Nestled between the Western Lake District Fells and the Irish Sea coast this site is situated on a working dairy and sheep farm. Farm tours can be arranged on arrival. A play hut with outdoor games, drying room with communal fridge and freezer (some units have their own small fridge). Natural hedges surround the site. Four fruit trees near the shower block Half a mile to Gosforth village with Shop, Bakery, Cafe, 4 Pubs providing food and an Italian restaurant. Gosforth and Seascale villages have play parks. Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, Wasdale, Scafell Pike and Sandy Beaches with Cafes selling local ice cream are nearby with most Lake District attractions within an hours drive and Edinburgh a three hour drive away. There are 5 campervan/motorhome pitches, a pod, a modern take on a shepherds hut with underfloor heating, a heated pod and two gypsy caravans with electricity to book. All pitches are on gravel positioned to enjoy views over farmland to Scafell Pike and other fells, they are surrounded by grassy areas with seating and a picnic table. A wooden play hut has outdoor games and toys inside. Awnings can be added on the 3 larger pitches. Tents can be pitched next to units for an extra £10 per night. Barbeques are allowed on gravel with our Gypsy Caravans having a campfire area. There is a communal fridge and freezer, outdoor drying space. Farm tours can be arranged. Wildlife and farm animals can be seen in the surrounding fields. Fresh vegetables and barbeque packs can be ordered with 24 to 48 hours notice. Grocery deliveries accepted from supermarkets. There is also a holiday cottage on the farm sleeping 6 over two rooms. Situated midway between the Western Lake District Fells and the Irish Sea Coast makes this site ideal for lower or higher level walks. Sandy beaches at Seascale and St Bees have cafes selling locally made ice cream alongside play areas to keep children happy. Scafell England's highest mountain is close by as are a number of Wainwrights. Nearby is Muncaster Castle and Gardens with its Hawk and Owl Centre, also Ravenglass (a Roman port with remains of a bath house),  you can ride up the Eskdale Valley on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway (Laal Ratty). Perhaps take a stroll to Stanley Ghyll waterfall. They have a cafe at both terminuses with a museum in Ravenglass where nearby you can sample Ravenglass Ice Cream. Wasdale and Ennerdale are close by both valleys having cafes and pubs.

Our site is in the far northwest corner of Wales UK, on the wild coastal edge of the Llŷn Peninsula, or Penllŷn in Welsh. We are surrounded by sea and look across to the mountains of Eryri / Snowdonia. The camping area is part of our private property where we live and work, along with our dog. We are restoring our land to a wildflower meadow and other nature friendly habitat, but allowing use of one field for seasonal camping and occasionally larger gatherings. We are in an ideal spot for cyclists and walkers exploring the coast of Wales (we are a short diversion from the national coast path). Low carbon travellers are welcome, with Pwllheli train station about 5 miles away and we are also on the main Pwllheli to Aberdaron bus route. We can accommodate a limited number of vehicles including camper vans and smaller motor homes (please check size with us first to ensure your motorhome is not too wide for our track). The field is accessed by a good quality track which bypasses the house and garden and goes direct into the field. So we can accommodate cars, tents and camper vehicles, however larger vehicles may struggle with the initial access to our priority which is narrow, so please contact us first to check this out with us. There is an outdoor tap for water by the house and a composting ‘eco’ loo in the camping field. In the near future we will be installing a water supply in the camping area. We can also provide a bbq/ fire pit but ask that you source your own fuel. Exclusive whole site group bookings are possible. **new for 2024 : we have a family size bell tent and a large teepee available for hire, fully set up for you, with or without bedding. please send us an enquiry in advance** There is a wealth of wonderful footpaths, interesting landmarks and fantastic beaches in the nearby area. The villages of Abersoch and Llanbedrog are nearby with a choice of pubs and eateries, Pwllheli has a range of larger shops. Local eggs and other produce can be bought locally too, and there is both a farm shop and village post office/general store. We can help you with finding what you need. We will be nearby at the house to offer assistance so we also ask that you are considerate and also respect our privacy, minimise noise, keep gates closed and access clear.

Our site is in the far northwest corner of Wales UK, on the wild coastal edge of the Llŷn Peninsula, or Penllŷn in Welsh. We are surrounded by sea and look across to the mountains of Eryri / Snowdonia. The camping area is part of our private property where we live and work, along with our dog. We are restoring our land to a wildflower meadow and other nature friendly habitat, but allowing use of one field for seasonal camping and occasionally larger gatherings. We are in an ideal spot for cyclists and walkers exploring the coast of Wales (we are a short diversion from the national coast path). Low carbon travellers are welcome, with Pwllheli train station about 5 miles away and we are also on the main Pwllheli to Aberdaron bus route. We can accommodate a limited number of vehicles including camper vans and smaller motor homes (please check size with us first to ensure your motorhome is not too wide for our track). The field is accessed by a good quality track which bypasses the house and garden and goes direct into the field. So we can accommodate cars, tents and camper vehicles, however larger vehicles may struggle with the initial access to our priority which is narrow, so please contact us first to check this out with us. There is an outdoor tap for water by the house and a composting ‘eco’ loo in the camping field. In the near future we will be installing a water supply in the camping area. We can also provide a bbq/ fire pit but ask that you source your own fuel. What a beautiful place to camp. This was my first time camping and we picked such a lovely place to experience it for the first time. Mark was very welcoming and really helpful. We had a few choices of where we could pitch our tent which was nice. We were very lucky with the weather as well. Beautiful views for a sunset & sunrise. We enjoyed waking up to peace & quiet (minus the farm animals which we were quite content with ☺️) There is a shower room & toilet which is ideal after a days hiking! We would recommend Marks farm to friends & family and would camp there again.

Another wonderful trip to this site. This was our second trip here in a few weeks. It is very handy for Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. The site itself is peaceful, the facilities are well maintained and the hosts are very friendly. We had another couple of fun nights with a campfire roaring and loads of safe space for the kids to run around and play.

The meadow camping at Menter Y Felin Uchaf is brilliant. Each small pitch is cut into high sweeping meadowgrasses. Meaning you can just about see the neighbours but are pretty well secluded. NIce communal firepit with solar lighting. ( firewood and kindling available) Dark Skies !! almost no light pollution saw the milky way very clearly. I can’t adequately express how wonderful our stay with Callie and Gwyn was. The camping meadow was serene with picturesque views of the sea and surrounding hills. The camping amenities such as toilets and showers were immaculately clean and which was welcome after a long day of hiking. There is also a bonus of a converted barn with fridge/freezer, games, and shelter from rain if needed. Perhaps most notable about this stay were the fantastic chats we had with the hosts who were keen to share their love for the local area with handy tips and hints. This will be perhaps the first campsite we definitely will return to. Thank you both for such a fantastic stay, we can’t wait to return!

We had so much fun at this campsite! The host was friendly, communicated with us clearly and promptly, and was so helpful with all of our (possibly silly) questions. We opted in for some extra firewood on the night, which was an amazing way to spend a starry night on the Welsh coast. The pitches were perfect, just the right size, and decently spread out from others as well, so you had some privacy. The site is away from the mainroads, so feels cozy and hidden away, but is also right next to Abersoch (within walking distance) and just a short drive from the more urban Pwllheli. All in all a wonderful trip. We plan on doing it again next year, and will definitely be using this site again. Couldn't recommend enough!
