Great place to go unplug and relax.
If you're tent camping, power and water availability depends on your location on the site. The owners are still developing the camping areas so this may change over time.
There is a road near by but traffic is pretty light during the weekend.
The bathroom was super clean (no spiders). A real plus for the wife. lol
Like I said, the owners are still building this up. They have one little cabin completed (super nice inside), are working to finish the second, and have the foundation set for a third.
I'm looking forward to visiting again to see the development over time

I would most definitely recommend Damon's land for camping! It was peaceful and quiet but not too far from town. As a solo female camper, I felt safe. Having access to the RV (which could have been a little cleaner, but was not the worst public bathroom I've seen!) with a flush toilet, hot running water, and shower was a game changer for my trip ~ I had planned to split my 2 week vacation between camping and hostels, but decided to camp the whole time! I will camp on Damon's land again the next time I am in Louisiana!

This campsite is beautiful. The host, Damon, is a wonderful guy. He does live on-site which wasn't an issue, in fact, I felt safer knowing he was around. The upkeep on the property is well done. Damon allowed us to move sites when we realized we weren't getting as much shade as we wanted in the peak of the day. Our dogs had plenty of room the explore and run. My husband and I were so impressed that we extended our stay.
Other notes: This property isn't super remote. Yes there are neighbors and traffic but nothing remotely as bad as a hotel by the interstate or even a KOA.

This is the perfect place to relax and listen to the woods and nothing else. Super quiet. Private lake is well stocked with various types of fish.
Spacious, with nature trails that lead in to Old Growth Forests.
Spectacular view of the stars at night.
Real dry camping spots between the woods and the lake with picnic table and fire pit.
The host, DeShon is a genuine good person.
While maintaining the campground, he is also actively engaged in helping the youth in the community on numerous levels. One of a kind, good honest guy.

We really enjoyed our two nights at Damon’s camp site. It was so quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed. Upon arrival, Damon provided the electric cord and it was easy to get hooked up. Water hose was near by, the shower and flush toilet, located in an older trailer was much appreciated.
