This is a place to feel connected to the land and to completely let go of all the pressures of modern living. Jan is passionate about bio diversity and I loved walking up to the yurt, brushing past lavender and sage and wild flowers full of bees and butterflies, picking an apple on the way - and having it for breakfast whilst looking over a most glorious sunrise view from Buzzard Yurt. Then a walk in the woods and chilling in the hammock reading and soaking up the birdsong and the sound of the buzzard up above. At night - lying on the deck looking up at a starry sky and sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows. A truly relaxing and healing few days. Thank you Jan.

Kingfisher yurt
Wow, wow, wow.
So we had a fantastic time at Kingfisher Yurt, relaxing under the Oak and Ash trees. Swimming pond was perfect.
Yurt was really comfortable and the kitchen was fab for dining and playing games, We hired the hot tub, which was also lovely.
Jan was a perfect host. We shall be back.

We loved our stay at Buzzard Yurt! Jan was super friendly and helpful, and the kids loved the trampoline, the pond, the hot tub, feeding the chickens, picking the eggs and just everything the lovely campsite had to offer. It was such a good break from the bustle of city life and we cannot wait to return. The night skies were delightful with a sky full of stars and hardly any light pollution anywhere near us, and our days were filled with adventure and nature at the camp. Jan's campsite is conveniently located to lots of lovely sights - Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis. A perfect break!

We had an amazing time! Jan was so kind showing our little boy the broody hens babysitting pheasant eggs, and we actually saw the freshly-hatched chicks! Such a peaceful place.

We loved our stay as a group of 5 at the Kingfisher Yurt. Great location close to local pubs and short drive to Beer/ Seaton/ Branscombe.
The kitchen is perfect for self catering and relaxing in the evenings with the Yurt being a comfortable size for 5. The wood fire hot tub, swimming pond and camp fire were real highlights.
Jan was really helpful with plenty of local knowledge and once he showed us around left us to our own devices. Would thoroughly recommend.

We loved our stay in Buzzard yurt. My expectations were high but it still exceeded them. The views are fantastic and we sat on the balcony and watched shooting stars. There was so much for the children. They loved the pond and trampoline and made use of the games available. It is such a beautiful place and you can really tell how much thought has gone into it. We would love to stay again some time.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Buzzard yurt. Having the wood burning stove made the interior snug at night when it was cold outside. The separate kitchen was fully equipped for our needs and it was great to have that, and our own, separate shower, for our sole use.
One can tell that a lot of thought and environmental consideration has gone into this site. Jan, the owner, was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Loved Molly the mouser who would bring us the odd present!
Beautiful, peaceful countryside and the dawn chorus was stunning!
We are already recommending to friends. Although we didnât have children with us on this occasion, I think kids would love exploring the range of things to do here. Amazing place!

We lived staying on Caroline's idyllic property. A comfortably furnished yurt, a well equipped kitchen, and our own private corner under oaks and ash - and a delicious spring fed swimming pond. Also, the business is run with minimal environmental impact and responsible use of resources. Highly recommended đ

The yurt and kitchen area were both clean & lovely and had all you needed. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere in the yurt, so peaceful. Caroline was lovely and helpful. Good location close to beaches in the car. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved our experience staying at Caroline's beautiful buzzard Yurt,
wonderful spacious wood fired hot tub
& self-catered space
(Which included a lovely kitted out kitchen, beautiful living room space and shower and private wild swimming lake)- all within a minute/ 2-minute walk from our yurt.
Honestly was a huge breath of fresh air for such value!!
The wood fired hot tub was beautiful.
The yurt was gorgeous and well kept.
The homely decor and details were wonderful.
Caroline went above and beyond as a host!
We will definitely be back, and I have already recommended it as a must go trip to 2 groups of people that love rural trips in the countryside.
