The space
Waunbayvil camping is set in its own secluded spot on 40 acres of private wildland and woodlands in the Pembrokeshire national Park, with a pond and views of the stunning landscape. It is the perfect getaway, a place to re-connect with nature and your loved ones in the most peaceful place away from it all. This is not a big campsite with lots of other people, you can book the whole campsite for a private group, or otherwise, only 2 or 3 families very spread out at a time.
The pitches are set out with plenty of space in between. There is parking for cars or campervans, and the camping area itself is not accessible for vehicles, making it a lovely car free space with nothing but nature all around you. You will need to carry tents and equipment up to the camping area., only around 100m from the parking area. (We have a wheel barrow for you to use)We also have a small hard standing area for campervan.
There is a compost loo, a washing up area, and an off grid shower shack. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, teaming with wild life and filled with wild orchids and many different species of grasses and wildflowers. It is unique and a treat for people who love natural habitat. The sea is about two miles away where there are spectacular cliff walks for many miles on the Pembrokeshire coast path, and beautiful beaches for swimming.
Bring logs and kindling with you. (Can be bought from any garage)
If you bring a cool box we can top you up with frozen ice packs. Just ask.

40 acres of meadows, wildlife habitat and woods which guests are welcome to roam. You can walk down the track and visit the artists gallery and shop in the big blue barn.

We had a fantastic stay. John the campsite owner was incredibly helpful, recommending local highlights and even put us up in one of the yurts when the weather turned. A real highlight is the viewpoint from the rock across the lighthouse and ocean. Highly recommend this site.

Lovely, well appointed camp! Great facilities and hidden gems to discover once you are there! Pizzas are delicious and a truly magical spot looking towards the Priselli hills. Spa was delightful, pigs are friendly and the hay bale barn was a big hit with the kids! Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved staying at Menter Y Felin Uchaf camping site over the recent August Bank Holiday. The site is characterful with beautiful views. I particularly enjoyed the tranquillity of the site which made for a truly relaxing break.
I happened to be staying when a storytelling evening took place and this was a highlight of my stay.

The meadow camping at Menter Y Felin Uchaf is brilliant. Each small pitch is cut into high sweeping meadowgrasses. Meaning you can just about see the neighbours but are pretty well secluded.
NIce communal firepit with solar lighting. ( firewood and kindling available)
Dark Skies !! almost no light pollution saw the milky way very clearly.
Good location for end of the Llyn beaches or walks

We did a spot of tent camping in Dai’s field. Plenty of space available to just rock up and pick your pitching spot. Views of the sea and cliffs were incredible with easy trails to the cliff/beach area.
Portable toilets were plentiful and clean and running tap water was available. There was also a decent looking shower although we didn’t utilise it.
Dai was friendly and let us know that we could call him at any time if there were problems on site. Also texted us with exact coordinates for the entrance which made finding it easy, although it’s a bit of a tight turn in from the small country road!
Local area was stunning and many cool places are within driving distance. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Loved Pitch 4. We had two small tents and we still had plenty of space. We had the benefit of getting a shade from the hedge behind our tent. Overall, a great experience at Felin Uchaf. We had the perfect weather for the weekend. Facilities such as toilets and hot showers were great. Plenty of things to do around the area, cafe, beaches, and beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend this campsite!
