Our stay at Over the Moon was absolutely perfect. Ruth was super friendly and gave clear instructions on how to find them, and replied quickly to any questions. The location is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The hut had everything we needed and the bed was huge and very comfortable. We can’t wait to come stay again!

Weekend Trip to Upper House Farm Glamping
Fantastic weekend at Upper House Farm glamping. We stayed at the Mountain View Bell tent. Pleasant surprise to see a picnic bench and extendable parasol, which weren't mentioned in the listing. Very comfortable double bed. Great that you have a camping stove, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery. Very thoughtful of the owners to have a bottle of water, wood and kindling. Stunning view of the Black mountains from the field and the stars at night were really a sight to behold. Would highly recommend. You'd be hard pressed to find anything else like this anywhere for an absolute bargain price

Lovely as always! This was my second visit to the Shepherds Hut, and it was just as great as my first visit.
The inside was cosy, tidy and firewood bundle was a great addition for the cooler summer nights!

Have already recommended this place to friends. We had a lovely stay in the sunshine. The hut is has everything you need in a compact but unsquashy space. Enjoyed some fine walks and a super day out in Ruthin. We'd also recommend the Red Lion for a visit. Ruth & Jude were both very helpful and welcoming. I'm sure we'll come back.

I had a wonderful stay in this charming shepherd’s hut nestled in a peaceful meadow. The hut was beautifully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and cozy getaway. The surrounding area was lovely, with fruit to pick and plenty of space for the dogs, who absolutely loved it! The hosts were fabulous—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend this little gem for a relaxing countryside retreat.

3 nights at wildwood quarry retreat
We stayed in the Oak cabin. Both cabins are pretty identical. Absolutely fantastic stay with an amazing location and stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but that was ok because we had all the facilities we needed to cook, clean and relax.
Super easy access to nearby towns if wanting to venture off to find stuff to do.
The outdoor bath was a really nice touch as well. Felt so relived and stress free not having to think about the daily grind for a few nights.
Couldn't recommend Wildwood Quarry Retreat enough!!

Perfect getaway for me and my daughter. The hut is perfect, everything you could need and equipped and furnished beautifully. The views are stunning and the location is within easy reach of nature reserves and forests - spoilt for choice. It was so cosy and warm in the hut with the log burner lit and the fairy lights on. We will return! Thank you

We loved our stay at Over the Moon. Location was perfect, bed was extremely comfy and the hut was very cosy with everything you'd need. We loved the chickens mooching around and hearing the sheep and baby lambs. Such a peaceful and beautiful location. Thanks to Ruth & Jude and the animals ☺️

Over The Moon is a charming shepherd’s hut, and it was an absolute delight to stay there. The accommodation is thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished to a high standard. It was also super cosy and warm. The peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the tranquil surroundings was just what I needed. I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a relaxing and restorative getaway.

I had a wonderful time at Ruth's Shepards hut. The hut was so cozy and a perfect location to explore the delights of North Wales. The eggs from the hens were the best I've tasted! 😍 I was travelling alone with my dog and Ruth put me right at ease and was a very welcoming host. Weekend Trip to Over-the-Moon Luxury Shepherds Hut
We absolutely loved our stay in this shepherd’s hut. The location is fantastic, with plenty of walks and nature spots nearby—perfect for outdoor lovers. The orchard garden was much larger than we expected and ideal for letting our dog roam safely off-lead.
The hut itself was impressively well equipped with everything we needed: a fully stocked kitchen, shower, toilet, sink, soft towels, various lighting options, indoor and outdoor seating, plus both a radiator and log burner for cozy evenings. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after long walks.
It was also, without a doubt, the cleanest holiday stay we’ve ever experienced. Communication with Ruth was spot on. Everything felt just right, and we enjoyed every moment. We loved it so much we’re already booking our next stay!

Weekend Trip to Over-the-Moon Luxury Shepherds Hut
We had the most wonderful stay at The Sheperd’s Hut. Ruth and Jude were truly wonderful hosts.
The location is just beautiful. Waking up to the gorgeous views, and our exploring the local forest was amazing. The sheep, chickens, and friendliest dogs made for a wonderful walk through the field.
Everything was spotless, and you could feel the work and love that had been poured in. Tea, coffee, and sugar provided, as well as all the cooking tools you could need.
The log burner was set up for us before we arrived, and we lit it on our last night. It was so toasty.
The hut was comfortable, cosy, and exactly what you need to escape to the countryside. The eggs from the chickens are a must have!
The local village was lovely too. We had the most beautiful Sunday Roast in the village. We are so grateful for the hints and tips given in the binder on arrival.

Absolutely stunning location and great hosts, they even dropped us a message to let us know the northern lights were visible that night.
It's well kept, cosy and has everything you'd need.
