Beautiful site, quiet and secluded with a great fire pit! Definitely make sure the car you drive in has high clearance because the road in could be rocky, but my rav4 got there fine.

Private Site in the Forest!

Addison’s site was exactly what we were looking for! Secluded and private without being totally off the grid. There was great forestry surrounding our site, the campfire and seating areas were awesome, and the road leading to the site was cleared well and had some fun bumps! Bring a truck or SUV! Would definitely recommend, we can’t wait to go back :)

Exactly what we were looking for: car camping with privacy. Site was clean with fire pit and a little table/bench made from logs. Nothing else - just woods, which was great. Occasionally you could hear a truck on the distant road but it was barely noticeable - mostly just sounds of nature.

Site 64 - Humes Hill Farm

We loved camping on Addison's property! Soooo much better than a crowded state park on a big weekend like MDW. He offered to deliver us firewood, and also gave some great hiking and activity suggestions nearby. Loved that he took the time to come over for a quick hello and chat. So calm and peaceful, just what we were looking for!

Exactly as described. Super private, clean, beautiful woods and wildlife. Be bear aware and enjoy serenity . Site 6 is big enough for a group. 2 well-established large tent sites. Watch out for the rocks on the road if you have a lower car

Site 2 - Humes Hill Farm

We had a phenomenal time at Addison's place. Very secluded, close to fly fishing heaven, and the locals were incredibly warm and welcoming. 11/10. Will be back.

Cannot recommend this group of sites enough! Addison was an excellent host, bringing us firewood and making sure we were settled. Site 6 is flat and clean, great fire pit, and extra little touches of log benches and logs to chill on around the fire. Definitely truck accessible. We look forward to coming back and checking out site 5 which also looked great for sunrises. We brought our two dogs. Five stars!

Our stay here was very cute! The hosts were attentive and helpful! Our car died the next AM and they helped us out. It was close to civilization but you couldn’t tell and felt secluded. The fall colors were great! I’d def stay here again! I was bring my mom camping for the first time and she was terrified but the hosts created a great spot to make it comfortable. The bathroom though it was enclosed was a bucket but they had wood chips and it did not feel gross to use.

This is a very well maintained, private, and spacious site with a quiet atmosphere and perfect amenities for tent or RV camping. The hosts were great with communication and were very welcoming. It's a great spot to camp in Litchfield county for hikers, mountain bikers, and brewery lovers alike. Highly recommend!

Tent camping at the Humes Hill farm was amazing. We loved every second of it. The falling acorns kept us alert and smile the entire time. We actually stayed at site #5 to which Addison had invited us to. Our fire pit was super, the site private and any host communication very prompt and kind. Thank you!

Site 6 was a gem, though close to the road/farmhouse — road noise was minimal. Addison was gracious enough to have some wood for us ready. My SUV was able to traverse the terrain no problem, my friend and their sedan was fine so long as they followed the line of path. IF it’s wet or more rutted, I would be particularly cautious with ground clearance. Otherwise slow and steady, and you and your tribe are fine. Site 5 will be next on the docket, it is in my eyes more ideal: quieter, further removed, and quaint. Overall would stay here again, the scenic drive to the location was a delight.

beautiful private camp in the trees

very beautiful property. quiet and well maintained. we could see that there were other campers because of a small light from their fire but they were far enough away that no noise made its way to our camp, felt very private. tons of space as well, we were only 2 people but easily could have suited a full family or larger group. short drive in from the main road with some rocks that would be fine in any 4WD or car w higher ground clearance. short walk to a beautiful pond with a beaver :) also saw lots of frogs, toads, birds. the hosts were responsive and delivered wood to the site for us which was very nice. definitely recommend! people’s state forest is nearby as well and so beautiful

Addison helped us pick a gorgeous site, very peaceful. His list of things to do in the area was perfect, and included ideas for our first road trip with a pup. It’s a great area for exploring waterfalls if you love them as much as we do. Addison also made sure we had plenty of fire wood and checked in on us when a storm passed through. Highly recommend!

This was a great spot for our set up (2wd sedan and tent) and with our 2 dogs! Pretty secluded little spot for us to set up. Addison was a great host and delivered firewood to our site. I would definitely recommend and would go back.
