Flyway Forest: RV/Camper Site South

A fantastic stay! The scenery is beautiful & it's very private. Patti & Bernie are gracious hosts, friendly & accommodating, as are their dogs, goats & chickens. The dogs were welcoming & friendly, the chickens provided fresh farm eggs daily & the goats provided mischief & hilarity. Their cafe a few minutes walk away has great coffee, baked goods, breakfast, & lunch. We brought our own trailer, but the vintage trailers they provide are super cute & private. The only downside was the occasional train whistle & big truck driving by at night (but after 1 night it just became expected background noise), & definitely bring mosquito repellant for the evening (but hey - that's due to being in a valley with large bodies of water around and can't be helped). A fantastic stay in a central location - I couldn't have asked for more!!

Be ready for a cool experience. Bernie and Patty are gracious with sharing their land and knowledge. They are in the process of renovating and transforming this property that was previously abandoned and, while it is a work in progress at this point, I am sure it will be amazing. Site 4 is right beside their chicken and goat pens, which is delightful, and is in a treed area with a shared fire pit, we had plenty of privacy though. It is also near an outbuilding that used to be a post office with electricity and a fridge. Very interesting place very interesting people. Beautiful area with a lot to explore.
