campground! Very quiet and the ground to pitch my tent on was supple. It's situated well away from lights so the stargazing was great here. David was also a pleasant surprise during our stay. There's also a field with cows next to the grounds as well. They will come to you if you approach the fence.

Amazing Hipcamp!!

I stayed at Corner Camp in a class B van. The scenery is AMAZING and the Hipcamp site was super quiet, clean and private. The host was responsive and helpful with suggestions. Easy drive off 25, super close to hiking and fishing. Absolutely recommend this property, views are stunning!
