Next Level Camping Experience
We had an incredible weekend at Swell Retreat with a 2 year old and 7 year old! We camped on the North side in Camp Ambition. Our site was shady with plenty of trees, a nice installed shade tent, and tucked into a little hill so we felt very private. No matter where you camp, each site feels very private and distanced from others. The Blackstone flat top and stove top come with the propane and a grill brush. There is a hammock and a hammock chair that the kids were obsessed with. It also came with FOUR camp tables with benches so you really don’t even need to bring chairs! Porta potties were super clean. There is a cute little playground nearby with a trampoline, ladder ball, tether ball, soccer nets, horseshoes, yard bowling, baby swing, climbing dome, and probably more. The main event is the incredible pond with tons of free kayaks, a canoe, paddle boards, pedal boat, huge inflatable floater with slides, a ZIP LINE, and a free standing water slide. The water was comfortable to swim in and the floatie was secure and maintained. At sunset it turns into a bird sanctuary. It was amazing to watch the hundreds of birds swooping and singing. We saw tons of lizards, butterflies and hummingbirds. We didn’t have enough time to experience it all! The kids grabbed ice cream from the general store and we were easily able to run into the town grocery store a few minutes away. Joe’s Valley is nearby, gorgeous and incredible for climbing, plus the reservoir is a great little lake stop. The
