The Village Green, located in Strath Creek, Victoria, just over an hour from Melbourne, offers a variety of group accommodations for events such as quiet retreats, family reunions, sports and leadership camps, and special events. Available options include four Glampervans, a Bunkhouse, The Headley Homestead, and an oval and Pavilion. For animal lovers, there is a wide range of native wildlife to be seen by day and night. Parrots, kookaburras, kangaroos, and wombats regularly roam around close to the accommodation. A night time stroll with a torch in hand enables you to get a close-up view of wild wombats grazing near your accommodation.

Perfect for a solo traveller or a couple. With respect to the Taungurung people, they belong to one of two moieties – The ancestral beings Bundjil ( wedge tail eagle ) and Waang ( Crow ) “Wings” pays respect to our traditional owners. This Glamper sleeps 2 people and has everything you need including a kitchenette, BBQ, ensuite, heating and cooking. TV and WiFi The lounge chairs and dining area on the deck provide a perfect viewing spot for the rolling hills and valleys as well the wide range of native wildlife to be seen by day and night. Kookaburras, kangaroos, wombats, the famous King Parrots, wedge tail eagles and crows circling in the skies above as well as our the resident alpacas and sheep. There is an Individual fire-pits located near the glamper as well as a larger communal campfire. The Village Green provides the perfect setting for groups of all sizes to share stories and make memories around the fire under a star-filled sky.

Stephen Lade Snr immigrated from England and one was on the “Selectors” in 1870. “Lade” pays respect to the Lade family and their contribution to dairying, cheese making and later merino sheep farming. Calling families, friends and like-minded groups. The Strath Creek Lodge is a great way to bring people together who share an interest in fun, sport and nature, to enjoy The Village Green facilities and the beautiful, seasonal and tranquil surroundings. Whether you are looking for a venue to host your family reunion, sports and leadership camp or special gathering of friends – you can achieve it all at The Village Green. The Strath Creek Lodge which sleeps 25 people has three bedrooms with single bunks and the fourth bedroom with a double bed bunk. There are two bathrooms, an open plan kitchen and living area with couches and a Coonara wood heater, WiFi in all rooms and google chrome for you to stream Netflix etc from your phone to the TV. A brand new mobile phone tower is in our area if you are with Telstra or Aldi you will have good mobile coverage. All rooms have aircon and heating. There is an 80-inch tv in the main living area and 2 smaller tvs in 2 of the 4 bedrooms. The outside deck is undercover and has a BBQ and outdoor dining on the undercover deck and a table tennis table that can also be set up in this area to provide fun for all ages. The deck provide a perfect viewing spot for the rolling hills and valleys as well as the wide range of native wildlife to be seen by day and night. Kookaburras, kangaroos, wombats, the famous King Parrots and the resident lamas and sheep. It’s a great base to start the day before a game of cricket or other sports, exploring the surrounding area, engaging in the wide range of activities the property has to offer. There is the hedge maze, cricket nets, basketball hoops, low ropes course to name a few. For the more adventurous there are hills to climb, orientation courses of varying difficulty and 200 acres to explore on foot or mountain bike (if you have one). The hills are steep, so walking poles are encouraged but the view is worth it! Please keep the noise/music down after 11 pm. Please note: For The Strath Creek Lodge guests will be required to bring their own sleeping bags, doonas, and towels. Pillows and bottom sheets are supplied.

The Headley Homestead

The Headley Homestead is a beautiful and peaceful space to bring close family and friends together who want to spend time creating memories. Whether you are looking for a venue to host your family reunion, wedding weekend, gathering of friends – this is the perfect home for you. Our Headley Homestead which sleeps 13 people has five bedrooms with all linen and towels are supplied - a King master with ensuite, two Queen bedrooms, a Double bunk and another with two sets of single bunks. There are two extra bathrooms, an open plan kitchen and living area with couches and an open wood fire, laundry and aircon and heating. We have WiFi and google chrome for you to stream Netflix etc from your phone to the TV. A brand-new mobile phone tower is in our area if you are with Telstra or Aldi you will have good mobile coverage. The outside deck is undercover and has two separate entertaining areas - a BBQ and outdoor dining overlooking the pool and spa and outdoor large fire pit and the other with a lounge and space for a table tennis table that can also be set up in this area to provide fun for all ages. It is also a perfect viewing spot for the rolling hills and valleys as well as the wide range of native wildlife to be seen by day and night. Kookaburras, kangaroos, wombats, the famous King Parrots and the resident alpacas and sheep. Glamper Wings at The Village Green
Had an amazing couple of days at Village Green. My partner, dog and I stayed in Glamper Wings for the Easter weekend and it was the most perfect place for us who had been wanting to disconnect from the busy and chaotic life in the city. We loved that the glamper came with everything we needed - a kitchen, smart tv, shower, etc. My favourite spot was the balcony - perfect for reading and having a glass of wine while getting yourself soaked in the quiet of nature. There was also a ridge walk trail we headed to from the site, and if there's something I wished we did differently is to get up early to do the hiking when there is more time before it gets dark. I loved knowing the history of the place where Village Green now stands on and seeing how the traditional owners of the land were acknowledged in some parts of the property. We wish to go back.

Stunning location.
Glamper Lade at The Village Green
What a treat it was staying at Village Green. The Lade camper felt particularly private and tucked away. The ridge walk is a must do - we did it twice while we were there and it did not disappoint! Thank you for having us for our 3rd wedding anniversary.

Glamper Wings at The Village Green
We really enjoyed our stay here, it was clean and cozy and had everything you needed for a short stay. The glampervan was surprisingly spacious and we had a great view. We especially loved the fact our dogs were welcomed and we would definitely come back.
