(Please note: no children or dogs). Gwersyllfa Glyndŵr Campsite is a small, peaceful, family run and adult only site for walkers and cyclists. Located within walking distance of the historical market town of Machynlleth, we're a great base for exploring all that rural Mid West Wales has to offer. We're on the Glyndŵr National Walking Trail and the Wales Coast Path. There are many cycling trails of all levels nearby - from the Lon Las and Dyfi Bike Park to Ystwyth and Elan Trails.
A short bus ride from us are the Snowdonia National Park, Cader Idris and beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay.
Our guests love the outdoors but like a little relaxation at the end of a day's activities, so we offer a some home comforts in the communal camping facilities barn which has a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, microwave and washing up area as well as an indoor seating area on the mezzanine level. Hot showers and toilets are available in the wet rooms also situated in the barn. You can unwind under the stars in the communal campfire area next to the camping field, which also has a shelter for cooking with camping stoves.
There's an outdoor sink on the camping field for cleaning muddy gear and a place to clean your bike if needed.
The nearby town offers independent shops, an art gallery and historical buildings. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, grocery shops and a petrol station where you can top up on supplies.
You'll get the best of both worlds at this secluded campsite which overlooks the Dyfi Valley's stunning scenery whilst being within a stone's throw of local amenities.

Guests to Rhos y Gallt describe the campsite as a little gem of a site - small, quite and tranquil with wonderful sunsets. The site can accommodate up to 5 caravans and 10 tents situated on a level 2 acre site within the beautiful rolling hills of Montgomeryshire in Mid Wales.
There are hard standing pitches with electric hook-up as well as grass pitches with and without electric hook-up. There is also a field bordering a river which is used for wild camping - but you'll have to share it with the sheep!
The toilet block has a family wet room with shower, toilet, wash hand basin and baby changing unit, a separate toilet, shower and kitchen area with freezer.
The site borders a river meadow where visitors can wonder down and take a walk down with the river bank, relax by the water edge, throw a few skimmers, do a spot of fishing or even go wild water swimming (at your own risk!).
Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum 2 per unit).
We were delighted to receive a nomination for The Camping and Caravanning Club Best Hideaway Site in 2021 and grateful to our wonderful guests for the nomination.

Greener camping club members only off grid quiet site for families and nature lovers. We have 7 spaced out pitches, 6 on the main field, and 1 woodland pitch where you can relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the local area with its many beaches and beautiful country walks in the Snowdonia National park. We are a dog friendly site with a designated field for dogs to run off their leads. We don't allow dogs in the glamping cabin or bell tent.
We allow bbqs and campfires in the provided chimeneas or firepits, with kiln dried logs or kindling only. (Sold on site) No fires permitted at bell tents.
We have a communal picnic area, for everyone to enjoy.
There are showers, toilets and washing up facilities.

Such a lovely place to camp out, and lots of lovely touches. The showers were toasty and it was great seeing the trees above them. The outdoor sink for washing up was handy. They also had trolleys by the car park so you can wheel your camping equipment to your pitch easily. It was so quiet, and well protected from the wind. My dog loved having his own camping spot that felt really private with the wild meadows around it. It was in a great location to easily drive to local shops, cafes, and even a sauna on the beach (Sauna Mor) in Aberdaron. Would really recommend a stay here, and socialising around the communal fire pit while you do.

Was our first time camping in the car & it was a doddle. Climb Snowdon & went straight to the site afterwards. Got set up & had a wander before the sun went down.
Got up early the next day to use the shower/toilet. Nice have a bog outside to look out onto the valleys!
Picked up a few fallen apples from the trees (made a crumble when we got back to Leeds!)
Super nice little place & would deffo stay again.

We had the most amazing night in the landpod. John and his family were incredibly accommodating and the facilities were better than we could have expected. The kids especially loved the wood fired hot tub, and exploring in the woods. We will definitely return!

Was very easy and relaxed, turn up pick your pitch and left to it really. Showers are £1 for 5 minutes in coins only which was not stated but not too much of a hassle. Overall pretty much what it says on the tin.

Felin Ichaf is a truly beautiful place and the cafe and staff are all really lovely. The camping spaces are so great too. Would totally recommend to anyone. The story tellings in the round house are so special too.

Love love love Henbant. Absolutely amazing site, beautiful views - you can pitch up in a remote spot and barely see anyone all weekend or chose to be more in the thick of things while still having loads of space. The new cafe is fantastic and the barn is ideal in wet weather. We visit every year and it never disappoints.

Callie’s campsite is the best campsite we’ve ever stayed at! The weather was a bit hit or miss while we were there but having the barn space for cooking and for the kids to play in saved our weekend! The views are great and the site and facilities are spotless. Callie is a lovely host and was so helpful and friendly. We had a brilliant time and will definitely be booking again next year.

Magical camping in a beautiful, green and mossy woodland! Very naturalistic, quiet and dark, which we loved. We had neighbours but it always felt very private during our stay. The location is good, with good links to nearby points of interest. The shower block was great, with spacious showers and hot water with good water pressure.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Henbant - it offers a lot of the free feeling of wild camping, with the benefit of (beautiful) shelters from the rain, a really useful shop, and lots for the kids to see and do. Everyone was really welcoming and helpful - we’ve already booked to come back!
