We had a great relaxing time at Grant’s property. It was absolutely beautiful! We had quite a few visits from the super friendly horses and also saw many deer and turkeys. Highly recommended and we will be back soon!!

A gorgeous spot that feels secluded in the mountains, but also not too far of a drive from town for supplies. We had a wonderful weekend staying here. Highly recommend it!

Definitely a little slice of heaven… the horses and birds were playing in the early morning and the night was quiet and serene. Can’t wait to come back.

On paper, it’s a field. Full of dry, prickly grasses in summer. In reality, that field is your own personal paradise. Set beneath hills, there’s nothing but you and the stars and about a half dozen of the sweetest, friendliest horses you might ever meet. We arrived, trepidatious, in a 32ft class c motorhome, but all was easy. The situation was flat-ish, the picnic table beneath oaks was welcome and shady. No one and nothing to disturb. The horses came for apples at breakfast. The children loved the woodpeckers and the deer. We all loved the sense of remoteness. A gem.

What a beautiful and serene site to camp at! The horses were the sweetest and friendliest horses I’ve ever been around. We really enjoyed our stay at Hobble Creek.

What an outstanding host!! We also planned to make reservations to do horseback rides for several young girls and Grant went above and beyond to make this an amazing first horse ride experience for the girls!! Additionally, the property was absolutely beautiful and just what we were looking for to make a quick camping/horse ride getaway for the kids (and their parents too!) Highly recommend!! Grant was such a great and accomodating host!

Cute stay at this trailer! My mom and I found it cozy and roomie for the 2 of us. We appreciated the drinking water and picnic table. The cows and horses were lovely to see on the property. I heard elk at night too, an amazing sound!

Breathtaking views! Grant is an extremely kind and enjoyable host. We were greeted by horses in the morning, watched falcons, hawks, quail and turkeys during the day and spied deer and elk at sunset. We highly recommend the horseback ride with Grant as your knowledgeable leader and storyteller. The hardest part was finding the gate so we’ve included a picture. The dirt drive up to the bench is steep but we made it just fine towing a 27 foot trailer.

We had a wonderful time camping here. It is peaceful and the views are gorgeous. The camper was quite comfy for my husband and I. We loved watching the horses and turkeys walk around the campsite. It was also close to the city and many hikes. Overall, I recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

Hobble Creek Ranch Camp Site
Awesome spot, grants campsite really shows the beauty of Hipcamp. I don’t think there is any other way to get to experience horses like this.
I stayed for a night on a road trip and it was a perfect campsite. The directions and pin provided to get there made it a no brainer and grant was quick and responsive. I had a dog with me and the horses seemed fine with the dog, and more or less kept their distance.

We had a great time! Beautiful views of the mountains. Really close to a couple of different parks with rivers for the kids to play in. The horses were curious and friendly. This is a great option if you’re looking to get away from the crowds. Be sure to watch the video Grant sends showing you how to get there. Extremely helpful. Loved having the gas fire place too.

Hobble Creek Ranch Camp Site
We loved camping at this beautiful ranch! It’s off the beaten path with spectacular view. The best part was the friendly horses that came to greet us during our stay! Grant was a wonderful host, welcoming us and making sure we had what we needed. He also did a great job making sure we’d be able to find it since it does t have cell service…I appreciated all the direction help prior to our visit. My son loves getting to interact with the horses and we got to spoil them (with the hosts permission) and share some of our carrots and apples with them!

Wow a beautiful serene quiet spot. The We were welcomed by horses came and visited us several times during are stay. The sunrise was spectacular over the mountains, what a treat to stay at Grant’s property!

Really wished we could have had more time here! Camping in this canyon was beyond, with stunning panoramic views. Grant was very welcoming and rode up on his horse to greet us upon arrival.
So private (we might have been the only campers there, but if we weren't, we didn't know), which is often what I'm looking for. The camper is a nice change of pace from a tent, especially when it rained throughout the night! It is clean and cute and cozy, we did not use the shower or any propane but appreciated the amenities!
Only suggestion is to use cupboard space and stock camper with supplies for additional camping luxury/accommodations (instant coffee, napkins, fire starters, utensils, etc.)

This was an amazing experience! I can not recommend this land and the host enough. We did an hour of riding horses and would next time definitely opt for the 2 hour option. The horses were well trained and Grant was very knowledgeable and put my nervous friend at ease.
I will say that if you plan on staying at any of the tent sites to prepare well. The hike itself is well worth it and manageable if you prepare well but I was shocked at how steep some of the parts were. So after visiting though I would probably opt for the prepared tent site that he has available.
Overall, amazing property with pretty views and a cozy comfortable feel. I will definitely be recommending to all of my friends and hope to return for some more horseback riding.

What an experience! This is such a great tent tucked in the mountains. We were greeted on the property by some very friendly horses and then hiked about a mile up to the tent guided by signs. Then tent is very comfortable and there is even a gas burner that we used to heat our breakfast up on. Would definitely recommend the stay here!

Beautiful tent sites situated in a valley. The skyline was beautiful. We were the only campers and it was very private & remote. Easy to find, just download instructions before since there isn't service within 15 minutes. The horses are very friendly, and do roam free, so finding a couple outside your tent anytime of day is normal. Warning though, if you have a poop eater with you, like our Beagle, be careful there are droppings every 50' or so. We appreciated having some extra water on-site left for us, we brought plenty of ice to cool it down. Weather was perfect too for early July, never dropped below 65⁰. Would definitely return.

This was an absolute dream! The drive in intself is so beautiful. We loved hiking up to the campsite (although its a pretty steep hike if you aren't a hiker) The campsite was like the prize at the end of the hike. So cozy and warm and listening to the elk and the wildlife all night long was amazing. I highly recommend going in early fall so you can enjoy the beautiful perfect weather and the changing leaves.

We really enjoyed our visit to this campsite. The host graciously met us, with lots of helpful advice and resources. The views were unbeatable, and the privacy and open space were very refreshing. The horses are inquisitive at night, which we found to be fun and not disruptive. If you visit, remember that you're in the mountains where it rains frequently, and plan your gear accordingly. Worked well for us. 😊

This experience was so amazing! Grant and his wife Judy were great hosts and very accommodating! The tent was cozy and well decorated - they thought of everything! You can tell they enjoy sharing their space with others. We had a very relaxing time and look forward to going back again!!
