This peaceful retreat is perfect for those looking to reconnect with nature, enjoy some quiet time, and experience the beauty of Western Australiaā€™s fauna, ecosystems and biodiversity. Beyond the property, Gidgegannup has much to offer. Just a short drive away, youā€™ll find the iconic Noble Falls stunning waterfall with scenic picnic areas and walking trails. The nearby Lake Leschenaultia provides more opportunities for hiking, swimming, paddle boarding and mountain bike riding. For wine lovers, the Swan Valley wine region is within easy reach, home to some of Western Australiaā€™s finest wineries, local produce, and artisanal food experiences. This open yet shaded site offers a mix of grassy clearings and scattered native trees, with uninterrupted views across open pastures to the dense bushland over 500 metres away. Wake up to the gentle sounds of nature and watch as kangaroos graze nearby during the early mornings and evenings. The site sits close to a seasonal dam that provides water to both livestock and native fauna, making it a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife lovers alike. Our sheep roam freely through the paddocks, often making their way through Hoppers Crossing, while cows graze peacefully in nearby fields. We stayed at Hoppers crossing. Great spacious campsite with some amazing trees for shade during the day. Woke up to kangaroos in the next paddock and cows in the previous one. Vanessa was super friendly and we definitely recommend getting some of their eggs! Will be back for sure.

We had a lovely second stay at Vanessa and Troyā€™s nestled amongst the trees. The kids loved the open space. Our hosts were very accommodating, we will be back.

Lovely couple, very welcoming. Easy instructions and access with our van to our site. The property was nice, with the typical farm feel youā€™d expect when camping in a rural country location. Would definitely stay again in the future. But would probably get in earlier when camp fires were still an option. Being a working farm property, I think the green lovely scenery wouldnā€™t a thing, and the flies might be an issue. Overall it was a very nice short weekender weā€™d definitely do again.

Although this place is just outside of town, itā€™s so quiet and peaceful! Our Host Vanessa, welcomed us as we arrived and had our farm fresh eggs ready to go. We spent two night in the Paddock, which was just beautiful. The sound of sheep, horses and cows all around us, just completed the scene! We will be back for sure!

We had a lovely stay at the Paddock for 3 nights. The kids roamed free, climbed trees and ran around. The grounds are very well looked after and Vanessa and Troy were great hosts. We will be back!

Lovely tranquil spot in a great proximity to Perth. The stars at night were amazing and Venassa and Troy were lovely hosts, very hospitable! Our little fella loved it and we'll definitely bring our family back as soon as we get the chance!

The Paddock
We loved spending 2 nights on The Paddock at Jinjarra Homestead. It was our first trip with our brand new van and it was made especially memorable due to the beauty of the camp-site. Vanessa and Troy were perfect hosts, taking us to the site, giving privacy and letting us know when they needed to move about the farm nearby to tend to cattle. The paddock was so green and fresh and the sunny days in late winter provided a picturesque site for sitting out and relaxing. We were the only van there so it was very private. We watched red tailed black cockatoos munching on gum nuts in the Marri trees and also enjoyed checking out the calves in the nearby paddock. The free range chickens and ducks were delightful, too. Will definitely be back with our friends in the green season to appreciate the beauty. and serenity.

Vanessa and Troy were amazing hostsā€”so welcoming and friendly. The campsite itself is a hidden gem and definitely underrated. During the colder season itā€™s super green and beautiful. I could barely see any other campers, which made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. Such a peaceful and relaxing spot. Weā€™ll definitely be coming back again!

Lovely private corner of a beautifully green paddock. Friendly welcoming host. We added the firewood to our stay, which was on site on arrival and even the firepit was prepared with kindling ready to go. Would definitely stay again!

Our first time camping at Vanessa & Troyā€™s farm, Jinjarra & WOW - what a stunning spot. Only an hour or so from Perth - 15kmā€™s north of Gidgegannup, this has to be one the best stats close to Perth. Vanessa & Troy are super hosts, attentive, caring & just downright great people. Even with the expectant cold front approaching we decided weā€™d give it a go. Camping in caravan with a diesel heater is after all ā€˜glammingā€™ not camping. Weā€™d pre-ordered firewood which was very kindly left at our campsite & even covered with a tarp to keep it dry! We made good use of that in the supplied fire pit the 2nd night a the rain held off for a while. Vanessa drove ahead of us through the paddocks to direct us to our site to make sure we knew exactly where we were going. She even checked in with us on Sat morning to ensure we were ok with all the rain. There are two sites on the farm a couple 100mā€™s from each other - far enough that you feel youā€™re on your own. Loads of bird life & kangaroos. Itā€™s a working farm so thereā€™s cows & sheep in the neighbouring paddocks - also take care when driving through some of the paddocks to/from your site as they are seeded with crops so stick to the fence lines. Fresh farm eggs are also for sale & can be collected from the farmhouse at check in. There are no facilities here so you need to be fully self contained. We highly recommend Jinjarra Homestead & weā€™ll most certainly be back. Thank you Vanessa & Troy for your hospitality.

A lovely relaxed location with lovely relaxed hosts. Our kids loved the wildlife and livestock - they were particular taken with the very mellow cattle, and made several visits to them over our stay. Lighting fires and chilling was our goal, and we got that in spades. Thanks to Vanessa and Troy. We hope to see you again!

We really enjoy this spot for a quick overnight stay. Easy to access with caravan. Great during the cooler weather when a campfire is allowed. Will definitely be back again.

I highly recommend The Grove! The site itself is in a beautiful location surrounded by a good amount of trees also clearings for the kids to run around. It was private and peaceful with plenty of firewood and stars for when the sun went down. Vanessa went above and beyond - showing us to our site a nd inviting us to feed the cows in the afternoon which the kids loved. Within 1 hour of Perth, it's in the perfect location and an easy drive to get to, we will definitely be back!

What an incredible little spot so close to the city! Warmly welcomed by Troy we settled into a fabulous spot with views across the fields of sheep, cows and a zillion kangaroos. Beautifully serene location. Fed the cows carrots in the morning. Ate farm fresh eggs for breakfast and stargazing in the evening. Will certainly be back šŸ’œ

My partner and I booked this as a last minute city escape for 2 nights and absolutely LOVED it. It's the perfect location as a getaway from the city. Our favourite parts were: starry skies, our own paddock which was nice and quiet, super lovely hosts, and the cows (so cute). I will definitely be coming back!
