Moot point for us: flooding from Helene wiped out local infrastructure. We communicated with Mandy ahead of time and decided not to stop by. Hope we can make a return trip someday and that her farm and neighborhood ultimately recover.

We loved Mandy’s camp site! Everything was very neat and organized and we were very comfortable there. She even left us farm fresh eggs! We loved the farm too. Everything was just perfect.

Little Jaybird Farm Mountain Camp
Fantastic spot to camp. The site is a 2-3 minute walk into the woods behind the farm, so it feels very isolated while being close enough to react to emergencies. Mandy and the rest of the house were incredibly kind and helpful with any questions we had.
The site itself was gorgeous. Flat, on top of a small hill, comfortable site for tent, and the amenities were top notch (welcome basket, water cooler, wonderful outhouse, table, firepit, grill stand). Would recommend this site to anyone!

It’s a working farm with the typical farm animals. It’s an uphill trek to the campsite, but hosts provided assistance with a Gator and we were greeted with a table with cloth, a beautiful vase of flowers AND a dozen fresh eggs and a 5-gallon container of water. Fantastic cedar john with composting materials and necessary provisions. Super nice folks. We had a great time.

Mandy was great and the campsite was perfect! The hosts went above and beyond for us. The area was beautiful, the bathroom was very clean, and everything was as described. We are definitely planning to come back.

We loved this place! The hosts were very welcoming and helped us get our stuff up to the site and back. The site is nice and secluded and surrounded by beautiful woods. The kids loved the swing and bike track. We will def. be back!

It was a great escape from the urban life. Mandy was a great host and the boys had a blast with the animals and the swing. Would definitely book again next time longer.

This was a PERFECT spot for a little mountain get away. Pretty close to Asheville and Mandy/Walker were unreal hosts! Campsite was close enough to the house/parking to be convenient but far enough away to feel like you are in your own world. Will definitely be back.

Little Jaybird Farm Mountain Camp
We absolutely loved this camping trip! The site was very private from the owners' residence. They helped us get our stuff from our car to the campsite which was super helpful. There's a swing for the kids plus a large fire barrel, a composting toilet (which was a new and fun experience for us!), and a sweet little farm cat who hang out with us for much of the weekend. It felt like we were living the homestead life, if only for a brief weekend :-) Walker and Mandy are exceptional hosts -- you can't go wrong booking here! We will for sure be back.

Myself and four friends had the lovely pleasure of staying at Little Jaybird during a road trip up the Appalachian Trail. Mandy and Walker were incredibly accommodating hosts; they were eager to teach us about their farmstead and lifestyle, they were generous with the resources on their land, and they truly went above and beyond to make us all feel at home. The wood fired hot tub was a surprising plus. We had a blast getting to meet them, and our stay at Little Jaybird remains one of our very favorite parts of our road trip.

Had a great stay at Little Jaybird Farm! Perfect host and a great campsite. Had plenty of space for 2 tents and 3 dogs. Perfect mix of backcountry camping with all the right amenities.

Beautiful camping spot at the top of a knoll with a pretty canopy of trees overhead. We had 3 good-sized tents and they all fit on the site. The hosts have bunnies and chickens on their property and keep bees too, ask about the products they make ;) - very welcoming and helped us transport our stuff to and from the site. Would definitely recommend and come back. Great location as well for getting around and exploring the blue ridge east of Asheville.
