We stayed in Epynt and had a lovely couple of days. It was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Double bed was very comfortable and the kids liked staying on the bunkbeds. The view from the balcony was beautiful, especially at sun set. We found it warm enough so didn’t need to use the log burner. The communal kitchen was great and the games room was a very welcome addition.

Really enjoyed our stay in Poplys. The podcast was comfortable, warm and well equipped and the whole site was pretty and well thought out, with a good "amenity hub" which is particularly useful in inclement weather. The only slight issue we had was we found the temperature of the showers to be inconsistent and they seemed to start off warm but quite quickly get much colder. It should also be noted that the owners' dogs are free to wander the site which may be a concern for people who are nervous of dogs: one of them made my daughter and I jump when it appeared from the veranda of our pod as we returned one night from the bathroom (although it was perfectly friendly) and the other dog, which was more nervous, was by our car on two occasions when we wanted to access it and barked at us as we approached the car - it did back off when we got closer but some people might find that unnerving. Overrall we had a lovely stay and I'd be happy to return and also to recommend it to others.

We absolutely loved our stay in this shepherd’s hut. The location is fantastic, with plenty of walks and nature spots nearby—perfect for outdoor lovers. The orchard garden was much larger than we expected and ideal for letting our dog roam safely off-lead. The hut itself was impressively well equipped with everything we needed: a fully stocked kitchen, shower, toilet, sink, soft towels, various lighting options, indoor and outdoor seating, plus both a radiator and log burner for cozy evenings. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after long walks. It was also, without a doubt, the cleanest holiday stay we’ve ever experienced. Communication with Ruth was spot on. Everything felt just right, and we enjoyed every moment. We loved it so much we’re already booking our next stay!

Beautiful view. The sky at night is unlike anything I have ever seen; so clear that I could see every star! The hosts were personable and helpful. They offered activities and provided advice for food orders. The hot tub was stunning and located right next to the pod, so it felt very private hopping from one to the other. We had the most wonderful stay at The Sheperd’s Hut. Ruth and Jude were truly wonderful hosts. The location is just beautiful. Waking up to the gorgeous views, and our exploring the local forest was amazing. The sheep, chickens, and friendliest dogs made for a wonderful walk through the field. Everything was spotless, and you could feel the work and love that had been poured in. Tea, coffee, and sugar provided, as well as all the cooking tools you could need. The log burner was set up for us before we arrived, and we lit it on our last night. It was so toasty. The hut was comfortable, cosy, and exactly what you need to escape to the countryside. The eggs from the chickens are a must have! The local village was lovely too. We had the most beautiful Sunday Roast in the village. We are so grateful for the hints and tips given in the binder on arrival. Diolch!

We live in a secluded idyllic hamlet only 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. Yr Hen Felin used to be the flour mill serving Dyffryn House and the Estate. Later it became the woodsman’s cottage. The water wheel no longer exists, but the river runs through the property. The five acre site has two beautifully converted horseboxes and a shepherd’s hut with exclusive use of my art room which has a kitchenette, a woodburning stove and table and sofabed. For those who enjoy a more modern experience we have a dwelling with boifold doors on two sides and spectacular views. The 4 self catering accommodations have their own private spaces, barbecues and their own private hot tubs. We also have a small holding with sheep, alpacas, a pig, hens, ducks and fan tail doves.

Quiet semi rural location close to the ancient township of Caerwys and within walking distance of Offas Dyke Path and local hillforts . Easily accessible off the A541 Mold-Denbigh road , 7 mins from J31 on A55 . A short 20-25 minute drive to the beach resorts of Talacre , Rhyl , Abergele and Prestatyn. The historic towns of Denbigh and Mold are only a 15 minute drive away as is Holywell and Flint . An ideal base to relax and unwind or if you wish to park up for the duration there is plenty of local walks from our gate to lakes and nature reserves in the area. On site you will have ensuite facilities in our luxurious Quarry Wagons with a covered outdoor veranda deck and an outdoor bath tub to relax and unwind under the dark skies. You will also have your own campfire and picnic area right outside and parking is provided adjacent to your unit . We have a secluded private hillside woodland with further areas to explore without even leaving the site . We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . In total we will have 4 camping pitches with direct connection for water , electric and lpg gas for all your heating cooking and bathing needs
