Located in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the small town of Engadine. We are a few miles from Lake Michigan with the camp nesting beside the tranquil waters of Doe Creek. There is wildlife traveling through the property and at times make this their home. This is a birding paradise for those birds migrating through and others building their nests and raising their babies here. Every spring is different those birds migrating, we see Indigo Bunting, Baltimore Oriole, Grosbeak and Bobolink. Occasionally we see just a flicker of color and wing and they are gone to another home. Actually nesting here are Hummingbirds, Cedar Waxwing and Sandhill Cranes, Every kind of Woodpecker is a daily sighting with the Pileated announcing his arrival that vibrates across the field and through the trees. We are a hobby farm, we hay in July, garden during the summer and at times have a variety of farm animals. There is recreation galore including swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, hiking, and biking to name a few very familiar activities to this area.

This is a rustic campsite without facilities or electricity. This property borders the South Charlotte River. It is in a very private location. You can drive into the camping area. We are located 12 miles south of Sault Ste Marie 1/3 mile west of M-129 on 12 Mile Road. It is a dirt road. The entrance is on the left or south side of the road. The property is good for either tent camping or a parking place for RVs. There is a new driveway that leads to the camping or parking areas. You can drive on the grass to get to the campsite. The campsite area is 50 yards from the road. You can set up anywhere in the cut grass area. There will be two white chairs and a garbage can. A small camp porta potty is available for your use.

Welcome to a rare Lake Superior sand beach property, overlooking Whitefish Bay. This partially wooded site, set back from the main road 250’, offers privacy while also being within the boundaries of the small community of Paradise. Restaurants, groceries and food trucks are a short walk away. The beach or the stair’s viewing deck offer a great spot to watch the sun rise over the lake while having your morning brew. You can pick wild blueberries in July and August in the woods between your camper and the beach. We are close to Tahquamenon (Tuh-KWA-men-en) Falls, Tahquamenon River, Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum, Crisp Point Lighthouse, and Rivermouth State campground/day park for boat launching and fishing. Potable water and 15/30 amp electric service are available. Since there are no bathroom facilities, we are accepting only self contained campers. You will also need to be able to back 250’ down a straight driveway to the site. Hello and welcome! I have a few areas on the property that You can use to suit your needs. you can tent camp or vehicle camp at some and park and walk about 100 feet or so and tent camp only. there is power and water available on the property but not at each site. I am developing this into a place for camping slowly and that's why i only have a few areas as of right now. Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms to use yet. Update: gps for maps is in correct and takes to to neighbors driveway and home . The mail box for this place is blue and has a red address Tag and a sign that says Sailors Sky. Please turn immediately at mailbox. It has caused problems with having people on neighbors property with flashlights and police being called due to incorrect gsuspicious activity.

Beautiful spot on Lake Milakokia (1,956 acres) featuring walleye, perch, pike, and suckers with the most amazing sunrises as well as sunsets. Tahquamenon Falls, Kitchitikipi, Pictured Rocks Lakeshore, and the Mackinac Bridge all within an hours drive. Very quiet property. Pets welcomed but must be on a leash and attended at all times. Bars, restaurants, and dispensaries near by. Please note: This is not a campground. There are not designated sites. There are 4 areas on the property to camp. Two are within two feet from the beach, while the remaining two are about 50’ from the beach but have full views of the lake. We have approximately 400’ of lake frontage. These sites are in my yard. Please contact me if you have any questions prior to booking. Aggressive campers will asked to leave. No refunds given. This is a safe space. No refunds for cancellations 24 hours b4 check in.

This is a half an acre wooded lot in a residential neighborhood on a 25 mph paved road. It is a back in, full hook-up camping spot that is large enough to accommodate rigs big and small. 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical hook-up available along with potable water and septic. This lot is large enough to accommodate a large camper/motor home and tow vehicle. Vehicles will need to be self contained as there is no bathroom of any kind on the site. A picnic table and a fire ring are also on-site. Monocle Lake boat launch is 2 miles away. Monocle Lake is an inland 146 acre lake that is great for fishing and water sports. Foot traffic public access to Monocle is a 4 minute walk away. This spot is also a 5 min. Walk away from public access to the beaches of Lake Superior. Walk the miles of beach to your hearts content. Iroquois Point light house is along the way. Spectical Lake overlook is merely 3.1 miles away on a county road legal for ORV's. The overlook is the gateway to the Hiawatha National Forest trails. This area has many activities for the outdoor enthusiast. Single Track hiking and mountain biking trails and northern lights if you are lucky enough to catch them on the beach of Superior. This campsite is along the U.S. Forest Service Whitefish Bay Scenic Byway. Make this spot your home away from home while touring all Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula has to offer. 50 miles to Tahquamenon Falls; 51 miles to Sheplers Mackinaw Island Ferry, St. Ignace; 23 miles to the Soo Locks; 6 miles to the Bay Mills Resort and Casino; 23 miles to the Kewadin Casino - Sault Ste. Marie, MI 33 miles to Kinsman Park - Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada; some of the best professionally built Mt. Bike trails in the Midwest. Free wifi is available at the Dancing Crane Coffee House just 3.8 miles away. Four bars of ATT cell coverage at this site. This is a campsite we set-up for our own use, because we love the area. We think others may also enjoy the same things we do.

Private home with a 2.5-acre yard featuring a pavilion, fire pit area with chairs, and electricity available at a post on-site. There is no water hookup, although water may be available by arrangement, and there is no septic hookup on-site. Firewood will be provided. Charcoal grill available at site for use, camper must provide own charcoal. There is plenty of space for yard games. I-75 is about 1/4 mile away, Meijer is less than 1/2 mile away, and the Soo Locks are less than 3 miles away. Tahquamenon Falls, two casinos, Whitefish Point, and other attractions are all within a two-hour drive. The property is quiet, with the owners living on-site. Pets are welcome with prior approval. We also have a small 4-pound dog on the property. Notes: The camping area is level, but the access slopes downhill. We also have an additional level, open parking area available, although it does not have electricity.

September 2017

We visited here on 8/6/17 Fairly busy campground with only a few unoccupied spaces. The camping sites aren't very spread out but our fellow campers were quiet and friendly. This is about a mile away from the lower falls with a hiking trail leading directly from camp. Nice to wake up and check them out before the crowds show up. A much longer day can be made by hiking to the upper falls. Shuttle and driving options are also available.

Camped for 2 nights this summer. Crowded on weekend and seemed to be on top of a lot of campers but people were respectful. There is a nice pavilion with a few grilles .5 miles from the campsite with a beautiful view of the river. Would definitely go back on our way to pictured rocks!

Beautiful place. Be sure to visit both falls. The lower falls are long and cascading. The upper falls are ones that are usually seen in pictures. They are higher with a 50 foot drop. Both worth falls are worth seeing any time of year. My opinion is they are most beautiful in the winter.
