The camping field is fairly big and basically bare (as can be seen on the pictures). Everything went as expected, toilets and showers were functional (even though not the cleanest and prettiest but that is to be expected from a camp of this size I suppose).
Since the field is so big, it was quite windy without anything to break the winds but otherwise all good.

Lovely camp ground - has a small river running through it. Kids love playing on the rope over the water. Kids were happy and everything was there that we needed. You can hire fire pits

Planned a last minute camp, and glad I chose this campsite.
The check in was straightforward and the instructions and information was clear.
Plenty of space to choose your pitch, toilets are very clean and had all the amenities I needed.

Tim who was on duty when we arrived was lovely, kind and very helpful. This is not our type of campsite however. I was misled by the description that said camping in fields and woodland (the description needs clarification). No woodland you can camp in just woodland around the fields. Secondly, the place is full of campervans, caravans and vans which you walk through to find the more serene areas and pass if you need the toilet. Some are nice but there are some very tatty static homes and other strange vehicles that do nothing to dress the place up. You can hear the main road and the motorbikes until late at night - it is a big site so I guess if you kept on walking you could escape this if you go far enough from the facilities and first few acres. I am sure this site is great for some people so not knocking it - definitely not for us. We like natural, quiet and non-commercial where the focus is on the environment not vehicles and flagpoles and lights etc. This site is well suited to the caravan type and a more basic person. It’s cheap so perhaps there’s a correlation there. Different horses different courses. Not our course.

Firstly, when we arrived, the host told us that only 6 fire pits were available for the entire campsite (obviously big attendance on site as its bank holiday weekend) so a bit of a disappointment. Secondly, we pitched our tent further away from a group of 20 campers playing music extremely loud. We asked them kindly to turn the music down to which they responded “you are far away from us anyway”. We tried to resume our evening but the music was just TOO loud so we asked them again to which they responded with even louder music, singing and dancing as if to provoque us. We rang the office to ask for help. Whilst we were waiting for the host to intervene, one of the campers drove past us with music very loud and aggressively asking us “what is your problem?”. When the host turned up and told them to lower the music, we were hoping to have a lovely evening but as soon as the host left they continued to play the music really loud resulting us in packing up and leaving the campsite. This is such a shame that fellow campers were acting in such a disrespectful way and that nothing was done by the host to stop them. Due to the threatening behaviour of this fellow camper, we didn’t feel safe and had to leave.

Not to have a noisy circus so close!!!! With loud music which I should have been notified about when booking! 2 hours of it was enough for me to leave! I obviously didn’t stay for the night!

Stayed for 2 nights in a tent. Sue was very accommodating, even driving us to the co-op to get some logs for our fire pit. Would recommend going here on a Friday night for a weekend trip out of London.

Made a last minute booking because the weather is good. It’s a nice field, lots of space to camp and have a little forest vibe place you can hide in. We came in via train, it’s about 18 min walk from train station.

Excellent campsite. Facilities were good, and there is no end of space. Loved the walks along the river, and access for our paddle boards were plentiful.

Lovely big camping lots of space for setting up the tent. Riverside lovely for walk, kayaking, paddling even swimming. Very friendly atmosphere.

Cleaning in the toilet and shower area was really not good. It was dirty in both men and women area and the water drain in the shower didn’t work, so we “drowned” during shower and no shelve to put the clothes on

Nice location, allows dogs and campfires which is a massive bonus. Big enough to have some privacy even when busy, and the toilets/showers kept clean.

Didn't realise that there would be multiple people with petrol dirt bikes tearing around the field in which we were camping, not the experience we leave London for to be honest. Nothing against dirt bikes, just time and a place. Apart from that it was adequate.

Huge camp site! Can be as close or far away from people as you want. This was our first trip with our dogs so we chose a nice quiet spot in the corner. Toilets and showers clean. Staff very friendly. Had everything you could possible need for a weekend of camping
