Welcome to Cascade Trails in Joshua Tree!
Each site has beautiful 360 views of your surroundings. The most beautiful California nights, sunrises and sunsets, so be prepared to be amazed! This is 4 out of 7 sites at our campground. All sites are dispersed between 40 acres of land. This site is great for medium to large groups. 4-5 tents can fit with a max of 3 cars. Each site has its own fire pit. We ask that you bring your own wood. Porta potties are available and shared between all sites.
PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE BOOKING:
We are simply providing the space for you to camp. Each site has a fire pit and a few stumps for seating only. There is enough space between all sites so that each group will have privacy. Toilets and hand washing station are provided as well. This is a dry campsite, meaning we do not have running water.
Bring - your own tents, chairs, fire wood, drinking water, and any other camping essentials.
Location - Our campsite is only 10-15 minutes away from Downtown and Joshua Tree National Park West Entrance and 20-25 minutes away from the North Entrance. The west entrance is normally very busy so enter through the Twentynine Palms Entrance on busy days.
Check In - is strictly between 1 - 4 PM. Check in instructions are provided once you have booked. If you cannot make it within that window, please let me know. Call me within 30 minutes of arrival so I can be there to guide you in.
Check Out - is 11 AM. Please take your garbage and place it in the large dumpster out front.
Driving - Please stay on the paths going to and from your site. There is precious wildlife and natural vegetation that we want to protect. Veering off those roads could lead to you driving through soft sand and we will not be responsible for calling a tow truck.
Pets - Our campsites are pet friendly. Please only bring your pet if he or she is friendly and does well around other animals. Other campers could bring their pets and I am a dog mom of 3 friendly dogs. My dogs will greet you upon arrival and you may see them running around the property. Benjamin is a blue Doberman, Trigger is a desert mutt and Trixie is a blue heeler.
Respect - We kindly ask that you respect our space, our animals and our time.
Horses - We are a mustang sanctuary and animal rescue. Please let us know if you would like to interact with the horses. Carrots are highly recommended and acceptable for feed if you’d like to bring some. Come to the front of the corral only, near the water tank if you’d like to say hello. Please do not approach the sides or back of gate. Equine interactive experience is available to book. I highly recommend this extra special experience.

Camping with horses
Really cool and unique place to stay. Camp spots have a fire pit and plenty of space. Communal area has porta potties.
The owners train and breed horses, which are there by the communal area and love to be fed celery and carrots! It is a beautiful spot. There is also a pen of adorable tame goats and a gaggle of friendly ranch dogs running around. (My 7 year old played with them for hours) The owners are beautiful kind people. This is truly a special place!
Camping for a fantastic cause!
Our stay here made it so hard to leave! Marissa was there to great us right away, we brought our own carrots to feed the horses (smaller the carrots the better), and while doing so she explained all the wonderful work they do for the rescued horses. The location is not far off from Joshua tree which is why we found this gem! Marissa was so helpful in suggesting other things to do around there when you’re not in the park or have some down time, we ended up going to an old western theme movie set, but make sure you check the days they’re open! The two days we stayed we saw a desert fox not even 30 feet from our campsite, which was so cool! And a tortoise walking through about the same distance. This place was seriously something out of a road runner looney toons episode 10/10 recommend. The sunsets and sunrises were unbelievable and the overall scenery. One of my favorite parts is they’re still growing their camp sites with stargazing domes, and they have accommodations for people like my grandparents that might need a tent on sight with bathrooms and showers. Thank you so much again, we will be back soon!
Camped for 2 nights with our teardrop camper and dog. It was a stress free and truly enjoyable stay and experience. We enjoyed learning more about the horses and thoroughly enjoyed talking to the hosts. We visited JTNP, Pioneertown and a brewery in town. Perfect Hipcamp!!!
The campsite was very laid back. Really enjoyed their sweet dogs and getting to hang out with the horses and goats. They have lights along the paths, which is great for guidance to the restroom. Marissa is a wonderful host, and was great to chat with.
Nice overnight camping spot
Everything was as advertised, no surprises. A picnic table or something similar at the site would be nice, but this was not advertised so I can’t fault the listing for that.
