Large secluded cove near our barn and garden. Watch the sun come up from the orchard. There is 1 electrical plug so not all 3 spaces have electric but you can run a cord. There is also a single water spigot to share as well. There are 2 houses somewhat visible through the trees but no direct line of sight and otherwise private. We have 2 dogs, Whiskey and Barb, Whiskey will usually keep her space but bark, if you ignore her she will be friendly, acts mean but never bites. Barbara is a Jack Russell. She will jump in the truck if you don't tell her not to and will happily run off with snacks. We ask you please don't feed them as it will teach them to come for food and some people don't appreciate the dogs..  This is a farm so you may see and smell animals. Depending on when you book you may even be somewhat near animals. Be aware of this and be ready to keep dogs contained. We typically run pigs in the woods around the cove but we move them regularly and keep the smell to a minimum by doing so.

This listing is intended for overnighters more so than someone wanting to spend the weekend with a bunch of people. Large secluded cove near our barn and garden. Watch the sun come up from the garden. There is 1 electrical plug for 240v so you will need an rv adapter if you only want 120v . There is also a single water spigot as well. There are 2 houses somewhat visible through the trees but no direct line of sight except to the barn and otherwise mostly private. My dogs do run loose on property, we just ask that you please do not feed them or leave food/trash laying around for them to find and if you make friends they may not leave your camp.  I am running pigs through the woods around this area this summer, so you may smell them slightly but should never be bad. I will be wandering around tending to chores in the early mornings/evenings as well as most days on the weekend. 2nd site. At the back of the cove. No electricity. This listing is intended for overnighters more so than someone wanting to spend the weekend with a bunch of people. Large secluded cove near our barn and garden. Loved the fact it was so far off the road, but site was difficult to back out of, had there been a hard rain seems I may gotten stuck due to no stone drive close to the power hook up. There was a dog barking most of the night.

This hipcamp was great!!! Beautiful property it was exactly as described. We met the owners they were super friendly! Baby pigs were born while we were there adding an even better experience. Also in a perfect spot to visit the covered bridge festival! Definitely recommend

Straight gravel drive not curved

I did ask the host to amend the directions, their gravel drive is dead straight back with no curves. Also, there is a sign for a logging company at the entrance, but no address visible. Though the directions are correct in google maps, my rig odometer doesn't read out tenths of miles, and there are a few long gravel drives with red barns nearby so it was confusing for me. I ended up angering a neighbor and had to apologize profusely, which could be avoided if they update their directions. Also, the host never said hello at all. Not sure which house they lived in. Nice spot, though.

very nice spot to camp and was perfect for us visiting the covered bridge festival. directions were clear to find the spot, and we were greeted by the sweetest dog. nice flat area with a big fire pit

We had such a great stay at Justin's place! Loved watching the chickens and pig just across the yard! Our stay was peaceful and relaxing! We would definitely stay again if we are down in this area!

Peaceful, quiet spot. Easy to find. Just passing through and stayed one night. Cotton came to visit in the early morning hours. She and my dog played for a little bit and off she went. Sweet dog. Great stay!

What a beautiful site, it was quiet and very shaded. The town was just a few miles away with convenience of anything was needed. I enjoyed my stay. Justin and his family were very hospitable and even shared some yummy vegetables which I have thoroughly enjoyed during my journey. I would definitely visit again!

I had a great time tent camping at Justin’s property. The space was so unique, being surrounded by the farm animals was such a nice touch. The property itself it absolutely beautiful and it was perfect for a weekend escape!

Overall we had a great experience. We had the campsite to ourselves and I set up a hammock to sleep in. My family slept in our vehicle. It was fun to be near the animals but one of the pigs was overly friendly and there was a dog that barked part of the night. So not as peaceful as it might seem but if you’re looking for a low cost camping alternative this fits the bill. We felt very safe.

If you are looking for a simple camp spot, this place is great! As a solo traveler I felt very safe the whole time. It is on a farm so expect some farm noises but I thought it really added to the unique stay. The sunrise in the morning was beautiful and Justin was great at communicating. Would recommend for those looking for a simple place to pitch a tent or hang a hammock!

What a privilege to get to stay on land that has been Justin‘s family for over 100 years. We enjoyed meeting Justin‘s cousin and his wife and kids. My daughter loved the hogs and chickens (just watch out for the electric fence! I forgot that my dog has always lived in the city and didn’t know to keep his tail low!) We all had to leave early in the morning because of a major morning storm, but everyone stayed dry!

Nice quiet, secluded camp, in the middle of a cornfield. The hogs and the animals were very cute. And Barbara, the Jack Russel Terrier, was very sweet, and greeted us warmly. The directions and signs were spot on. Thanks for everything.

This was a really fun trip. Our family has been camping many times but this was a our first trip away from the big campsites. It made the experience more about the family and friends and allowed us to have fun and enjoy time just chilling away from the world! The farm animals were fun to watch as well. Our girls really enjoyed the trip and didn't want to leave. Excellent experience!

Highly recommend camping here. The farm is beautiful, the animals are fun, and the host is very friendly. I'd love to come back when the garden is ready to harvest because I know it will be impressive. The dogs that live here can bark, but are very friendly too.

Great place to pitch a tent for the night. I loved all the animals - piglets, sheep including a baby, chickens/rooster. Close to Parke County covered bridges and Turkey Run/Shades/Raccoon Lake. Justin and his son, Henry greeted me and were very friendly.

The land was fine. I was only there for one night and didn’t see much of the site due to arriving and leaving in the dark, but what I did see looked okay. Justin’s dogs were very curious, but he called them in after I called him. Would recommend for anyone willing to rough it in place of a hotel and save a little money.

Unfortunately we had to leave Justin’s site as soon as we arrived due to his dogs causing conflict with our pups! His two dogs greet you as you pull in and don’t seem to want to leave! We tried to let our dogs out to pee after a 2 hour drive & his bigger white dog was very persistent in nipping and herding our dogs to the point of conflict between them and us having to pull out immediately so we weren’t stuck in our car all night. We tried to reach out to Justin twice to see if there was a way of separating them for the evening but we have still not hear a thing back! This is a night spot to stay for the evening if you don’t have dogs & don’t mind dogs barking endlessly! I would come back if there was better communication from the hosts!

2nd year in a row that my wife, myself, and our pups have stopped to pitch a tent at this great location on our way from Iowa to Virginia. Very private. Great flat ground beneath trees to pitch a tent and enjoy dinner around the fire. We hope next year makes it three in a row! Very remote, but that is just how we like it 👌

I was on a cross country trip in my car moving my whole life from Anchorage, AK to Virginia and was running out of options to pitch my tent for the night. Justins place was awesome, I didn't use the rock fire ring or picnic table but the solitude was pleasant back there. I got a good night's sleep which was all I could've asked for!

We had a great stay here! Their pup Cotton was super sweet and quickly became friends with our dog Dave! The tiny pup is sneaky and will rummage through anything with food inside so please be sure to keep it locked up! Justin was great and was having a tour with some other guests when we met him. My partner and I adore animals so having the farm around the campsite was awesome! 10/10 experience and we will certainly be back!
