We were located in I believe site #3 which is a tent site with electricity. The site is facing a pond, which was lovely. It is however, located between two RV sites. We had the good fortune of those sites, not being occupied, but it might’ve been a different experience with a couple RVs there. The site is very sloped. We have a pretty large tent and there was no location where it could sit level. There’s also a large street light located immediately behind the site so if you don’t have a blackout tent we need to expect a lot of ambient light at night. The site is also located between two roads the one closest to where you would have to put the tent is the main road in and out of the campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom facilities were very clean. We drove around the campground and noticed that the non-electric campsites appeared to be located in level areas close to the lake and would’ve probably been more enjoyable. They also had a petting zoo and several playgrounds that were nice. There is a coin laundry on site, but they do not have a change machine. Overall, I would say that the campground itself is quite nice, but the particular site we were in was not great. For this trip we also used Hip Camp’s Weather Guarantee. We had several thunderstorms come through and generally rainy days, but none of them met the criteria to be covered. I would probably skip the coverage in the future.

The campgrounds were a very pleasant surprise. Very well maintained, clean, quiet at night, and the staff were all very friendly and wonderful (including maintenance guys who helped me with a plumbing leak issue). Nice petting zoo, dog play area, little beach on the lake, and trails around the grounds. Some RV spots are a little close together, but the overall grounds are large and spacious, so it didn't feel crowded. Kind of an under-the-radar hidden gem for the Twin Cities!
