We live in a secluded idyllic hamlet only 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. Yr Hen Felin used to be the flour mill serving Dyffryn House and the Estate. Later it became the woodsman’s cottage. The water wheel no longer exists, but the river runs through the property. The five acre site has two beautifully converted horseboxes and a shepherd’s hut with exclusive use of my art room which has a kitchenette, a woodburning stove and table and sofabed. For those who enjoy a more modern experience we have a dwelling with boifold doors on two sides and spectacular views. The 4 self catering accommodations have their own private spaces, barbecues and their own private hot tubs. We also have a small holding with sheep, alpacas, a pig, hens, ducks and fan tail doves.

These ponds once served the Oakhill Brewery. Stout was first brewed in the village of Oakhill in 1767, using water which comes down from the Mendip Hills. In the 18th century Oakhill Stout was thought to have ‘magical‘ healing properties. Now you can take a dip in these waters. The beady-eyed can spot kingfisher, heron, buzzard, kite, cormorant & much more in the way of wildlife. Walled garden guests have access to this larger site in the afternoons, between 1pm and 5pm. The retreat site is not suitable for young children. Coming soon: Don't miss the uniqueness of the pop-up off-grid spa with horse-trailer sauna, wood-fired hot tub and treatment tent. Our ancient woodland is 15 acres with streams and a lake. There are fields of grazing sheep all around. We have just two camps. It is our first season and we will be very happy to hear your on the spot feedback. Help us develop a really good camping experience. The two camps are at opposite ends of the woodland and are set up with two Tentsile tree tents each. It is quiet, peaceful and lovely, great for birdwatching. The Bannau Brycheiniog, (the Brecon Beacons) are a stone's throw away, you can see them from our property. The A40 and Llandovery train station are just minutes away.

Lovely quiet little campsite, not very busy even in kids holidays. Gorgeous setting on the river. Car parking plentiful. Just the one pub and little shop, and no supermarkets within walking distance, so bring all your supplies with you. Toilets are very clean, showers are clean but very erratic haha

Beautiful location. You are on a tiny little island, with boats on the river. The pub is beautiful. I didn't actually go there other than to check in but it was lovely. Lots of outdoor seating, there was a pizza oven too, which wasn't on but would be great if it had been.

The campsite is a nice size and there was a lovely chilled atmosphere when we stay. The facilities could do with an update as they are very basic and compact but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our camping trip!

Rozanne’s place is a must-stay. We had such a restful and restorative long weekend, cooking breakfasts on the bbq, reading in the hammocks and sitting around the fire. The horse box is well-equipped, cosy and surprisingly spacious. You can’t hear anything but birdsong and our dog enjoyed exploring the large plot on the lead. Rozanne was a very generous host, even letting us feed the alpacas and ducks with her. We’ll be back for sure!

Had a beautiful stay. The hut was clean and well equipped. The shower was a bit lacking but better than nowt. I particularly loved that the hut was enclosed in its own paddock so my dog was contained and I could relax. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a log. Had a visit from a peacock as the sun went down each evening, how cool!

We stayed as a small family of three in the Cedar Cabin for my birthday and had a great time! The Cabin was cosy, tidy and in a great spot with views down the valley. Andrew helped us settle in and had some recommendations for places to visit. We had the fire pit one night and shamefully we struggled to keep a fire going, so Andrew popped over to help out. With the anglers pond nearby, it was great for bird watching. We will definitely be returning and thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Our beautiful home is a glamping and camping site with its own gorgeous fishing lake on the outskirts of the village of Llandyfan. You can find us to the west of the Brecon Beacons or Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Llandyfan Campsite has been lovingly re-established in early 2024 by Andy and Jo. Since taking ownership, we have rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into restoring it to its former glory and will soon be back to being a fully operational slice of Welsh heaven. Our first focus has been the fishing lake which we opened in March. The campsite followed in May. We are currently working on electric hook ups and other improvements. We have chickens on site that roam free during the day. They are friendly and like to wander around the tents to say hello to our guests! We would like everyone who visits to have a great time and a relaxing break. Whilst here please be considerate towards others, to their property, and while using the facilities. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We have brought out a few rules from our T&Cs and we kindly ask that you have a read through before your stay. Litter: You must pick up your litter. Please either take it with you or recycle it appropriately in the bins onsite. There are bins around the campsite, please recycle where possible. Pitches to be left as you found them. Noise: Be respectful and consider your neighbours. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am in the morning. No loud music is to be played at any time. Children: Children must be supervised at all times around the campsite and can play within the pitch space allocated to you. At quiet times, it may be possible for children to use vacant pitches for play but this cannot be guaranteed. The amenity block and associated facilities are not to be used as a play area. Dogs: Must not to be left unattended. Are to be kept on leads at all times whilst on the campsite. (We are working on an enclosed dog walking area, however this is not yet available). no refunds on bookings if cancelled withing 10days of booking
