Situated on a traditional working farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park, we offer three beautiful and cosy Shepherds huts. Each hut has a double bed, storage, table and chairs. There is a separate shared well-equipped kitchen with dining table, cooker and large fridge freezer. The shower and toilet room is situated to the rear of the kitchen room. Outside chairs and tables are provided along with towels and bedding. Lighting is off grid, battery powered lights are provided in the huts and shared spaces. Each hut has a wood burner and the farm sells additional firewood along with apple juice and fresh eggs, from their honesty box. The huts have amazing views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, a perfect rural retreat to get away from it all.

The site contains three shepherd huts in a gated and fenced field, with shared access to amenities. The field is based in a working farm, adjacent to cow fields and next to the farm house. WalesSituated on a traditional Breconshire working farm in the magnificent setting of the Brecon Beacons National Park, is Shepherd’s Retreat Wales, a lovely group of shepherd’s huts and gypsy-style caravans each hosting a plush double bed, woodburning stove and dining and seating area for two. Set at the base of the Black Mountains and enjoying a tranquil location within a shared, enclosed garden, this group of properties provide an idyllic spot to relax with loved ones and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Utilise a communal kitchen equipped with a good selection of necessary appliances to cook up a storm, or relish alfresco mealtimes with use of a barbecue; the site also hosts a shared bathroom facility so you can feel refreshed and ready for the day ahead. When you want to explore, a short stroll will bring you to Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales famous for pike fishing; from here you can also try out a wealth of activities at Llangorse Multi Activity Centre, such as pony trekking and riding, rock climbing and zip lining. The magnificent Dinas Castle hillfort resides only a stone’s throw away from your doorstep and is the highest and one of the most impressive structures of its kind in England and Wales. Further afield in Brecon, immerse yourself in the history of the area at The Royal Welsh Regimental Museum ahead of ambling along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Test out your swing at Brecon Golf Club before enjoying a cold beverage in one of the plentiful pubs here; for walking enthusiasts, a challenge awaits in hiking to the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain or you can stretch your legs that little further and head towards the highest point in the Brecon Beacons, Pen Y Fan. Brown Hare Shepherds Retreat Wales
It was great staying at the Shepards hut! There are sheep, ducks and cows all around. The hut itself is very cozy and comfortable with towels and sheets provided. The kitchen is well equipped and allowed us to make some tasty meals. The bathroom was very clean and the shower had both cold and hot water. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back.

We had such a lovely time staying here. The host was really attentive and every need we had was met. The surrounding area was stunning, great village near by and we would definitely come back. We’re looking at coming back as a group and booking all three shepherds huts because we had such a wonderful time.

What a lovely, peaceful place. The simplicity of the huts and the communal areas was exactly what I was after. Warm and cosy on a November's evening after a walk in the beautiful local area. A friendly host who lets you get on it with it. Perfect.

Absolutely beautiful little place loved it!! Tranquil, up in the fields, staff are excellent and then let you to get on with it. Will be going back
