The Ibberton Yurt
Tucked away in the peaceful Dorset village of Ibberton, at the foot of Bulbarrow Hill, our traditional Mongolian yurt offers a private countryside escape within the grounds of The Ibberton.
The yurt sleeps up to four guests and combines the character and simplicity of glamping with proper home comforts. Inside there is a double bed and two single beds, along with comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, a fridge and space to relax. Guests also have their own separate private shower room with walk-in shower and toilet.
Outside, the yurt has its own deck and private garden area with a covered cookhouse, gas hob and BBQ facilities. The setting is particularly peaceful, with mature trees, a running stream and very little passing traffic. On clear nights, guests can lie in bed and look up through the yurt’s central crown at the stars.
The Ibberton pub is only a short walk away, serving homemade seasonal food, local ales and Dorset cider. It gives guests the choice of cooking something simple outside or wandering over for lunch, dinner or a drink without needing to drive.
The area is especially good for walkers and cyclists. Footpaths and quiet lanes begin almost from the door, while the Ibberton Millennium Path runs through the parish and is waymarked locally. Maps are available from The Ibberton. Bulbarrow Hill and Ibberton Hill are close by, with far-reaching views across the Blackmore Vale and surrounding Dorset countryside. The ancient Wessex Ridgeway also passes nearby.
A popular local walk links Ibberton with Bulbarrow Hill, taking around two hours and covering roughly 6–7km, while longer routes can take guests through Woolland, Milton Abbas and the surrounding chalk downland. (Tess Of The Vale)
For days out, guests can explore Sturminster Newton and the North Dorset Trailway, Sherborne and its Abbey, Shaftesbury and Gold Hill, Blandford Forum and Dorchester. The Jurassic Coast is also within reach for a full day out.

Prime Farm is a small and peaceful campsite located within the Dorset National Landscape (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), less than five miles from the iconic Jurassic Coast - ideal for exploring both coast and countryside.
Situated in rural West Dorset, between Lyme Regis and Bridport, we open our gates for the first time in 2025.
With spacious wildflower meadow pitches overlooking the stunning Marshwood Vale, we aim to give guests the space and tranquillity to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of the world.
Camping: We offer three tent-only camping pitches. Two are located in our beautiful six-acre wildflower meadow, and the third in a more sheltered field closer to the facilities. Each pitch is generously spaced, offering ample room and privacy for guests to unwind. Every pitch includes a picnic table and fire pit.
Glamping: Our fabulous 17-foot Mongolian yurt sits in its own a secluded meadow with its own composting toilet, picnic table, and fire pit. Furnished with a king-sized bed and two optional children’s beds (bedding provided), the yurt offers exclusive access to the field, perfect for a peaceful and private stay.
Facilities: The entire camping and glamping site is off-grid. Facilities include composting toilets, a gas-heated shower, and a washing-up area. The nights can be wonderfully dark and star-filled, so don’t forget to bring a torch.
Greener Camping Club: As an exclusive Greener Camping Club campsite we require one valid Greener Camping Club member per booking (£12). If you're not already a member, please select this as an Extra when booking. You will receive your annual membership by email, allowing you access to the many other Greener Camping sites across the UK.
Worth Noting: To maintain peace and safety for all guests we do not allow cars on site. Pitches are approximately 150m from the parking area, with wheelbarrows to help you transport your things. One car allowed per pitch.
Enjoy sunsets and sunrises, the sound of songbirds, and the chance to spot hares, deer, and other wildlife. You're surrounded by nature here, binoculars are a great addition if you’d like a closer look!

The yurt is absolutely beautiful and so well equipped - the hosts have thought about absolutely everything you might need- and everything you hadn't thought of! It's in a fantastic location too, with the pub nearby serving delicious food if you're not inclined to cook yourself. The hosts are lovely and go out of their way to help. Definitely 5* and can't wait to go back.

Weekend Trip to the willow yhurt
We booked a last minute one night away to stay in the yurt and everything was perfect.
The yurt is clean, cosy and has everything you need. A comfy double bed and two singles; one single bed pulls out from under the other, which made a great floor bed for our toddler. We had the option of using an electric heater, but we didn't need it as was plenty warm enough. Towels and bedding were provided, along with milk, tea and coffee. The shower room and toilets are a very short walk away; the toilets are inside The Ibberton pub and the showers are next to it (brand new and clean).
We cooked our breakfast (provided by the owners) on the gas stove in the covered outdoor kitchen area. Plenty of plates and utensils, including everything needed to wash up. There is an outside table and two camping chairs which we found very useful.
The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed a walk up the hill behind the yurt and went to the local church. That night we had a lovely meal at the pub - delicious food and options for little ones too.

Amazing stay with beautiful views. The tent is equipped with everything you need and beds are comfortable.
The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together.
We had an amazing time and would definitely return and recommend the stay.

David and Jasper went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care off. The campsite is near town, just a 20 minutes walk along the river. The facilities at the campsite are primitive, but adequate and clean. Loved the hot showers! We stayed in a yurt and that was very comfortable and very well equipped. Our kids (and the other kids at the campsite) spent most of the time in and around the tree with a swing, so nice! They called it the best campsite ever! Hope to come back one day!

We loved it. The meadow is beautiful and during our week in May we awoke to the sound of cookoos every morning - joy. We were in the smaller Yurt which was really warm and comfortable. David was really available and bought us wood for the fire when we needed. Classic camping and a wonderful escape from the city! Thanks David.

We stayed in Pippin with our 10 year old child. Gorgeous location, with a small number of units making for a very peaceful site. We spent most of our stay heading out to visit family but wish we had been able to spend more time on the site as it is really stunning. Hosts were very welcoming. This would be a lovely place to hire out with a group as you could book the whole site…one day, hopefully!

Best Glamping experience ever 💜 We love Glamping and have been in a lot of places in the last few years but this was by far the best place 💜 Loved the yurt, the fact that you have you own bathroom, the kitchen area had everything that you would need and the the pool table and table tennis area for rainy days 🥰 our kids loved the outside play areas so much that they didn't want to go home 🤩 All in all a perfect experience, thank you Mark and Caryl for everything 🥰 We'll definitely be back next year 💜

Just got home from an amazing week at Caalm Camp! Such a great find. First time we've stayed in yurt, and we loved it! So spacious, with a lovely log burner (they supply wood) and cooker to make hot drinks. And plenty of space to sleep, eat and play games. There's only 5 yurts, so it never feels overcrowded. The main building is just a 30second walk away, with large private bathrooms for each yurt, games room, dining area with tv, and a spacious kitchen that has a fridge and storage cupboards assigned to each yurt, and all the utensils you could possibly need.
What i really loved was the landscape. You're surrounded by fields and nature. The path that takes you to the yurts is lit up at night - so enchanting. The owners have goats which kids can pet and feed. Each yurt has its own picnic table, fire pit, bbq and fresh water tap. There was a small kids play area outside, plus pool table, table tennis and darts inside. And as if that wasn't enough, there was golf-frisbee, which we all got involved with.
We honestly spent so much time here and I can't recommend this place enough. The owners made us feel so incredibly welcome and they've really made sure you want for nothing.

Wonderful semi-wild pitch. We have tried the meadow pitch here before (would also recomend) but booked the Tenders pitch as it included a yurt and outdoor kitchen which was perfect for a friend who doesn't enjoy camping experiences too much. The site is huge! Amazing value for money if there is a group of you going. The site has everything you could need. The woods are very close to the Dorset coast. The woods themselves are beautiful and bright pink from Rhododendron's. The children had great fun exploring and playing hide and seek in the woods. Cannot recommend enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed at Caalm camp Dorset. Well equipped luxurious yurts in a gorgeous country side. Warm, spacious, fully equipped. Gorgeous grounds with a private BBQ and fire pit for each unit. Disc golf, playground for kids, some space for football, table tennis, billiard and more for running around and socialising. Each family gets it's own bathroom which is a real game changer in terms of convince. Lovely communal spaces indoors and outdoors. Everything just amazing. Strongest recommendation 💓 we are definitely coming back
