Each site has beautiful 360 views of your surroundings. The most beautiful California nights, sunrises and sunsets, so be prepared to be amazed! This is 5 out of 7 sites at our campground. All sites are dispersed between 40 acres of land. This site is great for medium groups. 4-5 tents can fit with a max of 2 cars. Each site has its own fire pit. We ask that you bring your own wood. Porta potties are available and shared between all sites.
PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE BOOKING:
We are simply providing the space for you to camp. Each site has a fire pit and a few stumps for seating only. There is enough space between all sites so that each group will have privacy. Toilets and hand washing station are provided as well. This is a dry campsite, meaning we do not have running water.
Bring - your own tents, chairs, fire wood, drinking water, and any other camping essentials.
Location - Our campsite is only 10-15 minutes away from Downtown and Joshua Tree National Park West Entrance and 20-25 minutes away from the North Entrance. The west entrance is normally very busy so enter through the Twentynine Palms Entrance on busy days.
Check In - is strictly between 1 - 4 PM. Check in instructions are provided once you have booked. If you cannot make it within that window, please let me know. Call me within 30 minutes of arrival so I can be there to guide you in.
Check Out - is 12 PM. Please take your garbage and place it in the large dumpster out front.
Driving - Please stay on the paths going to and from your site. There is precious wildlife and natural vegetation that we want to protect. Veering off those roads could also lead to you driving through soft sand and we will not be responsible for calling a tow truck.
Pets - Our campsites are pet friendly. Please only bring your pet if he or she is friendly and does well around other animals. Other campers could bring their pets and I am a dog mom of 3 friendly dogs. My dogs will greet you upon arrival and you may see them running around the property. Benjamin is a blue Doberman, Trigger is a desert mutt and Trixie is a blue heeler.
Respect - We kindly ask that you respect our space, our animals and our time.
Horses - We are a mustang sanctuary and animal rescue. Please let us know if you would like to interact with the horses. Carrots are highly recommended and acceptable for feed if you’d like to bring some. Come to the front of the corral only, near the water tank if you’d like to say hello. Please do not approach the sides or back of gate. Equine interactive experience is available to book. I highly recommend this extra special experience.

A lovely campsite with animals
We camped here last weekend. It is close to the Joshua Tree NP. What we like the best are the quietness at night and the spaciousness. We also spent some time with the goats. Chris kindly introduced the horses to us after knowing that we have never been close to a horse before. A really fun experience. Many thanks to him.
Anyway, we had a wonderful time at the ranch. Lovely animals and lovely people! We will come back whenever there is a chance.
Camping and sharing love
Camping there was a really different experience. Me and my friends had an amazing time. There was plenty of space between the campsites, what is great considering that one of our purposes of going to the desert was to not see many people. The restrooms were very clean (yay!!) and the best part of all: we had a lovely lovely time with their 3 dogs and horses. Sooo much love! The hosts were so nice! They explained to us all about the horses that ended up in the sanctuary and I felt really grateful for people like them that dedicate their lives to help animals. Thank you so much!!
I don’t even know where to start but everything was way above my expectations!
The camp ground is a lot closer to the park than I thought and I had perfect phone service the entire time!
Each camp site is very distant from one another which makes it feel like you are in the desert by yourself. It feels very private.
The hosts are so amazing and caring! Not enough good things to talk about them! Very loving towards their animals and it made this trip extra special being able to interact with the horses!
Wouldn’t camp anywhere else!
There are so many great thing to say. This site was exactly what we needed. It is close to Joshua Tree (both the park and the town). Marissa and Chris are awesome! We took advantage of their Equine Experience - it is SO worth it. We hope to be back soon.
Our stay with Marissa was so so lovely. I was nervous as I only used hipcamp a few times but Marissa was great at communicating prior. The campsite was as we expected from the description.
The campsite was very peaceful and felt spacious. The sites are big and spread out. The horses were all so beautiful and Marissa was so accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. She recommended some great places outside of the park. We met the horses and her three dogs, all of whom are friendly.
I would definitely recommend this place in the future. Watching the sunset over the mountains and stargazing was such a treat.
