Weekend Trip to Little Fleece at Folly Farm

Stayed here with my best friend for a girls weekend and can not recommend it enough! Stunning views, beautiful Shepard's hut, all the little added extras, making it so homely and wholesome, the hot tub is gorgeous, the fire pit was fantastic, just sitting out all night with a 🍷 catching up with each other and the🔥 keeping us warm, was utterly superb ❤️😍 we absolutely loved every second ❤️ and our hosts, David, Jane and Tory were exceptional. We are definitely booking for next year, maybe sooner ❤️ and can’t wait 🥰

We absolutely loved our stay! Highlights included the gorgeous bathhouse, cosy and well stocked caravan and taking peaceful walks in the woods. Anna was a helpful and generous host and made us feel so welcome.

A peaceful site close to Lampeter. The pitches are grass and fairly level and there are two small, but beautifully clean toilet and shower shacks with a washing and fresh water area behind. Great communication from the hosts.

2 nights at Heygates Lodging

We have stayed in the Pheasant Lodge in this beautiful location and it was exactly what we need it. The Lodge was home to home, super clean and well equipped with everything we need it. Graham and Alison are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. The jacuzzi was amazing, perfect place to relax while watching the beautiful sunset over the canal. Yelvertoft was not too far and we loved the delicious homemade sausages from Alex's deli for our grill. We wish we could stayed a bit longer, truly enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed at 68 Degrees West a couple of times now. It’s a great campsite. There is plenty of space in the field, so even with other campervans there, it feels like you have privacy and room to enjoy the beautiful views. The shower and toilet block was spotless. Location is excellent. The views are stunning despite our stay being on a more overly cloudy/misty day/night. Close to Brecon town centre and easily reached by taxi both ways. Craddock Golf Course nearby was also very welcoming where we watch the 1st half of the rugby before heading into town. We did message a couple of times via Hipcamp about the pitch but didnt get a reply. However, when we arrived we were happy with the pitches available. We just picked our own and set up. Overall we were really pleased and would definitely return.

To all the savvy readers out there, do yourselves a favor and reserve a spot at this gem of a place. Graham & Allison are the ultimate hosts, and I can't stress enough how delightful our stay was. We're definitely planning a return trip and can't wait to reunite with Allison. The hot tub was a dream, I even managed to reel in some decent-sized fish! The lodge was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Top-notch comfort all around.

Nicky and her son were very friendly and helpful. Showed us around and left us to it but when I did need them they were a phone call away and very helpful. Cabin was beautiful and so peaceful. We stayed for two nights. Walked to the reservoir which was worth it.

Weekend Trip to Little Fleece at Folly Farm

Folley Farm was a picture perfect stay! Jane could not have done enough to settle us in, lighting the fire ready for our arrival and the gorgeous welcome pack including homemade biscuits and bread. The Shepherds hut was beyond impressive, the perfect place to switch off! We will certainly be back in the summer to make use of the wood fired bath & outdoor BBQ/ pizza oven facilities.

The perfect getaway. The hut was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bathtub was easy to heat up and worth the wait. Jane and David were very thoughtful; providing breakfast items, and gave us great advice on which pub to visit the next day! Easy to get to from London on public transport.

We live in a secluded idyllic hamlet only 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. Yr Hen Felin used to be the flour mill serving Dyffryn House and the Estate. Later it became the woodsman’s cottage. The water wheel no longer exists, but the river runs through the property. The five acre site has two beautifully converted horseboxes and a shepherd’s hut with exclusive use of my art room which has a kitchenette, a woodburning stove and table and sofabed. For those who enjoy a more modern experience we have a dwelling with boifold doors on two sides and spectacular views. And who wouldn’t enjoy a campfire under the stars, in the shadow of the Beacons? The five and six metre bell tents are each kitted out with beds, bedding and log-burning stoves. Outside, each has the off-ground fire pit and outdoor seating regular glampers will have come to expect but there’s an added extra too: a private camp kitchen, that’s also canvas covered. It provides a sheltered place to cook and dine when the weather’s wet and welcome shade when this open field is bathed in summer sun. On such days, this is just the kind of scenic spot that could tempt you to stay on site all day but if you’re feeling adventurous the mountains will soon lure you away. Hiking, biking and wild swimming (try Llyn Cwm Llwch on way up top) are all on offer here. Closer by, Held Wood is a local favourite for walks with a series of small waterfalls within it. The Taff Trail offers well-signposted routes – towards the peaks in one direction or along country lanes to the market town of Brecon in the other.
