Guests to Rhos y Gallt describe the campsite as a little gem of a site - small, quite and tranquil with wonderful sunsets. The site can accommodate up to 5 caravans and 10 tents situated on a level 2 acre site within the beautiful rolling hills of Montgomeryshire in Mid Wales.
There are hard standing pitches with electric hook-up as well as grass pitches with and without electric hook-up. There is also a field bordering a river which is used for wild camping - but you'll have to share it with the sheep!
The toilet block has a family wet room with shower, toilet, wash hand basin and baby changing unit, a separate toilet, shower and kitchen area with freezer.
The site borders a river meadow where visitors can wonder down and take a walk down with the river bank, relax by the water edge, throw a few skimmers, do a spot of fishing or even go wild water swimming (at your own risk!).
Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum 2 per unit).
We were delighted to receive a nomination for The Camping and Caravanning Club Best Hideaway Site in 2021 and grateful to our wonderful guests for the nomination.

Beautiful scenery not far from Denbigh town centre. Pitches are spaced out nicely. Every pitch has a picnic bench and fire pit. We had an 8 people tent and a 4 people tent on one pitch and still had plenty of space for 6 camping chairs, a metal table, and 2 portable stoves. There’s a compost toilet, a flushable toilet, 2 showers, an honesty shed, and a kitchen area equipped with 2 sinks (drinking water), a fridge, and a freezer. The river runs right along the campsite, but unfortunately the drought has currently ran it dry. The bins and parking area are located by the gated entrance.
Really nice to be in a secluded campsite surrounded by nature. We could hear cows and peacocks. There are 2 chickens that roam freely around the site. The hosts are friendly and checked in with us upon arrival, a few times during our stay, and before we left.
We went to “Gors Maen Llwyd, North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve” which is only an 11 minute drive away and it was beautiful.
Very suitable for families. We could see that the kids from various pitches had made friends and were playing together. Our group was 3 couples and it was very enjoyable. It’s quiet, but not too quiet. Very peaceful. I’d definitely recommend.

This was such a peaceful place to camp, and incredibly inspiring site to explore.
I loved the privacy of the pitches nestled within the meadow, and the option of a communal campfire spot.
The observatory building is well worth a long visit and appreciation, there is a beautiful and inspiring creative microculture here.

What an absolutley wonderful holiday - again!
- The campsite is clean, tranquil, quiet and part of a larger site with so many treasures to explore - storytelling in the round house, star gazing in the observatory, swings in the woodland, a maze in a meadow, strolls along the nature trails, fresh food in the cafe and a beautiful little shop with fresh produce and essentials (the milk and butter were particularly delicious!) and 10 minutes drive from beautiful beaches.
- All pitches on site feel private - everyone is spread with plenty of room between each tent, and with your own little path and high grass surrounding you it feels like just you on the site! We were on pitch 9 and 10 and loved it.
- Food highlights included the onsite cafe, gluten free pizza at Aberdaron Beach Cafe or fish and chips at Sblash Fish Bar, and we LOVED Caffi Siop Plas selling Gallettes and Crepes.
On the Llyn Penninsular we had pizza on the beach at Aberdaron, flew a kite,squeaked our feet and saw dolphins on whistling sands, desended many steps and went rockpooling on Ysgo, explored an outdoor ampitheatre and beautiful art gallery at Plas Glyn Y Weddw whilst we waited for our washing and drying (at the wash.me 24 hr laundrette) and found a thousand beautiful shells on porth Ysgaden.
Felin Meadow Camping is a wonderful campsite. The owners, their family and all staff we met were so friendly and helpful.
I am so glad we returned here for our family holiday and we look forward to coming back!

Tent camping was great did two separate bookings with a friend and had a lovey time, we were able to pitch next to each other. Easy to park and the water supply was easy to get to. Lots of clear signs.

I pitched camp in the non-electric area, which is at the far end of the slightly sloping site. It was quiet and afforded some lovely views. Water point is 50m away, on the way to the facilities. Warm welcome from the hostess. Would recommend.

A beautiful campsite in a very peaceful location! We had a lovely time here. The showers and toilets were very clean and the shower water was warm. The location is close to Beaumaris and Conwy for day trips but also nestled in a quiet area - with secret beaches and walks to explore. Em the owner was very friendly with a little cafe open in the morning - and lots of vegan options which is much appreciated!
