A Swell Oasis in the desert of the San Rafael Swell: Swell Retreat. A pine tree farm was active prior to us purchasing the land, so lots of beautiful trees. A couple ponds stocked with large mouth bass. Zipline, WIBIT, water slide, etc. A field of hay, and continued improvements to make it into a Swell Retreat!!! We are a great spot to stay and have onsite a zip line into Lake Elevate, water slide into the pond, adventure island, zipline, kayaking, paddle boarding, catch and release fishing, and close to all fun in the San Rafael Swell. 20 min or so from three reservoirs for additional fishing, swimming and motor boating, 30 minutes from the Little Grand Canyon for breathtaking views, hiking and mountain biking, petroglyphs and the San Rafael Swell river to float on, 60 minutes from Goblin Valley, within 60 minutes to multiple slot canyons: Little Wild Horse Canyon, Muddy Creek, The Chute (similar to Zion National Park), Baptist Draw, to name a few. Mountain fun for rock climbing just up the road in Joe's Valley, hiking, biking, fishing, etc. We would love to have you stay on our little farm while you enjoy the fun of the San Rafael Swell adventures.

Whispering Pines

Stay at the Swell Retreat in the Whispering Pines. We have 10 acres of pine trees that are beautiful! Camp among them. This camp site can hold several tents, pending size. There have been multiple camp trailers stay at this site as well, but it is a steep hill to get to the site. If you have a bigger group than 20, please message us, we are happy to adjust the parameters to reserve your party. Kids 4 and under are free. Included in pricing are the South Side amenities: 1 acre pond (Lacy’s Lake), paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, peddle boat that seats five, floating island, lots of life jackets available that are age 2 years old to adult, swim, pine tree zip line for the kids and enjoy at your own risk (open access to all other camp sites or if you want the whole retreat to be private for your group, reserve the whole place for a family reunion, see the group overnight retreats for North Side or South Side). Hike around the 40 acres. Picnic under the trees. Visit the horses and cows.  Swell Retreat is 208 acres with a 10 acre retired Christmas Tree Farm, 20 acres of hay, 30 acres for cow and horse grazing, multiple ponds stocked with wide mouth bass (catch and release). We are excited to open our land to you for camping, relaxing, recreating, and rejuvenating!!  Our ultimate goal is to open a youth and family retreat that focuses on skills, having fun, and strengthening individuals and families. All proceeds go to improving the land and creating the youth and family retreat.   Onsite there are many places to camp and activities included. Offsite: Direct access to San Rafael Swell for mountain biking, OHVing, hiking, kayaking on San Rafael and the Muddy, canyoneering, etc. Joe’s Valley is minutes away and popular for bouldering. Three reservoirs within 20 minutes for boating, swimming and fishing (Milsite, Joe’s Valley, Huntington State Park). Dancing Pines: South side

This camp site can accommodate up to 30 guests, 5 tents and 4 camp trailers, pending size. It includes a griddle with propane, a camp chef burner, 4 x camp tables (2 square and 2 rectangle), and two hammocks. Water spigot available, bring your own water containers to fill up. Fire pit. Includes one bundle of wood. Additional wood purchased for $5 per bundle. ***Kids 4 and under are free. Please account for guests 5 and older at check out. If you would like to add a MIG Trailer to your stay add the number of nights at "add extra options" using the scroll bar. *$15 processing fee for guests added after initial booking. We encourage accurate guests at booking so we can be sure the lake doesn't get over crowded. South Side Swell Retreat, a little piece of heaven with a 10 acre retired Christmas Tree Farm, pond stocked with large mouth bass (catch and release). North side Swell Retreat is booked separately. Camp in a grove of Cottonwood trees either on the grass in a tent or back in your trailer (up to 30') or pull around. This site can comfortably fit 7-10 trailers (pending their sizes) and various tents. This site comes with many features: two hammocks setup in the trees, a spring mattress napping bed, a disc swing, a baby swing, a hammock chair swing, two six foot picnic tables, one 36" griddle with propane, a two burner Camp Chef with propane, a sink with potable water, two prep tables, outdoor lighting, and a grub shed that includes pots and pans, cooking utensils, eating utensils, mixing bowls, plates, bowls, and cups. Children 4 and under are free. Our little piece of heaven is 208 acres with a 10 acre retired Christmas Tree Farm, 20 acres of hay, 30 acres for cow and horse grazing, multiple ponds stocked with large mouth bass (catch and release). The site is large enough you can pull in and circle around to exit when your adventure is over. You will have North Side access (all included in the cost) to Little Lake Elevate with the zip line, 100' floating adventure island, kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, peddle boat, water slide, fishing, trampoline, volleyball net, baseball field area. Off site you are right across the street from a San Rafael Swell access road, 20 min to 3 reservoirs for motor boating, The Little Grand Canyon, Buck Horn Wash, etc.  **Booking Details: The overnight stay only accounts for one person and then you will have to add the number of people that plan on staying at the site. Each site has a different maximum occupancy. Remember to add the quantity of people who will stay at the site with you when you are booking the site.  **Book this camp site for a group of 20. Stay overnight with your group of 100 or less and have the Swell Retreat North Side to yourselves! Enjoy the day at Little Lake Elevate: 100' long Floating adventure island (max capacity 20), zip line,  water slide, kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boat, canoe, swimming and fishing (catch and release).  Please message prior to booking to ensure we have a day that is not reserved for your private booking. We will need to know number of tents and trailers that will be staying onsite.  Bring your four wheelers, side by sides, and bicycles!!! We have 167 acres and plenty of it is flat enough for camping to accommodate RVs, camp trailers, tents or sleeping under the stars. The night sky is incredible here. We have five campsites setup with fire pits that can accommodate tents easily (each are individually listed on HipCamp if you would like more details): Whispering Pines (can't accommodate trailers at this time), Cottonwood Grove (can accommodate 7-10 trailers, pending size), Camp Ambition (one trailer/RV 35'), Pine View (has a fairly steep hill but can accommodate a small trailer/RV) and would likely be plenty to accommodate your group, pending how many RVs and/or camp trailers you have with your group. If you feel best about specifics then please message us with number of trailers/RVs and specific sizes of each. Then we can be sure to get you a more exact layout. But, if your comfortable with lots of open space and seeing where you want to camp when you get here we are good with that too! You will have the Swell Retreat North Side of 167 acres reserved. Team member check out required with staff member to ensure no additional clean up fees will be incurred.

South Side Private Retreat

Stay overnight with your group and have the entire south retreat privately. Enjoy the day at Lacy's Lake: Wibit (max capacity 15), water slide, kayaks, paddle boards, unlimited swimming. **We will need to know number of tents and trailers that will be staying onsite. We have 40 acres and plenty of it is flat enough for camping to accommodate RVs, camp trailers, tents or sleeping under the stars. The night sky is incredible here. We have four glamping sites & a glamping cabin setup with fire pits that can accommodate tents/trailers easily. If you feel best about specifics then please message us with number of trailers/RVs and specific sizes of each. Then we can be sure to get you a more exact layout. But, if you're comfortable with lots of open space and seeing where you want to camp when you get here we are good with that too! You will have 40 acres reserved. Team member check out required with staff member to ensure no additional clean up fees will be incurred. Great stay. Owners were super attentive and helpful. They have a little shop to buy most necessities you may have forgotten. Camp sites have grills, fire pits tables and potable water. Great all around!

We had a great time! Lacy was very responsive and helpful at every step of the way. There were plenty of picnic tables, camp stoves, strong lights and a canopy on-site which made a group camping trip a delightful breeze. We enjoyed kayaking and playing in the pond and wish we had booked 2 nights instead of 1! We will definitely book again.

This is our second visit to the Swell Retreat and we can’t wait to go back for our next visit! There are so many amenities and the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating. The sites are all fully stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. The water activities are AMAZING! Our kids absolutely love it, our dogs love it, and so do we.

The most amazing getaway! Perfect for families or couples. The hosts Ben & Lacy were the MOST AMAZING hosts. We rode the horses and had so many laughs. My daughter would say this is the BEST camping trip she has been on. My son, enjoyed all the rocks and dirt. The amenities are beyond amazing. We will be back!

This is my favorite campsite we've ever stayed at, it's great for kids and dogs! The campsites are very nice (comes with water, grills, covered tables) and we rented one of their trailers to stay in which was also great. The water activities onsite are amazing - the water is pretty warm so swimming is enjoyable, (I have thyroid issues AND I'm pregnant so I'm extremely sensitive to the cold and even I had no problem in the water) and there are a bunch of kayaks and stuff that were super fun too. The hosts are very nice and helpful. We were super delayed in getting here so we arrived close to 11pm and they were still here to greet us and show us to our campsite. They even helped us transfer our stuff to the campsite. Would definitely recommend this place!!

This place was amazing! The kids had so much fun with numerous things for them to do. Two floating island/ obstacle courses. 4 ponds with excellent Bass fishing. The kids probably caught 50 bass all together. Mostly smaller but one 2.2 pounder! Loads of boats, kayaks, canoes and a paddle boat. The cottonwood grove was magical. It was nice and cool with plenty of shade. An outdoor kitchen with blackstone grills and plenty of tables and some hammocks too! The owners are very nice and you can tell how much they care for the property. They are continually working to improve and are always around fixing up, organizing and maintaining everything. Highly recommended and will be back to stay again. Thanks Lacy!

King Roost Glamping Tent: South
Our family loved staying at Swell Retreat! The camp hosts, Lacy and Ben, have gone above and beyond, making Swell Retreat a place we will want to visit year after year. They did a great job at making us feel welcome and giving us a run down of everything at our site and the pond. The favorite part of our stay, by far, was our time spent at their large pond. The kids spent a majority of their time on the obstacle course/climbing structure, going down the water slide, and taking out the boats and paddle boards provided. Life jackets for adults and children are provided. It was magical. We stayed in 2 of the glamping tents on the south part of the property. There are 2 shared picnicing areas by the tents with blackstone grills where we met together for meals. The tents were very comfortable. We were able to move around, have space for all our belongings, and the beds and couch beds were comfortable. The tents and picnicing areas by the tents have solar powered lighting, which makes things feel so magical. There are 2 porta potties close to this area as well. Plus many on other parts of the property. They have an outdoor shower with a propane powered heater. It was nice to have some clean, warm water to rinse off if staying for a few days or more. We would highly reccomend this camping area for groups large and small.

Prior to making a reservation, I send Lacy a few messages with some questions, and I was impressed with the prompt replies from her. Lacy answered all my questions and offered some additional information. When my husband and I arrived, we were greeted by her husband Ben. Ben was so helpful giving us a brief orientation to the zip line and slide. We then followed him to our glamping tent where we were introduced to his wife Lacy. They are the friendliest couple who just make you feel so welcome. We spend a lot of free time exploring and camping and this was the first time we had the owners /camp hosts greet us. Although we were only there for one night, as most woman completely overpacked which I didn't need to. They even supplied firewood. The glamping tent had the most comfortable bed, and we were impressed with the quality of linens and the way it was furnished. They even supplied comfortable lounge chairs. My husband and i enjoyed some much-needed quality time together laughing and having fun on the water park bounce. The porta potties were clean. We look forward to coming back. Ben and Lacy thank you so much .

We absolutely loved our stay at Swell Retreat! We were there from Friday-Monday and had planned to do a bunch of the surrounding sites in the area but the retreat had so many fun activities for the family that we didn't even have time to venture away. Our kids loved the ponds, fishing, floating islands, the zipline, tetherball, and kayaking. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful as well. They go out of their way to make sure your comfortable and are enjoying your stay.

We had such a great time at Swell Resort! Will definitely be coming back. Loved the water activities... Everyone in our group had a blast out on the water. Bathroom situation was nice & clean, short walk from our site. My family kept telling me how glad they were I found this place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great camping site and lovely hosts! We had a lot of fun. We got visited by a bobcat in the night and the longhorn cows, which were friendly. We will be back next year with more friends and family.

Ben and Lacy were extremely helpful in hosting our group of 30. With so many people, minor issues are a guarantee, and these two were on top of everything, and left no stone unturned. The numerous amenities were a huge advantage over going anywhere else. From grills, hammocks, tables, kayaks, obstacle course, water slides, zip line, pavilion, trampoline, EVERYTHING you’d need to have a successful camp. Our big group has struggled for years to find a compatible place to enjoy our yearly reunion, and this was it. We are grateful for their hospitality and opening their land to us.

We had such a great time at the swell retreat! Ben and Laci are amazing and gracious hosts! You won’t go wrong with any camp spot as they all have their own little uniqueness! We had the pond view spot, with a group of 2 tents (1 is 10x18, so it’s big) and a toy hauler, and their was plenty of room for all of us! Keep in mind, this is in the desert! Yes there is plenty of shade at each site and an awesome giant pond to escape the heat, but it’s still hot during the summer! Don’t let that deter you though. We went over 4th of July, but I’d go back at anytime, it wasn’t unbearable in the slightest!

What a great stay!! Loved the shady, hammock, griddles, zip line, all the lake toys and boats, port-a-potty’s were clean. So fun to be open to explore all their property. We played whiffle ball every night in the open space. So beautiful! Loved the twinkle lights and such friendly hosts. We’ll be coming back. Kids didn’t want to leave.

Swell Retreat is such a fun place to experience. Extremely gracious hosts and fantastic area. A family orientated good time for all. Great water activities from paddle boards and kayaks to zip line and water slide and more. There's fishing at three different ponds. The camp sites are very nice with shaded picnic tables, fire ring and far enough away from each other you have plenty of privacy. I wish there was a place like this to take my own kids when they were younger. I would highly recommend this camping adventure for you and your family. Lacey and company has done a top notch job on this land for your camping entertain. Way to go Swell Retreat 😀

We loved our quick getaway to Lacy’s Swell Retreat! It was the perfect spot for our two boys to find lots of adventures to keep them busy. While on property, we enjoyed swimming in the pond, riding on the zip line, playing on the floating obstacle course, playing volleyball and just relaxing. All of the cooking equipment (flap top griddles, pots, pans, etc) was provided so it made things very easy for us. We have a trailer and there were plenty of spots for us to park it on-site. We used this camping spot as base camp for us to explore Goblin Valley and other sites in the area. Lacy and her husband Ben were wonderful hosts! We will definitely be coming back!

i really enjoyed my stay here! the place was fairly easy to find and the owners were helpful at guiding us to where we need to go and showing us how everything works. it’s a great place for large groups and people with kids, as theres a pond with plenty of kayaks, paddleboards, and a zipline and waterslide. we were also provided with potable water and firewood for our stay. it is definitely a great place for a nice relaxing getaway!

The location was so spacious, pretty and there were so many activities for us! The owners checked in periodically to pick up trash, make sure the lights were powered, and to see if we needed anything. They kept in contact in case of any needs as well. We also had all of the supplies needed and extras for cooking in their handy dandy shed. It was definitely worth the drive and we hope to stay again soon!
