Andrea's Farm Breaks is Keepers Hut glamping accommodation run alongside a working farm campsite in the heart of Purbeck. Andrea is pleased to offer a little luxury for those who want to camp at Downshay Farm in a comfortable bed. Farm is a working farm in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, ideally located for exploring the stunning World Heritage Site coastline. The Pike family has farmed here since 1956. The farmhouse is largely Victorian although parts of the house and some farm buildings are much older. The accommodation looks out over the lovely views of Corfe Castle and the Purbeck Hills. The seaside town of Swanage is just over 4 miles away as are the sandy beaches of Studland Bay. Local footpaths and Swanage Steam Railway also make exploring Purbeck easy, and we are a few minutes’ walk from Harmans Cross Station. Enjoy the sandy beaches of Shell Bay, Studland and Swanage or go rock pooling or fossil hunting at Kimmeridge Bay. The Coastal Path will take you along the coast to Durlston Country Park, Dancing Ledge and Winspit. The deserted village of Tyneham and its own bay is a short drive away, then follow the scenic road over the Ranges to Lulworth and Durdle Door. Local attractions include Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum, and a walk through the RSPB bird sanctuary at Arne to Poole Harbour is recommended.

Our Yurt is set up in the trees giving you peaceful seclusion and a clear view across the sea to Wales and the mountains of the Brecon Beacons. A huge range of activities are possible or you can lie in the hammock with a good book. We have very friendly dogs and rescue chickens who may come and visit. Wild deer wander past in the early morning mist and the odd buzzard picks an argument with a bunch of crows but nothing much else should disturb you. We moved here after an 18 month search 8 years ago. It was close to everything we wanted and we've spent some time getting a bit closer.

The Shepherd's Hut at Coombe Farm Glamping is only an hour or so from London and within easy reach of Goodwood, Cowdray and the south coast; yet once you're here, you'll feel as if you've stepped through the back of the wardrobe and into the ancient woodland that surrounds, unimpeded views towards the South Downs and barely another soul around. The hut stands alone in the field, so you will exclusively enjoy the tranquility the land has to offer.
The Hut is equipped with fresh linen and towels, made extra cozy and warm with a beautiful flame and clean burning bio ethanol burner which creates a relaxed ambience, providing amazing heat for the chillier season stay.
The wash area is compact with everything you will need for alfresco catering and dining, including a great camp compressor fridge. We also provide equipment to cook on the ample fire pit for an authentic camp experience. We have a revitalizing, hot and spacious shower, all run from our off grid system. We also provide luxury toiletries.
Our loo is composting, extremely clean and freshly set up for every new guest and in keeping with our off grid, low-fi ethos.
Our family farm, Durleigh Marsh Farm is in Rogate, 5 min drive from Rake or about an hours walk through the woodland south from the hut. The popular Tea room offers a great breakfast and lunch menu. Booking is advisable.
Between the nearby traditional market towns of Petersfield and Haslemere you will discover a diverse choice of places to shop, dine and drink.
The site is encompassed by beautiful walks and trails taking you further into the heart of the South Downs.

A beautiful location and lovely shepherds hut. Very private and romantic. I particularly loved the outdoor kitchen and sitting by the fire bit in the evening. Lovely walks through woodlands easy to get to with no need to drive.

We had the most amazing overnight stay at the Shepherd’s Hut with our three young children and our dog. Laura gave us the warmest welcome - she was so friendly, helpful, and made us feel completely at home right away. The hut itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need.
The kids absolutely loved exploring the surroundings, and it was such a safe, peaceful space for them to run around and enjoy the fresh air. Our dog was just as happy - plenty of room for walks and a truly pet-friendly atmosphere.
Evening by the firepit under the stars was magical, and waking up to the sound of birds and stunning countryside views was the perfect escape from everyday life.
Laura went above and beyond to make our stay special. We honestly didn’t want to leave!

Stayed for 4 nights but felt I could’ve lived there. So well thought out and finished to a really high standard. The bed was so comfortable and the trip gave me everything I needed. The toilet block was a stones throw away, with hot showers.

Laura is the best host and the Pod was perfect!! The bed was super comfy, pod was really clean and the showers and toilets 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful night or few away. The little spot is peaceful and secluded just what we wanted !! Two very happy campers 🙂

Great location and very clean amenities. Quiet and secluded. Andrea also let us pitch a small tent on the patch which was very convenient for us both. The hut is kitted out with everything you need. There’s a great bbq out side too. But the induction hot plate did a fabulous job…we’re going to buy one! We will be back next year for more walking and running. Super place. Everyone very friendly

Lovely weekend at the Hampshire hut at Sindles farm. Had a view of the maize fields, lovely walks on the door step. Stansted House and garden centre a short walk away. Chichester and wittering Beach a short drive away. Laura’s communication was great, so it was easy to find. The bathrooms were super clean too.

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying in the bell tent. We were already familiar with the field, having camped there with our own tent in the past. But it was so nice to just arrive and have everything set up, including really comfortable beds, particularly travelling with a young child. It makes life much easier. The tent is surprisingly spacious, so can imagine that even in bad weather it would be a really pleasant experience. Everything we needed was provided and the plug sockets were very handy for charging phones, etc. There were even extra blankets in case we got cold. The views are stunning, the toilet and shower facilities are very clean and well maintained. It is a great location for a family holiday, close to Corfe, Swanage and Studland. Andrea was an excellent host and incredibly helpful and responsive to messages before we arrived. I would wholeheartedly recommend the bell tent and look forward to returning in the future.
