Stowford Manor Farm Campsite

51 units · Glamping, Motorhomes25 acres · Trowbridge, England
We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months. Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

Greendayz

20 units · Tents4 acres · Shepton Mallet, Somerset, South West England
Greendayz is a 4 acre smallholding and camp site. With nice open areas alongside pigs, chickens and vegetable patches. Why not come and sample fresh free range eggs and organically grown vegetables during your stay?Set down for a stay surrounded by the south Somerset countryside at Greendayz. At this family-run and family-friendly campsite, you’ll be well-based for a spot of stargazing, wildlife spotting and plenty of fresh air. It’s 15 minutes’ drive from Glastonbury. (And it’s all easy to get to us well, as the A303 is only 15 minutes away – making it potentially rather handy for a stopover.) Surrounded by a working smallholding with fields actively used throughout the year, even with pigs and chickens the site is pretty peaceful. Pick a plot where you please in the 4 acre field. With all the open spaces, there’s plenty of places for kids to let off some steam and families to play games, look out for wildlife, build firepits (there is wood available to buy on site if you need) or unwind with a barbecue (there are two on site but it may be better to bring your own with you). If hammocks are your thing feel free to string a few up between the trees or posts. There's a multitude of things to do in the nearby area from Wooky Hole to the town of Glastonbury and its world famous festival.
