This is the perfect mix of luxury and the outdoors. Charlie was amazing from start to finish and couldn’t do enough for us. There’s nothing better than sleeping under the stars (in a proper bed!). We can’t wait to return. Thanks for the perfect break ❤️

We had the most wonderful stay at this gorgeous shepherds hut. Everything about our visit was just perfect. The setting was so peaceful and private and dreamy, such a beautiful little escape to relax and switch off. The hut itself was cosy, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need, you can really tell how much care and thought has gone into it. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Honestly, there is nothing we would change. We left feeling so happy and refreshed and would absolutely love to come back again. Could not recommend it more 💖

Our stay at Over the Moon was absolutely perfect. Ruth was super friendly and gave clear instructions on how to find them, and replied quickly to any questions. The location is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The hut had everything we needed and the bed was huge and very comfortable. We can’t wait to come stay again!

A lovely campsite with very friendly hosts (and even friendlier dogs). The wild campsite has a little river flowing around and there are some spare Kayaks you can borrow to go on the river with or just simply wild swim.

A fantastic week as close to perfect as possible. Buddy my dog and I stayed in our own tent on the Don Don pitch. Falling to sleep with the guddling of the stream outside. Watched a meteor storm with fellow guests and got to sample Jane's cooking. Jane can cook. They make pizza in a pizza oven outdoors that is as good as any Italian pie. Easy to find. Lots of parking and super tidy with spotless bathrooms. Without a doubt I'm coming back. Thank You.

Lovely as always! This was my second visit to the Shepherds Hut, and it was just as great as my first visit.
The inside was cosy, tidy and firewood bundle was a great addition for the cooler summer nights!

We throughly enjoyed our two night stay. Fantastic owners Ian and Jane made us feel very welcome. Lovely communal area on the main site called the 'sunset shack' with comfy chairs, picnic tables and cooking area. Saturday evening spent gathered with other campers sharing stories. We stayed over on the wild camping part across the road. This had compost loos, nice hot shower and running water. No electric on this side, but not needed. Used the kitchenette on the main site to breafly charge phones. Left on a Sunday and not rushed off site as no other arrivals. Will 100% stay again at this little slice of heaven.

Have already recommended this place to friends. We had a lovely stay in the sunshine. The hut is has everything you need in a compact but unsquashy space. Enjoyed some fine walks and a super day out in Ruthin. We'd also recommend the Red Lion for a visit. Ruth & Jude were both very helpful and welcoming. I'm sure we'll come back.

I had a wonderful stay in this charming shepherd’s hut nestled in a peaceful meadow. The hut was beautifully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and cozy getaway. The surrounding area was lovely, with fruit to pick and plenty of space for the dogs, who absolutely loved it! The hosts were fabulous—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend this little gem for a relaxing countryside retreat.

We had a great time at Tipis at Ponty! The location was beautiful, and close to many hiking areas, the lake, and tallest waterfall in Wales and England. The site was very clean and had everything we needed. Jane and her husband were very friendly and ensured we were all set. They have a great sunset shack on the hill to watch the beautiful colors in the sky, and we even played a few rounds of table tennis. We would highly recommend staying at Tipis at Ponty, and look forward to our next trip there!

We absolutely loved camping here and staying on the Daffyd pitch. Jane and Ian were so incredibly lovely and had some great recommendations for what to do in the local area. We also enjoyed an oven baked pizza on the Saturday night! Peaceful, beautiful and welcoming stay - truly special. We hope to be back.

Perfect getaway for me and my daughter. The hut is perfect, everything you could need and equipped and furnished beautifully. The views are stunning and the location is within easy reach of nature reserves and forests - spoilt for choice. It was so cosy and warm in the hut with the log burner lit and the fairy lights on.
