Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or with friends, you can book individual pitches or enjoy exclusive use of the whole site. An ideal location for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. Close to incredible beaches, mountains, Portmeirion and Zipworld. Or just stay put and enjoy the view! Ideal for individuals or small to medium size groups. There is a horse box that sleeps 2 on a high bed above the cab and has a kitchenette/dining space. There are 3 camp areas, one is quite large. All are less than 25 metres from the parking area. Basic facilities; a compost toilet and a tap. This is usually a self check in site and all sites need to be left clean and tidy for the next guests. This is a simple and unspoilt site that offers a tranquil setting, with sounds of nature and amazing views. There are many beautiful beaches and lakes close by, castles, steam trains, mountains, historic buildings and pilgrim churches, water sports, national cycle route and the coastal path. Within 20 minutes by car, bus or train are Harlech, Porthmadog, Tremadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog (zip world). Snowdon walk is half an hour’s drive away. Plenty to do! For local services, 2 miles away in different directions are two villages. Talsarnau has a pub and Penrhyndeudraeth has 2 small supermarkets, post office, several cafes, restaurants and takeaways, 2 pubs and a petrol station. Porthmadog is a few minutes further by car, bus or train and has extensive services and facilities. The property is accessed via a steep narrow lane, with passing places, about 1/2 mile from the A496 road. By public transport, there is a train station and a bus stop in Llandecwyn on the main road. National cycle route 8 passes our property gate. Llyn Tecwyn lake is a few minutes walk up the lane, with Llandecwyn church above that. A little further away are more lakes and reservoirs, the Rhinog mountains with Bryn Cader Faner and a temperate rain forest Coed Felinrhyd. All are lovely hikes from our property.

Coed Obry is a 5.5 acre private woodland on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It has its own private gated access from the road and a 50m track leads from the A 4085 to a small car park for 5 vehicles. Paths lead from there to the caravan, bunkhouse, camping areas. There is a compost toilet block and sink (cold water tap) in the centre of the wood shared by all visitors. The notice board in the car park provides visitors with maps, photos and information about the wood, and there are laminated maps showing the routes of around 30 local walks which visitors are welcome to borrow during their stay. Canoe, kayaks and paddle boards are available to hire in Coed Obry and there are several fire pits with seasoned firewood for sale. There is no mains water so visitors are requested to bring their own drinking water, but rain water harvesting systems provide water for washing. Nearby there are several outstanding beaches within 1-3 miles and there is good access to the mountains of Snowdonia; the Afon Dwyryd provides an excellent sheltered river/estuary for canoeing and paddle boarding; the slate quarries and tourist attractions of Blaenau Ffestiniog, rock climbing at Tremadog (2 miles); spectacular waterfalls at Croesor (1 mile); the Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Railway (0.5 miles); the Glaslyn Osprey Centre (1 mile); several shops, restaurants, hostelries and Spar shop in Penrhyndeudraeth (1 mile); three large supermarkets and a regional shopping centre in Porthmadog (2.5 miles).

There are lovely local forest and waterside walks, neolithic burial sites, a stone circle, Osprey, butterfly and (if you are lucky) red squirrel watching, a secret waterfall and river swimming, easy and challenging off road cycling options, access to water sports. Or if you want to use a car to help get up higher the Clwydian and Berwyn Mountains and Eryri (Snowdon) National Park are all within a half an hour drive. If history and mooching is your thing we are just 5 miles from Ruthin - one of the oldest existing Tudor towns - boasting an historic gaol, a craft centre with regular exhibitions and a castle with a spa and peacocks. Denbigh with its stunning castle, Corwen, Llangollen, Llyn Tegid (Bala) and the North Wales Coast are easy to reach by car. There are also options for days out using public transport including taking a steam train. Please ask - they aren't all known to Google! The nearby village has a community run pub and shop with the Glan Llyn tafan offering food by local gastro company Sorbus. In fact there are loads of great little villages near by each with their own character and points of interest including great cafes, walks, Punjabi pub food, historic churches and sacred wells.

We have two places to stay Colwyn Cabin a Rustin 1970’s woodpecker caravan sleeps 2 and Snowdon Lodge a more modern static caravan sleeps 4. They are both set in their own private gardens next to Colwyn river, surrounded by trees with views of Moel Hebog and Snowdon mountains. There are acres of forest to walk through on the doorstep.

I had a lovely stay at Maes Heddwch - the shepherd's hut is beautifully cosy, with everything you need and extras too, and I loved the views out over the fields and the surrounding countryside - including some very friendly sheep and cows. Seeing the full moon over the valley was amazing! Ruth was very welcoming and helpful and I would love to come back again. Thank you x

Magical camping in a beautiful, green and mossy woodland! Very naturalistic, quiet and dark, which we loved. We had neighbours but it always felt very private during our stay. The location is good, with good links to nearby points of interest. The shower block was great, with spacious showers and hot water with good water pressure.

Alistair and Goshia have created a wonderful serene environment on their farm. It felt very private (there is another yurt located in the opposite direction and down the hill) we never heard the other visitors. The views were beautiful, the August full moon rose just above the hill in front of our yurt and made the evening breathtaking. The interior is rustic and artistic and feels original rather than curated as is the case with alot of places. We went on a thunderstormy weekend yet our children didn’t mind it at all as they were fascinated by the yurt and its surroundings. Alistair and Goshia made it very comfortable. We also cooked with fresh produce from their farm and what a difference the flavour made. We strongly recommend this place! And shall definitely be returning there multiple times again! Thank you Alistair and Goshia!

Amazing 3 night stay on the llyn peninsula at the Hideaway pod at Tyn-y-capel. We had a warm welcome from the hosts, Rebecca and Dave and my two boys aged 6&9y thoroughly enjoyed meeting the animals, including the friendly dogs, chickens, goats and shetland ponies. The site was gorgeous with a disused church on site, which was very atmospheric and a great backdrop and views out to the coast. The pod itself was immaculate, warm and cosy and very comfortable. Weekend Trip to Felin Uchaf Meadow Camping

We booked the bunkhouse for 3 of us for 3 nights, loads of space, comfy beds and great outdoor kitchen set up. Outdoor showers were lovely and warm and toilet, shower, washing up area was never too busy so it felt quiet, but there were always staff around if needed. We loved the fire pit area which was perfect for toasting marshmallows and star gazing. The location is perfect for exploring the Llyn peninsula, Porthor, Aberdaron, Abersoch, Llanbedrog and Porthdinllaen all within easy reach.

The view from the Boy John is beautiful, watching the tide come and go is very relaxing, listening to the birds and watching shoals of fish and crabs in the water. We even enjoyed waving to the train drivers as they slowed down when they passed. Watching shooting stars from the top deck late at night, what more could you ask for?

It was a beautiful site! Frances & Nigel were lovely and communicative. Adorable little wagons to bring stuff from the car to the tent (for sites where the car isn't parked right on the site). Bathrooms were very clean. All the facilities were lovely and the effort put into them was blatant. Would absolutely camp there again!

Amazing space. We stayed in a roundhouse that had a birds nest in the roof. Everything about the place was great, the kids loved it, felt the most relaxed I've felt in months just walking around the site with my 13-year-old son. Cafe is amazing, just a shame it wasnt open all week. Will be returning.

We had a fantastic stay at Felin for a special birthday celebration. We booked the bell tents and the accommodation was fab quality. Mattresses were very comfortable and the tents were spotless. The whole campsite is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Like stepping into another world. Highly recommend!

Loved the roundhouse. It was warm, peaceful, comfortable. The double bed was amazing. The bathroom was ideal with enclosed shower cubicle and compost loo. The location was a dream for peace and surrounded by nature. Everything was thought about. Would recommend a stay here.

What an lovely campsite! The hut is placed in the woods surrounded by old trees and is very peaceful. The space has everything you need but still has that camping feel to it. We had no signal so no choice but to embrace the off-grid nature! Communication and directions were great. Would 100% stay again and recommend.
