32mi from Sheridan Campground · 1 site · Tent, RVAug 31, 2026 - Wildfire smoke has been negligible for over a week, with views out to 75 miles (subject to sudden change).
Peaceful and quiet surrounded by lots of wildflowers, wildlife, and the pleasant aroma of sagebrush. Parking area is reasonably flat. Remote subdivision on a 4500-foot ridge, 10 miles from Columbus exit 408, off of Interstate 90. Your camping spot is near the road for easy access, but the road is private and dead-ends just beyond my property, so traffic is very minimal.
I aim to treat all my guests as if you were a long-time friend. I try to be your personal concierge, so anything you need or want to know, just ask.
Unless a highway, rural roads in the area, like mine, are usually gravel. Although well-maintained, the road does get some washboarding due to heavy use.
Being on a ridge, a thunderstorm or weather front can make the site quite windy. You will be in the open, without shade or direct privacy, but the tradeoff is really great views.
