Felin Uchaf Meadow Camping

12 units · Motorhomes, Tents10 acres · Pwllheli, Wales
Private camping fields based within the site of Menter Y Felin Uchaf. Felin Uchaf is host to several traditional and eco buildings, an observatory, a craft shop, farm shop, a regenerative farm and market garden, woodland walks, roundhouse and cabin accommodation, as well as being a hub for storytelling and music evenings, private and public events and gatherings, and weekly volunteering opportunities. We also hope to re-open our garden Cafe once more over the summer months. Guests are welcome to walk around the site. A small oasis nestled within woodland and hedgerows planted up to 20 years ago, providing seclusion and immersion in nature. We are surrounded by beautiful a coastline, quiet beaches (can be busy at the peak of summer - happy to suggest quieter spots!), and hill top hikes. A stay here offers the perfect location to explore all that the Llyn Peninsula has to offer and a chance for plenty of walking, swimming, surfing and exploring for those wanting to be in nature. We are happy to suggest some of the best spots for a day out, as well as local eateries and cafes, and the nearest amenities if needed!

Wild Penllŷn Gwyllt

5 units · Tents1 acre · Llanbedrog, Wales
Our site is in the far northwest corner of Wales UK, on the wild coastal edge of the Llŷn Peninsula, or Penllŷn in Welsh. We are surrounded by sea and look across to the mountains of Eryri / Snowdonia. The camping area is part of our private property where we live and work, along with our dog. We are restoring our land to a wildflower meadow and other nature friendly habitat, but allowing use of one field for seasonal camping and occasionally larger gatherings. We will be nearby to offer assistance and suggestions on your stay in the area, however we also ask that you are considerate and also respect our privacy, minimising noise, time spent near the house or in the garden, especially late at night. It is also essential that the gates are kept closed and access clear. We are in an ideal spot for cyclists and walkers exploring the coast of Wales (we are a short diversion from the national coast path). Low carbon travellers are welcome, with Pwllheli train station about 5 miles away and we are also on the main Pwllheli to Aberdaron bus route. We can accommodate a limited number of vehicles including camper vans and smaller motor homes (please check size with us first to ensure your motorhome is not too wide for our track). The field is a short walk from the car parking area, past the house and through the garden. There is an outdoor tap for water by the house and a composting ‘eco’ loo in the camping field. In the near future we will be building a track direct from the parking area to the field and installing a water supply in the camping area. There is a wealth of wonderful footpaths, interesting landmarks and fantastic beaches in the nearby area. The villages of Abersoch and Llanbedrog are nearby with a choice of pubs and eateries, Pwllheli has a range of larger shops. Local eggs and other produce can be bought locally too, and there is both a farm shop and village post office / general store.
