We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months. Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

Liba Vineyard is a biodynamic vineyard and luxury woodland glamping site on the edge of Salisbury, just 15 minutes from Stonehenge. Our vineyard, hand planted in Spring 2024, has nearly 4,000 vines of four different varieties. We manage our vines in line with organic and biodynamic principles, working hand-in-hand with nature and avoiding the use of any herbicides, pesticides, and synthetic fertilisers. We hope to take our first (small) harvest in 2026, by which time we will be fully certified (organic and biodynamic) and will be able to make our wine on-site. Our glamping pods, brand new for Autumn 2025 seek to give guests an eco-luxurious stay in an area of native woodland bordering the vineyard. These pods are perfect as a base for exploring Salisbury, nearby historic sites such as Stonehenge and Old Sarum, or the beautiful countryside of the New Forest National Park, Cranbourne Chase National Landscape, North Wessex Downs or the Cotswolds area of outstanding natural beauty slightly further afield.

This is a lovely place to stay. The railway carriage was very comfortable and very well laid out, packing a lot of functionality into a cozy space. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. It’s just a short drive to several must see places like Bath and Avebury henge.

Tent pitches are mown into our beautiful camping meadow.

Weekend Trip to Great Cotmarsh Farm

Great little site with only a few pitches so you can really enjoy some peace and the beauty of the local area! The pizza oven and individual fire pits were a great bonus. Fantastic host who was super responsive and helpful.

2 nights at Marshwood Farm Camping

The camp site was great. Only 6 large pitches, three fixed bell tents and shepherd huts may this a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The parking was well sign posted. The utility hut had a well stocked communal kitchen, solar heated showers and an honesty shop. My two sons loved the space to play and football goal and ball provided. Plus the ice creams in the shop ! Also seeing the sheep being moved by the sheep dog.

Our second stay at Marshwood was just as good as the first! We really enjoyed the play area which wasn’t here last time, the kids enjoy the freedom of being able to play. The facilities are excellent and very clean, the shop well stocked and the campsite quiet and peaceful.

Weekend Trip to Romantic Country Glamping

Fantastic shepherd's hut. The location was reachable by public transport and walking (train to Trowbridge, X34 bus to Southwick Post Office, 15 min walk) so car isn't essential. The indoor heater made a huge difference, and the provided cake, bread, eggs, jam etc. were amazing and very generous. In reach of some good walks too. Would definitely plan to come here again, really loved it.

Where to go

South Wiltshire

Most tours of Wiltshire start in the cathedral city of Salisbury. To the west, the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs AONB affords plenty of ways to escape the crowds. Hike along chalk river valleys, enjoy leisurely bike or horseback rides across grassy plains, and stroll the flower gardens of the Stourhead Estate, then pitch your tent at quiet farmland campsites.

Central Wiltshire

North of Salisbury, the chalk downlands of the Salisbury Plains lead the way to some of the region’s most unique sights. Discover the mysterious stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury, marvel at the famous Wilshire White Horses, or follow the Great West Way heritage trail. More highlights await in the North Wessex Downs AONB, from nature walks to canoeing along the Kennet and Avon canal.

North Wiltshire and the Cotswolds

Swindon is the gateway to Wiltshire’s northern region, where idyllic country villages dot the banks of the River Avon. Lacock village is a photographer’s favorite, but the prettiest villages lie in the Cotswolds AONB. Wiltshire borders Hampshire to the southeast, providing easy access to the New Forest National Park. Choose between family-friendly holiday parks or simple back-to-nature campsites, where you can enjoy woodland walks and admire the park’s free-roaming herds of native ponies. For a change of scenery, the beach towns of Milford on sea and Barton on sea are just a 30-minute drive away.
