Named after the star Sirius, this 5m luxury Bell tent has comfy bedding and everything you need to reconnect with nature. Explore nearby sandy beaches, forests and the vibrant maritime city of Plymouth or the remote Dartmoor. Charming communal areas and brand new luxury showers and toilets. Escape to "Stones and Stars" - a brand new boutique glamping site with 5-10 tents and tipis surrounded by nature in a peaceful quarry that has been reclaimed by nature on the edge of two lakes. Explore nearby sandy beaches, forests and the vibrant maritime city of Plymouth or the remote Dartmoor. Charming communal areas and brand new luxury showers and toilets. Nature, comfort and adventure awaits! "Stones and Stars" boutique glamping is nestled exclusively within Radford Quarry which has been taken over by nature since it closed as a limestone quarry in the 1960s. There are between 5 and 10 tents and tipis in the 14 acre quarry which its directly on the South West Coast Path. Your brand new bell tent or tipi comes with a comfy bed, good quality bedding and towels, antique furniture plus all the crockery, cutlery and bbq utensils. We can provide extra beds if needed. Battery power packs are provided in each tent for the lights and phone chargers. We have blankets and hot water bottles for the colder nights. A nice communal area surrounded by trees and cliffs allows guests to congregate if they wish. There will be regular food options available and there are several great pubs, cafes, a local shop and supermarket within walking distance. A whole host of animals including birds of prey, badgers and deer are often seen in the quarry and the colours change with each hour. We ask guests to respect the wildlife at all times. Walk out of the Quarry past Radford Castle (also available to stay) into the grounds of the old Radford Estate to explore the fishing lake, ruins of the old boat house and tidal Hooe Lake which is perfect for paddleboarding and Kayaking. A longer walk takes you to Radford Woods, Bovisand Beach, Mount Batten or Saltram House. Plymouth also offers a host of activities and is accessible via the ferry from Mount Batten. There is so much to do nearby. Plymouth train station is less than 15 minutes away (approximately £12 in a taxi). Secure bicycle parking is also available. If driving you can access the site from the carpark next to Radford Castle PL9 7RU, please park in the designated spaces and follow the signs to "Stones and Stars".
